Chapter 2 - Love You for a Lifetime

Chapter 5: Who Set the Fire?

Lena Yu arrived at her chaotic company. The painting studio had mysteriously burned down. Despite the staff's fear, Lena calmly took charge, determining it was arson and requesting a list of everyone who had contacted the paintings in the last month. Although her brother Marcus insisted she go home to recover from her illness, she refused to abandon her work.

Back home, Lena suspected her resentful younger sister, Lydia Yu, was behind the fire. Her friend Miles confirmed this, delivering both the investigation results and the painting she had originally sought from Mason Gu. A confrontation with Lydia was tense and inconclusive, ending with Lydia violently attacking Lena and cutting her arm before Lena fled the house.

Chapter 6: Learning the Truth

Lena sought refuge with her doting grandfather. He mistakenly believed she was still heartbroken over Mason and, without her knowledge, arranged a marriage between them, convinced it would make her happy. Lena, exhausted and emotionally vulnerable, reluctantly agreed to the union despite having never properly met the man.

Chapter 7: Meeting Ethan

Lena traveled to the Netherlands for an international art competition. On the plane, she was thrilled to meet her artistic idol, the renowned painter Ethan Kong, and discovered they were staying at the same hotel. Ethan was charmed by her passion for art and her innocent demeanor.

Chapter 8: An Arranged Marriage Proceeds

Following her grandfather's arrangements, Lena met a man named Mason Gu at the civil registry to get married. The interaction was brief and impersonal. After a month of no contact from her new husband, Mason unexpectedly added her on WeChat, stating it was for convenience, in a cold and businesslike manner.

Chapter 9: A Reunion in Holland

At the art competition, Lena was delighted to see Ethan Kong as one of the judges. Her surprise turned to shock when the final judge was announced: her husband, Mason Gu, who was revealed to be a powerful sponsor of the event and was in a wheelchair. The chapter ends as Lena's own painting, "Cool Eyes," is presented for judgment, capturing the attention of both Ethan and Mason.
