Unhallowed

A century after the Demon War, the Church rules with iron faith and divine propaganda, claiming to protect humanity from the Rifts—tears in reality that spill forth demonic horrors. Women are told they are sacred but powerless, men are the "chosen vessels," and the Baseline System, supposedly a gift from the Light, keeps the masses obedient and blind. Selene "Sel" Corvain has lived her whole life beneath this oppressive hierarchy, scraping by with her weak Baseline stats and no hope of recognition—until a rift opens in her district, and a forbidden power calls to her.
