As I flew across the sky, I noticed the almost incomprehensible amount of angels flying ahead of me. They quickly took notice of me and turned toward me.
They floated in place before quickly flying toward me. They didn't try to attack; instead, they all collectively tried restraining me and locking me in place.
Unfortunately for them, I wasn't going down easily. Using the tentacles on my back, I grabbed them, and with the help of the Radiance, the ones I grabbed with my tentacles were all cured and fell toward the ground.
...
I really hope I didn't kill them with that fall.
As I continued the process of grabbing and curing the angels, I eventually reached the main force of angels, and in the front, Sera was leading them all.
She was wearing a full set of armor and was wielding a shining spear in her hand. They were about to reach the gate and attack all of Hell, but luckily, I was able to reach the top of the gates, and with one quick motion, I dive-bombed the gate, completely destroying it with a gigantic explosion.
Getting up, I turned toward Sera and her angel army, standing my ground to make sure no angel could get past me.
Sera, spear still in hand, walked toward me with a sadistic smile on her face.
"My lord, you should be resting. The cleansing of Hell will soon begin, and I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to your regal visage."
"Sera, enough of this. I am not God. I don't know what happened to your God, but killing all of Hell is a bit extreme," I said to Sera, trying to reason with the seraphim.
"Oh, my Lord, even now you protect your wayward son. You truly are the great lord of all of Heaven," she said, her smile turning more unhinged.
I couldn't reason with her. I needed to get close enough to cure her and everyone else, but there was a rather large problem.
The number of angels I needed to cure was far too many, and besides the Radiance, I was completely alone. But still, I needed to try and save them. I started this mess, and I was going to fix it.
"As much as I enjoy talking with you, my lord, I won't allow you to stop me. After all, those damned demons kidnapped you and forced you to live there in Hell. I will cleanse that pit if it's the last thing I do," she said, her smile disappearing as she donned a horned mask.
She flew to her army and ordered them to contain me as the angels in front all seemed to hold the same chains as before.
I got ready to hold my ground and stop them from getting past me and killing everyone back in Hell. Sure, it's actual Hell, but the time I've spent there, the newfound family and friends I've made—I wasn't going to lose it again.
I will never lose them again.
The angels began to swarm me, chains in hand. I didn't waste time and began swinging and grabbing at the angels who got close, knocking some out with a strong enough blow without killing them, curing some that were on the ground.
Though this didn't stop the rest from trying to hold me down using their bodies, each angel seemed to have lost all sense of self-preservation since they would dogpile me and even sometimes hurt themselves and other angels in the process of trying to capture me.
This didn't stop me, though. I used my tentacles to grab and cure them with my power before I quickly threw them away from the fighting.
This seemed to work for a time, but more and more angels were appearing, and they were even bigger than the last.
The larger ones would send off angelic light that would daze me for a moment, making sure the smaller angels could restrain me.
I was slowly getting outnumbered, and fast. I needed to find a way to end the fighting before I was trapped again.
Release the void.
The same voice spoke once more. I didn't know what it wanted since I already did what it asked. I was already a floating black blob of tentacles—what more could releasing the void do?
As I continued to hold off the angels, I felt the same energy flowing through me. It was the same energy as when my carapace exploded.
And just like what happened last time, I didn't fight it. I simply let it do its thing.
Then, almost immediately, the entire area began to turn dark, like the sun was being consumed by darkness. Looking down, I felt something move from underneath me, and the floor beneath me began to turn pitch black and almost liquid.
It felt almost like the water when I'm inside the void. Suddenly, arms began to rise and pull themselves out of the waters below. Their forms were all covered in darkness, and their eyes were pale and lifeless.
Looking more closely, I immediately recognized the shapes of the figures emerging—and they were the demons I've killed.
They rose from the waters below, and with a loud screech, they emerged. The angels, understandably, backed away and regrouped with the others.
The amount of demons, demon beasts, and dragons was quite a shock for them—including me. When did I have this power?
"Command?" a voice spoke from my mind, and without even giving it a second thought, I gave the command.
"Restrain them." The creatures looked toward the angels and, without missing a beat, began to charge at them.
The angels, not knowing what to do, began to attack the creatures with their spears and shoot them with light.
Spears did nothing to them, as each strike simply passed through them, not leaving any damage. The light, however, seemed to only slow them down, as each time they got damaged, they would quickly reform and continue charging at them.
The angels were panicking; their forces were being pushed back by an unknown power, and they didn't know what to do.
Though this didn't last long—the larger angels, including Sera, began creating barriers to hold them back, using those same shields to throw them back at the broken gate.
They were getting closer and closer, and there were still so many of them I needed to cure. At this rate, they'd capture me again, and Hell would be purged.
I had to think. How can I cure so many angels at once?
Think, think, think...
I may be of some assistance, child.
Suddenly, the voice of the White Lady spoke within my mind.
I may not have the same experience wielding those tentacles of yours, but if you could allow me to take over for a second, I could be of some assistance.
How?
Just let me.
I listened to her request, and within seconds, I felt my control over my body slip, and I was now watching.
The White Lady raised my arms and tentacles into the sky and began to do something.
This may drain you for a while.
For how long?
We'll see.
She began to gather energy through my body, and I felt it—the power was flowing through every inch of me, and I felt the strain quickly taking hold.
But without wasting more time, the tentacles exploded outward, and thousands upon thousands of tentacles began to pierce the angels.
Each one tried to fight back but simply failed due to the overwhelming number of tentacles approaching them.
Once they were all held, the Radiance did her thing and cured every single angel. The angels all fell to the ground and were knocked unconscious. Once it was finally over, the tentacles all slowly sank back inside me, and looking down at my hands, I felt a new carapace forming around me.
I felt relieved that it was over, but just as quickly, I fell to my knees and passed out as well.
