Iris:
"And do not change the subject." He raised his finger to stop me from speaking, probably when he realized I was going to ask him about the river.
"Tell me, what does your mother want from you and my children?" he insisted, this time in a more commanding tone.
I kept watching his face and realized that maybe this was the moment I could ask him to give me the cure. So I did.
"I want to give Colin the cure, just in my presence," I uttered.
I watched the way he stepped away from me in confusion.
"This is the second time you are requesting to give my son the cure alone." He reminded me of the previous time as well.
His hand remained on his waist while with the other he pointed at me.
"And I'm beginning to wonder if you know more about this sickness than you are telling me altogether," he continued, the harshness on his face intensifying, probably because new thoughts started to emerge in his mind.
