FLASHBACK
Caelen lay beside Eiran gently patting him as Eiran drifted off to sleep, his face turned toward Caelen.
He looked terrible when he ran out. Would he be alright? But again, he witnessed the accident up close. The incident flashed in his head, and he closed his eyes and grabbed Eiran's little hand in his palm.
Why am I thinking about him? Caelen gently placed Eiran's hand on the bed and turned over because Eiran reminded him of Soren. He let out a deep breath. Maybe I should have asked him why.
"Ahmgh," he groaned as he turned to face Eiran trying to shake off his thoughts. He gently touched Eiran's face, and Soren's face decorated with sweat taking over his body flashed in his head. His eyes rounded as his face flushed. He quickly sat up and shook his head.
