Davina's POV
I climbed out of the taxi, adjusting my jumpsuit's hem for what felt like the hundredth time in five minutes.
Celeste and her boyfriend came into view, and the moment Celeste's eyes landed on me, she let out a sharp gasp.
"Davina, what the fuck?!"
The outburst made me wince, my insecurity spiking instantly.
"Is it that terrible?" I asked in a whisper, my cheeks burning with embarrassment.
"Terrible?" Celeste stared at me like I'd completely lost my sanity. "Are you serious? Davina, you're absolutely stunning! Like magazine-cover stunning!"
My face grew even hotter, though I quickly rolled my eyes to mask my reaction. "You're being ridiculous."
"I'm telling the truth," Celeste fired back. "I had no idea you were hiding that incredible figure under those baggy sweaters and dull office clothes."
I let out a groan, giving my friend a light push toward the vehicle. "Come on, let's go."
