Catherine's POV
The wedding dress store was beyond my expectations, the news of the disaster during my wedding had travelled like a wildfire and I am only noticing now.
People were stealing glances at me and murmuring among themselves while Dane and Anna had their hands linked like two lovebirds.
"Cathy, I need your help with the dress" Anna said as she was asked to change in an inner room.
"Miss, we are here to help you" Few of the sales representatives came forward but she waved them off.
"No, I want her," She said with a fake smile at them.
"What do you want?" I asked as soon as we were alone.
I knew she had a reason for refusing their help.
"Nothing, I just don't want you to be alone with Dane. You are desperate right now, who knows what you might do?" She asked with a smirk and slipped into the wedding dress.
Her words cut through me like a sharp knife.
"I'm not as desperate as you are, you seduced him but I don't need to do the same". I replied with a smile back at her even if I itch to pull her hair out of her skull.
That will only complicate things and I don't want anymore attention.
"You think so?" She said with a maniac smile before suddenly ripping the arms out of the dress while screaming loudly.
"What are you doing?!" I asked appalled but the door fling open and Dane stood there looking between us.
His eyes turned hard with fury when he saw the torn dress on Anna.
"Dane.." She let out a dramatic sob and pretended to double over in pain.
Dane rushed over to catch and his eyes turned to look at me in question.
"How can you be this heartless towards your sister?" He asked in accusations.
"Turn your anger at me and not her!" He snapped.
A look of triumph was boldly displayed on Anna's face, I know she was rejoicing silently.
What a perfect match of trash.
Wordlessly, I step out of the room. My anger had reached a breaking point.
It's one thing to end our relationship on the day that is meant to be the happiest one in our lives and it's another thing to watch him show the same affection towards my sister.
But he had made it clear all his feelings towards me were because of pity, I was the delusional one.

The wedding arrived faster than I could can adjust, Anna was beaming as she got ready for the ceremony.
Just a week ago, I was this excited. But it was all over within a minute.
The guests arrived before the couple arrived, the ceremony started and I was wishing deep down inside that the cycle would repeat itself.
That he would leave her standing there and run away just like he did to me but all that wishful thinking were just bitter thoughts at the back of my mind.
As if they were the only ones in the world, they said their vows and exchange rings.
The sight of them made my dry eyes get filled with water again.
My heart no longer breaks at the pain but it's too difficult to keep looking at them.
While guests clapped and they shared their kiss, I stood up.
Walking out and never looking back.
There is no reason to, I cannot take it anymore.
I kept walking down the street, after I got out of the building.
The busy street blurred around me, I could not focus and just kept walking.
All the dedication and time I have wasted is now flashing before me.
I had wished this was a nightmare and that I would wake up soon, but that isn't happening.
A loud horn blared suddenly making me cringe and cover my ears but that was all I could register before something collided with my body and I was sent flying through the air before hitting the ground.
Maybe now I will wake up or sleep forever.

The pain coursing through my body was too much and I felt stiff all over.
I could not move and the sound of a heart monitor beside me bothered me.
I groaned softly and a face popped into my view almost immediately.
"Woah, boss. She is awake" the person said while still peering at me.
"Call the doctor" Another person ordered from a spot I cannot see.
"Where am I?" I said, but only a groan escaped through my mouth.
The doctor came in and all he was saying sounded like gibberish but the same person was still discussing with the doctor.
"I'm sorry for putting you in such a pain, my driver wasn't paying total attention to the road" he said suddenly after the doctor left.
My heart warms and tears gather in my eyes, a stranger was apologizing when my own close family can't even say nice words after hurting me.
"It's alright, I'm fine" I replied, shaking my head.
"No, you are not fine" he said, chuckling slightly and I suddenly wanted to see who he was.
As if hearing my thoughts, he suddenly bent over to look at me.
For a second, I forgot to breathe.
"Hi, Miss McLane. I'm Gerald Dalkeith" He introduced with a slight smile before disappearing out of my sight again.
Huh?
Gerald Dalkeith?, I have never heard that before.
"I will return to discuss how to compensate you after you have recovered" he said and that was the last thing I heard from him for the next two weeks.
