What Iris told me had left me uneasy. I thought her mother had a problem with her because she believed Iris did not know what was best for herself, and also because Lycans had been in a rivalry with the werewolves for many years.
However, when Iris told me what her mother did to her the night before, it showed me that her mother was far more evil than I had imagined.
There was no way a mother would stoop so low to traumatize her daughter just to control her. It was safe to say that Lady Clarissa was not right in the head.
"That is why Iris has been so badly disturbed," My wolf snapped, showing how upset he was for her.
Honestly, Iris was a different kind of woman. I had known her since I was a kid. We grew up in the same environment. We basically grew up together.
We never really communicated, but we crossed paths from time to time. She was always confident and attentive to everything happening around her.
