The airport buzzed with the low hum of announcements, rolling suitcases, and the faint scent of roasted coffee that drifted from the nearby café. Hye-rin clutched her passport a little too tightly, her knuckles pale against the navy cover.
Beside her, Joon-hyuk adjusted the strap of his carry-on bag and gave her a sideways look, one brow slightly raised.
"You're squeezing that passport like it owes you money," he said dryly.
She blinked and quickly loosened her grip. "I'm not nervous."
"Of course not," he said, his tone laced with amusement. "You've only been staring at the boarding gate like it's about to swallow you whole."
Hye-rin shot him a small glare, tugging her coat closer around her. "I've never been to London before. It's… just a long flight."
"Eight hours," he said, matter-of-factly. "You'll survive."
She looked at him, narrowing her eyes. "You make it sound easy."
