Chapter 4 The flower language of genius, the abyssal plane!
"Okay, you take a rest first, it's too hot in here, uncle, I'm going to go outside to get some fresh air."
Dong Zian suppressed the surging emotions in his heart, and at the same time became more determined about the idea in his mind.
"Uncle, how should I call you?"
Jiang Xiu asked softly just as Dong Zian was about to leave.
"Uncle's name is Dong Zian, you can just call me Uncle Dong."
Dong Zian stopped, left a word, opened the soul guide door, and strode out.
"Dong Zian? Fierce Wolf Douluo!"
Jiang Xiu's purple eyes moved when he heard the words, and he whispered in his heart, and the memory of Dong Zian immediately emerged.
Dong Zian, the commander of the Western Legion, a god-level mecha master, his status in the military is second only to the Divine Pen Douluo Yu Guanzhi, and the sweeping monk Chen Xinjie of Shrek Academy, one of the representatives of the federal hawks.
But what impressed Jiang Xiu most wasn't these things, but Dong Zi'an himself. Dong Zi'an wasn't the son of a prominent family, but rather a commoner, his spirit a mere Green-Faced Wolf.
Yet, relying on his ruthlessness, Dong Zi'an fought his way through the ranks, rising from the bottom of the military camp to become a Limit Douluo and the leader of a legion.
The words a certain master once said to comfort him, "There are no useless spirits, only useless spirit masters," seemed to be borne out by Dong Zi'an.
Most importantly, even after reaching this position and possessing such immense power, Dong Zi'an was willing to share life and death with the soldiers of the Western Legion, leading the charge in the final battle against the Abyssal Plane.
"What a formidable general!"
Jiang Xiu sighed, a touch of admiration building within him. Unfortunately, Dong Zi'an was ultimately betrayed by a spy from the Spirit Transferring Tower, leaving an indelible stain on his life.
"So, General Dong, what will you choose?"
Jiang Xiu's lips curled slightly as he gazed out the window at the howling cold wind.
Outside the Soul Guidance Emergency Center.
"Commander, we've investigated thoroughly. Jiang Xiu's parents were both members of the Blood God Legion and died in battle four years ago. His mother, Xu Ruoxi, possesses the Silver Moon spirit..."
Seeing Dong Zi'an approach, Li Jie hurried forward and reported his findings.
"Alright, I know all of this,"
Dong Zi'an interrupted with a wave of his hand. "Send someone to Snow City and retrieve those two medals. The sooner the better."
"Yes, command!"
Li Jie nodded and immediately sent a message to the soldiers in Snow City. After completing his task, Li Jie, observing his commander's pensive expression, couldn't help but ask.
"Commander, Jiang Xiu is highly talented. Would you like to take him on as your apprentice?"
Li Jie knew full well that his commander, unmarried, had spent his entire life in the military, cultivating and promoting talented individuals besides slaying creatures of the Abyss.
Furthermore, Jiang Xiu's parents were both members of the Blood God Legion and had a clean background.
"You kid, you're worthy of being promoted by me. You're truly a thorn in my side. I'm willing to teach him, but I'm afraid I can't teach him well enough."
Dong Zi'an cursed with a laugh, then gazed into the distance with a faint sigh.
"You're joking! There are people you can't teach."
Li Jie assumed his commander was joking.
"Jiang Xiu not only possesses the Purple Brilliant Heavenly Dragon Soul, he also possesses twin souls, and twin ultimate souls at that."
"You're kidding!"
Li Jie said in disbelief, but looking at Dong Zi'an's calm expression, he knew his commander wasn't joking.
Immediately, the air grew still, even the chill wind died down slightly.
Seeing his commander's rare hesitation, Li Jie gritted his teeth and spoke.
"Commander, do you know the flower language of genius?"
"What?"
Dong Zi'an raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"You'll miss out if you're slow!"
Li Jie said heartfeltly. "Think about it, this is the offspring of our brother legion. In other words, it's our legion's offspring. Jiang Xiu is so talented. You say you might not be able to teach him, so how many people in the world are better than you?"
"Are you really willing to hand him over to an unknown so-and-so?"
Seeing his commander's eyes grow firmer, Li Jie cleared his throat, ready to add one last fuel to the fire.
"What if his future teacher is as unreliable as that old Sea God Pavilion elder who loved chicken legs ten thousand years ago? What if..."
"Stop! Why didn't you tell me that Jiang Xiu was seduced into the Holy Spirit Cult by an evil spirit master right after he left the house? Okay, stop bothering me. I've already made up my mind."
Dong Zi'an interrupted Li Jie as he continued to talk more and more outrageously, but he had already made up his mind.
"Are you going to take Jiang Xiu as your disciple?"
Li Jie said with a smile of triumph.
"Yes, but it can't be just me. Professional matters should be left to professionals."
Dong Zi'an nodded slightly, a glint of uncertainty in his eyes, and spoke in a gloomy tone.
He then took out his communication spirit guide, swiped his finger, and finally landed on a number marked "cook," and dialed it.
"Hello? Who is this? I'm cooking. Don't bother me if you have nothing to do... Watch me take a spoonful of sauce."
A voice came from the communication spirit guide, full of energy, and the faint sound of a spatula stirring.
"Old Mu, I've discovered a genius with a supreme-level spirit. Since you're busy, I'll look for someone else. Bye..."
Dong Zi'an sighed, then, as if anticipating it, he moved the communication device away from his ear.
"What! Hold on!"
The next moment, a roar echoed from the communication device.
"What's wrong? Aren't you busy?"
Dong Zi'an said with a smile, as if knowing everything.
"Oh, Old Dong! I thought it was you. You said you discovered a genius with a supreme-level spirit. Where is he? I'll fly over right now."
The voice echoed again, clearly impatient.
"Aren't you cooking? There's no rush. It's a shame, this kid has twin supreme-level spirits. But it doesn't matter. I can find someone else,"
Dong Zi'an said casually, with a touch of regret.
"How am I supposed to cook? Don't you know my clan is dwindling in talent and on the verge of extinction? Are you kidding me? Don't forget that your god-level mecha is also my contribution.
Tell me your address now, or I'll chop you up with a kitchen knife! I'm also quite good at dealing with people."
Dong Zi'an seemed to be able to see the man's exasperation through his soul guide. Knowing the time had come, he spoke slowly.
"Xuecheng, come quickly. No time to waste."
"Wait for me, I'll be there soon... Oh no! It's messed up!"
"Beep, beep..."
With a cry of alarm, the communication stopped.
"It seems you're truly concerned about Jiang Xiu, but his Purple Brilliant Heaven-Slaying Dragon Martial Spirit..."
Li Jie chuckled at this, but as if something else occurred to him, a hint of worry crossed his eyes.
"Hmph, that incident happened ten thousand years ago. It's time to move on. Anyone who doesn't want to move on will be helped to do so."
Dong Zi'an's eyes flashed with ferocity, and an invisible murderous aura permeated.
Inside the Soul Guide Emergency Center.
"Is my shadow really gone?"
Jiang Xiu looked down at himself, summoning the Shadow King once again and examining him carefully.
Suddenly, Jiang Xiu felt something pull him in, something within the Shadow King's spirit, a kind of spiritual blessing.
After a moment's deliberation, Jiang Xiu slowly let his consciousness sink into the Shadow King's spirit. Suddenly, his vision darkened, as if his soul had left his body.
"Shhh!"
A faint sound echoed, and Jiang Xiu felt as if countless ants were moving around his ears. His eyes slowly opened.
But the next moment, Jiang Xiu was stunned. Countless ants were truly moving around him.
These ants were dark purple, the size of puppies, with golden patterns running down their bodies, exuding a devouring aura.
Jiang Xiu looked around, seeing nothing but dense swarms of these ants. The sky was empty, devoid of sun, moon, or clouds, and beneath his feet lay the black earth. The air was thick with the smell of gunpowder.
"No, where did this come from? Is this still Douluo Continent?!"
