It was Athena's wedding day, a great day for the people of Elorian as it was the day their princess will be getting married. Different royalties from different kingdoms as well as commoners will be attending the wedding. The servants busy with the decorations for the wedding, the Gardner making sure the castle compound looked good, the kitchen maids trying to finsh the dishes that will be served as well as the cake.
In Athena's room:
Three maids were already at Athena's door to get her ready for her big day.
"Milady we're here to get you ready" one of them said Athena who was already awake didn't bother to answer them
"Milady" another one said while gently knocking the door with no response again. Before one of the maids could say anything Athena shouted "GO AWAYY!!!" She said in an angered tone scaring the maids. Another one gathered courage to speak "M-milady we were sent by the queen to....." "Go away and tell mother I'm not dressing for any stupid wedding " with the that the maids left.
Athena was lost in thoughts. She was going to get married which is supposed to be a thing of joy but in her case it brings sadness to her because she doesn't know who she is getting married to, neither has she seen him she was scared. She felt betreyed by her father who is giving her out to marry a complete stranger who had only sent gifts but had not visited her for once. The only thing she knew was her husband to be was that he prince form a foreign land she hadn't heard of. She was also told she has to marry him in order to save her kingdom for some reason. She then stood up opening the curtains making in sunlight appear on her features.
She looked out the window enjoying the view as it would be her last time after today. Her room had the best view of the castle and ever since she was little she had loved looking outside in the morning. Everywhere looked so calm this mad her a little bit happy after too much thought on how her life will be. Her mother steped in disrupting her thoughts. What Athena didn't know was her mother knew she wasn't happy to be getting married to a stranger but there was nothing both of them could do but accept it. "Darling I know you do not want to get married today" her mother spoke trying to comfort her "oh mother you know me too well" Athena said in a sad tone. Her mother's heart ached to see her only daughter to be put in a situation that was impossible to get out of. " I am so sorry this is happening to you my darling Athena but you have to scale through because you are the only the way to save our kingdom from going down"
"I know mother but...-" tears dropping from Athena's face " but I am scared " "it's alright to be scared not knowing what will happen next but trust me everything will be okay." her mother said wiping her tears. Athena had been telling herself it's not going to happen that she was too young today mad her to know it was really happening. "It's alright my darling. Shall I get the maids to come in? Or you will be late for your own wedding" her mother said with a smile. Athena replied with a nod while wiping her tears.
Few minutes later the maids came in and Athena went to take her bath with the help of the maids. Her mother smiled before leaving Athena. She went to check on the wedding preparation to make sure everything is in the right place. While rechecking the guest list to make sure no mistake, she spotted Athena's
father "Roland" she called out. He came closer and asked " where is she the wedding starts in two hours and she's not here" he said in a slightly angered tone "you have no right to ask if it were not for me she would have stayed in her room without agreeing to come out" "you are her mother. Is that not what you are supposed to to?" He said coldly " You do not have to show affection to me but she is our DAUGHTER Roland. The reason our kingdom will nor go down. The least you can do is to sweet talk her " she said in a disappointing tone "you know what you have already won our young beautiful daughter will be marrying a stranger for your kingdom and God knows when of if we will ever see her again." She said angrily leaving Roland.
Back in Athena's room:
Athena had finished taking her bath, one of the maids was styling her weavy long thick blonde hair. Athena wanted something simple so she told the maid to style it in a mid ponytail tiring the end to a bun. This hairstyle made Athena's features more pronounced. She had the features of her father and the color of her mother's blonde hair. The maid went further to do Athena's make-up. She painted Athena's lips dark red adding light blush on her cheeks. They were done with that. The next thing was the gown. Yvonne her personal maid helped her get into her gown . Athena was wearing a lilac wedding gown designed with light pink and white flowers embroidery on it. It was an off-shoulder gown which showed her collar bone and a little of her cleavage. She wore the necklace her to be got for her with the matching earrings that came with it and also her heels that were made completely out of glass. "wow!! Milady you look so beautiful" one of the other maids said. Athena replied with a smileshe turned to Yvonne giving her a questioning look "you look gorgeous my princess. You are the most beautiful bride I have ever seen" this made Athena laugh as the other maids nodded in agreement to what Yvonne said with all oth them smiling. They heard a door knock and the opening. It was her father the king. The maids bowed and left leaving the bride and her father in the room. "You look beautiful princess" her father commented " thank you father" she said forcing a smile on her lips " I came to tell you your guests are already arriving and thought you would like to see some of them before the wedding starts" " ok father I will soon come out" Athena's father wanted to comfort his daughter but he didn't know how so he said what he said as an excuse to come and see her. With that he left the room Yvonne came back in to hand Athena her bouquet.
In the ball room:
The guest had started arriving the room was filled with lords, dutches, kings, queens and people from the kingdom. Athena's mother was greeting ad welcoming people. It was almost time for the wedding to start and the bride wasn't out yet.
Meanwhile Athena was already out of her room heading to the ball room her eyes met with the eyes of a tall handsome man. She then asked herself 'is this my husband?'
