Davina's POV
"Go away!" I screamed, my voice cutting through the darkness.
"Get in the car," Irvin said, his tone steady and unyielding.
"Take your car and leave, Irvin!" I snapped, fury blazing in my chest.
Irvin cocked an eyebrow, something like amusement flickering across his face. "Do you really want me to leave?"
I knew I had to go with him. I had no clue how to get back from here, and the night was getting darker.
Irvin Jenkin was ruthless enough to drive away and abandon me here if I kept being difficult.
Huffing in frustration, I climbed into the car, my scowl deepening as I shot him a venomous look. "How can you just sit there and let them speak to me like that?" I demanded, my voice shaking with fury.
Irvin gave a careless shrug. "Not my concern."
My eyes flashed with rage. "Bastard," I whispered.
But he caught it, his eyes sparkling with dark humor as he looked at me. "Finally, something we can agree on," he said with another shrug.
