A few hours had passed ever since Stygian had found the Radiance currently living in Heaven with Emily. How she got up here, Stygian hadn't the faintest clue.
But I do.
The Radiance, ever the trickster, convinced poor old Peter that she was an angel, and Peter, being quite gullible, obviously believed her little lie and allowed her entrance into my kingdom.
Once she was inside, the Radiance found the city quite charming, but not as exciting as Hell.
The most interesting part, however, was Emily. She felt a faint connection with the girl, and when she finally found the young seraphim, she immediately fell in love with her.
Not in any romantic sense, but the parental kind. The Radiance had never once had a child, and the closest thing she had to one was her moths, who had betrayed her for the Pale King.
She never really knew how to care for another individual, but with Emily, she was going to try her hardest.
When they first met, the Radiance naturally and bluntly stated that she wanted Emily to become her kin, and almost like reflex, Emily agreed to her request.
Ever since then, the Radiance had lived with and taught Emily everything she knew, and even helped her spread the news that Stygian and she would get married during the end of the year.
But enough of that. Let us return to the present.
The two monarchs were currently sitting across from each other. Stygian was staring daggers toward the Radiance, and the Radiance… well, she was too busy doing Emily's hair to even register his presence.
Having had enough of her, Stygian stood up and spoke.
"What the hell are you doing here?! And why the hell are you with Emily?" Stygian exclaimed.
This startled Emily a bit before the Radiance quickly patted her head to reassure her.
Getting up, the Radiance simply walked out the door and motioned for Stygian to follow her.
Stygian, still glaring at her, followed right behind, leaving Emily alone on the floor, quite confused.
Once they were outside, the two angels guarding the door immediately saw the Radiance and Stygian walking toward them.
They both quickly bowed before letting them pass.
Once they had passed the two guards, the Radiance began walking toward a set of stairs and started climbing them.
Stygian, a bit confused as to why she was leading him to the roof, simply followed right behind her.
After a few minutes, finally on top of the building, the Radiance turned to Stygian and spoke.
"So you're probably wondering why I'm here," she said with a smug smile.
"Of course I am, but more importantly, what the hell have you been telling Emily?" Stygian asked.
"Well, to put it simply, I got curious. I mean, a glowing sphere in the sky… and I also wanted to personally visit Heaven," the Radiance explained.
"That's nice and all, but I still don't know why you're doing any of this. Why would you tell and help Emily marry me? Do you really hate me that much?" Stygian asked.
"Well, there's that. But I don't really hate you that much anymore. The main reason I'm doing this is for Emily. I want to see her happy—not just for others, but for herself—even if that means she has to marry your ugly ass," she said, smiling.
"Sigh. Alright. But for now, you need to stop spreading around Heaven that I'm marrying Emily. Even if Bee's okay with this, I'm not… so just help me tell her we won't get married."
"Haaa… fine. But I'm going to tell you, you're making a terrible mistake. I mean, who knows when someone's going to marry into Heaven and bring peace throughout the realms?" the Radiance said.
"I don't need a marriage to bring peace. I just need time, and I can convince them that killing sinners will no longer be needed,"
Stygian said before walking toward the door leading to the stairs.
"And how are you going to do that?" the Radiance asked.
Stygian stopped before turning his head toward the Radiance with a smug smile.
"Don't worry about that… I think a secretary of mine will be taking care of that problem soon," Stygian said before walking back to the stairs.
"Who?" the Radiance asked, genuinely confused, before following him.
Once Stygian was back inside Emily's room, he began looking around the place, and when he eventually found her sleeping on the couch, he slowly approached her and sat beside her.
This caused Emily to stir a bit in her sleep, but not quite enough to wake her. She simply moved onto Stygian's lap and continued to rest her head there.
Stygian, being a gentleman, didn't dare disturb her slumber. Instead, he began thinking of different ways to tell Emily that they weren't getting married without breaking her heart.
But as he came up with different ways he could tell her, the Radiance, peeping in from the doorway, took sneaky little pictures of Stygian sitting and allowing Emily to rest her head on his lap.
She wasn't going to use this for blackmail… at least not yet, anyway.
But as the scene, another pair were having fun.

(8 hours later)
High above the clouds stood a floating restaurant.
There sat the Archangel Adam and his date, Celestia.
They had been seeing each other for quite a while now and had only grown closer.
Their time together had drastically changed Adam for the better, even helping him become a slightly better person.
Thanks to Celestia's kindness, Adam had grown more emotionally open and was less adamant about telling others how he felt.
With this, he was less focused on revenge and spreading suffering to his sons' descendants.
Moving on from that, Adam and Celestia were having a rather quiet meal in Heaven's fanciest restaurant. Adam was having barbecue ribs, and Celestia was having a vegetarian meal.
As they both ate their dinner in relative peace, Celestia's eyes suddenly glowed bright yellow before she quickly stood up.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Adam asked, taking a bite of his rib.
"Lord Stygian has requested me. He said it was urgent," Celestia said as she grabbed a napkin and quickly wiped her face.
"I'm really sorry about this, Adam, but it is rather important," Celestia added apologetically.
"Hey! I ain't stopping you. Go do your boring-ass paperwork you love doing so much," Adam said, taking another bite.
"Paperwork's not boring, and once I'm finished, I'll be back in time for the theater. Do you still have the tickets?" Celestia asked.
"Of course I do," Adam said, summoning two golden tickets.
Celestia smiled, moved over, and gave Adam a small kiss on the cheek. Pulling away, she unfurled her wings and quickly flew out the top of the restaurant, heading back to Hell.
Adam watched Celestia fly away and smiled before continuing his meal, but as he ate, someone slammed their hands on the table.
Looking up, he saw Lute, looking a bit angry.
"What? Is it your time of the month?" Adam joked, chewing on another rib.
"Sir… we need to talk," Lute said.
