After that all the tutors the emperor assigned to me coming everyday to teach me. The etiquette tutor was impressed at me. Actually all of them are impressed.
I am proud (it is nothing to be proud tho), since I was taught to perfection when I am an assassin. Remembering about it, when I was five or six, they forced me to read a lot of books on all topics, curtesy of every nation and many more. It was painstakingly hard and started my military training at the age of eight, they force me to hold a sword, dagger, assembling a gun and every weapon I can think of if given to me.
Every mistake I commit is a night to the dark room with about 50 whips on my back to my feet. I experienced it the first time when I was six and got bed ridden for two days, and resuming my lessons again without making a full recovery. At the age of nine I committed my first kill, it was a survival of the fittest among 20 children in the room. Since they are testing our will to live and how far we are with our military training, they made us all fight each other. The rule is when you spared a life of someone then we will also die on the spot with the leash on our throats which activates a blade that cuts our life.
As a child and my willingness to survive, I killed them all. Those 19 children my age, and my friends that I treated my family was killed by my hands. It became a trauma but then the organization gave me even harsher punishment when they saw emotions in my face. That's why I considered no one important in my life.
I can clearly remember that day.
"In this room, there's no such thing as a younger or older sister and brother. Everyone here is refined to there best condition. Now show me what you learned for years, if you die then that means you're just incompetent" he said laughing.
"By the way every 3 minutes without blood splashed then this place will crushed you or pierced your bodies with a lot of holes. Good luck! May the best child wins in the den of lions" he announced.
We didn't take it seriously at first but then the stage really did slowly getting smaller and the ceiling has a lot of spikes in it. The older children were the ones who killed those younger ones since they knew they were weaker than them.
"Rhian! Stay behind me" I told her as I protected her when there are five people moving closer and closer to us.
"So you must be the demon they said, as seeing you have a golden star on your leash" they said and now that they mentioned it, I was the only one wearing a golden star.
"As sharp as ever. I train my children well… It is true that those with golden star ranks higher as they have refined their skills to perfection" that mad man announced again.
"With this we will see whether they are worthy in being the one who stands the organization" he said.
Since it is a close combat battle, our only weapon are swords, knives, axe, daggers or anything.
"Rhian, stay back for a while and protect yourself while I handle them" I told her and she understood.
I studied them as to dodge their every attack and do a fatal blow. I have a dagger with me and they have long swords which is a disadvantage. I got cuts on my arm and cheeks but every time they come close, I immediately drew my dagger on the critical parts, the lung and their heart.
"She really is bloodthirsty" the older man said as he caught me because of my long hair which drop my weapon.
Since I have quick reflexes, I only received a graze on my side and I endured it while I kicked his private part. I stole his sword and swing it to others.
It took longer as many people came to challenge me with a long sword and the dagger was placed back on my waist. It lasted longer and I am bleeding heavily until only Rhian and I remains.
"That's enough! I already killed 18 of them so far. I assured that those 18 people are cold as a corpse, then release us" I demanded.
"You must be thinking that we are running a good deed here child but I as I said, the strongest one will remain" he announced in the speakers then he started moving the stage again.
"What more do you ask of us! I cannot kill Rhian!" I shouted as I am slowly crumbling in the inside.
"You already killed 18 people and you are sparing 1 child?" he asked.
"I cannot do it! Rhian! Rhian is the only person left that is important to me" I shouted on the top of my lungs.
"That doesn't change anything. I don't care your relationship; you must also learn to throw those emotions away and even your closest person will betray you." He said while snickering.
"I don't know what you mean. But I cannot possi---- blergh!" I felt something pierced my stomach, a long sword and now I understand what he means. When I turned around, she was trembling and was scared.
"I---I'm .. I'm so---sorry" she said repeatedly.
Ahhh! She wants to live even though that means killing me.
"Rhian… It's okay" I said while I moves closer to her.
"I j---just w-wa-want to l-li-live Cianne" she said forcing herself to smile even though she was trembling.
"I know" I said while I gave her a hug.
"You're just the perfect shield to me Cianne" she said while fixing my hair.
"Blegh!! Ugh!" I continued spitting blood but now she is turning into a madwoman.
I don't want you to turn into a killing machine Rhian. I guess we should meet each other again in another life.
"Let's stay like this a bit longer Rhian" I said and slowly caressing her until she drops her guard down.
I took the dagger on my waist and struck her heart from the back.
"You're now free Rhian. I am sorry but let me handle the burden of killing others, you never wanted this in the first place Rhian. I will not let you live a life with a heavy burden on your shoulders and end up killing yourself in just a few missions. Rest in peace Rhian, my only friend" I said while her body drops and lost her last breath.
I hug her tightly why crying heavily until I fainted.
As I said, I was raised to be the perfect assassin, to be able to deceive other people. I killed most influential people in my previous life whether they are the president of the nation, actress, a baby or just anyone I am ordered to kill then I will do that flawlessly. I can even enter a thoroughly guarded place, or even tracking someone who was considered dead.
