Ladon and Calypso were very shocked, as if they had completely not expected that the other party could be completely unaffected.
Dane flew up again. This time he directly crashed into Ladon's body, pushing it towards the ground.
Ladon flapped its wings, trying to regain the initiative, but it was useless.
Dane was as hard as a rock, unmoving no matter how Ladon clawed or struck him.
He pushed the giant dragon from the top of Atlas Mountains all the way down, directly to the ground at the foot of the mountain, and the trinity was instantly broken.
Ladon's huge body fell to the ground, cracking the foundations at the foot of the mountain.
A massive earthquake spread all the way to the mountaintop. The Old Wizard, who was climbing through the labyrinth inside the temple, was shaken by the sudden earthquake and almost fell face-first.
He cursed under his breath, then headed towards the outer perimeter of the labyrinth.
He hadn't been here in a long time, so his memory was a bit hazy, but fortunately, the general direction should be correct.
The Old Wizard walked, muttering to himself: "That brat Dane, I told him I'd lost all my power, yet he still guards the Shazam Force so strictly. Couldn't he at least lend me the Scepter temporarily?"
But there was nothing he could do; he could only keep moving forward with his old arms and legs.
At the foot of the mountain.
Dane stood up from Ladon's body. The dragon was now so disoriented from the fall that it was difficult for it to move.
It looks big, but it's actually not that tough, huh?
Beside Ladon, Calypso lay fallen on the ground.
She was a Titan descendant, so dying was out of the question, but she would likely be unconscious for some time due to a concussion.
Dane approached Calypso. Ladon roared loudly, trying to grab Dane with its front claws.
But Dane simply raised a hand, calling down a bolt of lightning from the sky that struck it.
This move was immediately effective, and Ladon stopped its struggling.
Dane pulled out another pair of handcuffs from his inventory and cuffed Calypso's hands, suppressing the jealousy within her body.
Two of the Three Goddesses were now captured. He wondered what surprises Hespera would bring him.
Dane took out his lantern ring and aimed it at Ladon, absorbing it into the lantern ring's World, letting it keep Parallax company.
Then he picked up Calypso and flew back up Atlas Mountains.
Below the temple steps, a giant tree grew, so withered it looked as if it were dead. The Old Wizard Shazam stood beside the giant tree.
Dane landed in front of the giant tree, casually tossing Calypso aside.
The Old Wizard merely glanced at the goddess on the ground and then ignored her.
Although Calypso had tormented him in various ways over the past few years, the experienced Old Wizard actually hadn't taken it to heart.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" The Old Wizard asked.
Dane felt a little amused by the Old Wizard's question.
"Or not, then?"
The Old Wizard's expression almost broke. Well, he still needed to bring the Tree of Life back to life, so he simply stopped talking.
Dane reached out, and the Scepter suddenly appeared in his hand.
He pointed his hand at the sky, and a beam of light shot from the crystal into the heavens. An invisible barrier separating the Human Realm and the Divine Realm was immediately lifted.
The rich vitality from the Human Realm poured into this long-vacant Divine Realm. Other creatures in the Divine Realm immediately noticed the change.
However, after thousands of years of changes, not many species still survived in the Divine Realm. Many had lost their magical abilities and had degenerated into ordinary creatures.
After all, in a place without magic, retaining magical abilities was not conducive to survival.
But now, they might have a chance for a new transformation.
Like Paradise Island, if the Divine Realm could maintain its mystery, then under the nourishment of the nascent Tree of Life, it could still become a magical holy land.
Although it would be impossible to recreate the glory of the Age of Gods, it could still continue to exist by adapting to the changes of the times.
Moreover, Dane increasingly felt that combining magic and technology, rather than simply developing magic, would be the future direction of the Magical Realm.
The Atlanteans' thinking was actually correct, they just took it to an extreme.
Surface people thought about how to go to the sky and explore the vast Universe, but the Atlanteans, living deep in the Undersea, dwelled in the ocean depths year-round.
They had little interest in the Surface, let alone the Universe.
Dane would say their perspective was too small. The Universe is so vast; there might even be liquid planets. Couldn't those serve as a second home for Atlanteans?
As long as there were enough extraterrestrial colonies, there would be no need to compete with Surface people for the limited resources on Earth.
However, Dane then thought that this might be related to the Atlanteans' beliefs.
The beliefs of the Olympus pantheon were basically all on Earth. Perhaps the roots of all Old Gods were on Earth; this was the World they could not abandon.
After a brief moment of distraction, the vitality of the Human Realm spread rapidly within the Divine Realm.
This was similar to the siphon principle: once the Divine Realm, lacking vitality, encountered the vibrant Human Realm, it desperately absorbed the Human Realm's vitality like a water spout.
Fortunately, the prosperity and development of humanity over the past millennia had led to a large population, able to withstand such absorption by the Divine Realm.
However, this fluctuation in vitality still attracted the attention of the Magical Realm.
Constantine, Zatanna, and Dr. Fate, among others skilled in magic, all sensed the loss of vitality from the Human Realm.
Even Diana, who rarely used magic, noticed this change.
"What's going on?" Diana felt a little strange.
Zatanna was beside her. After that birthday night, their relationship had eased to some extent.
Zatanna sat in meditation for a while. Her clairvoyance revealed that the Human Realm's vitality was being transferred to another Small World, and she sensed Dane's aura in that Small World.
Everything is normal here.
Dane also noticed her thoughts and sent her this message.
Zatanna opened her eyes, looked at Diana, and said, "It's Dane, he's handling a magic event."
As soon as Diana heard that Dane was handling it, she immediately put the matter aside.
In London, Constantine was performing a divination in his old house. A few minutes later, he discarded the hexagram.
He wouldn't dare interfere with the Master's affairs.
Dr. Fate sensed the changes in the Human Realm and immediately began to peer into fate. In less than three minutes, he understood the whole story.
The matter between the Human Realm and the Divine Realm was a muddled affair, and since Shazam was already handling it, Dr. Fate decided to leave it alone.
Thus, an event that could have caused a stir in the Magical Realm was directly averted due to Dane's personal involvement.
Once the vitality between the two realms reached equilibrium, Dane raised the Scepter. Above him, clouds began to swirl around him, and countless lightning snakes moved within the clouds.
The final step in reviving the Tree of Life, the spark of a god, was Zeus's lightning.
As mentioned earlier, in the DCEU Worldview, Zeus created humanity, so Zeus's divine power is the power of creation, a power imbued with vitality.
This also represented the duality of Zeus's divine power: one for creation, one for destruction.
Dane slammed the Scepter to the ground. The moment the Scepter landed, the lightning snakes in the clouds also fell, striking the Scepter's crystal stone.
The destructive nature of the lightning was absorbed by the crystal at the top of the Scepter, and the power of life was released to the ground by the staff below the crystal.
The staff of this Scepter was actually made from the trunk of the Tree of Life, sharing the same lineage.
Moments later, the clouds in the sky dispersed.
Starting from around the Scepter, flowers and grass began to grow rapidly. The power of vitality spread, and the withered Tree of Life began to regain its vigor.
Withered leaves turned green, branches stood upright again, and pink flowers bloomed anew on the Tree of Life.
Of course, it was unlikely for it to grow golden apples again.
Although golden apples were not as exaggerated as immortal peaches, their growing conditions were very strict.
At least for now, and for the next few years, it was unlikely for new golden apples to grow.
"It worked!" The Old Wizard was slightly excited.
"Yes, it worked."
Dane glanced at Calypso on the ground. Around the Tree of Life, her own divine power also began a slow recovery.
This change would gradually spread to the other goddesses, especially Hespera, who, as a wielder of the power of nature, should feel it most deeply.
"So, you've decided to leave?" Dane asked the Old Wizard.
"That's right." The Old Wizard nodded. "This is no longer the World where I should linger, and you've done very well."
This meeting, like the first, was brief and hurried. Dane could only offer him his blessings.
"Oh, right." Dane suddenly remembered something. "Back then, you seemed to be convinced that I was Shazam's heir. Why?"
The Old Wizard merely smiled at his words: "It's all destiny's arrangement, Dane."
"From the moment you were born, the Shazam Force had already decided its destination. It wasn't me who chose you, but they who chose you."
