ASSASSINATION
The sunset was breathtaking, painting the sky in hues of gold and crimson.
"I'm glad I got to do this with you," she said softly. "Aren't you going to say anything?"
A faint, mocking smile tugged at her lips.
"Oh… right. Dead bodies don't talk."
Without hesitation, she smashed the window with a hammer and leapt from the second floor. This wasn't her first escape, but as she sailed through the air, a strange tingling washed over her. She landed hard, her ankle twisting painfully, but she swallowed the scream. Rolling into the thick lawn bushes, she bit her lip—tears slipping from her eyes despite herself.
Shin was an assassin, and tonight's target was the multi-millionaire Ken.
Fifteen Minutes Earlier
After a lavish house party, Shin played to Ken's greatest weakness—his lust. She lured him to his bedroom, the predator inviting her prey into the lion's den.
"I always knew a man like you would know how to treat a woman," she purred, sliding off her shimmering silver gown, the slit revealing just enough to stoke his desire.
Ken stepped forward, hunger in his eyes. She bit her lip, fell back onto the crisp white sheets, and he climbed over her—unaware that he was already trapped.
The blade had been hidden in her mouth the whole time. In one stroke, she slit his throat. She dragged the blade from his lips down to his waistline.
The bed that had been as white as the morning sun was now as red as the blood moon.
After the Kill
Clothes and weapons washed clean, she escaped with her usual trophies—shinies taken from her victims.
"A diamond necklace, gold bracelet… and what's this?" She pulled out a dusty, ancient-looking book. "A spell book? Magic potion recipes?" she joked.
She didn't know it yet, but the grimoire in her hands held power beyond imagining—power to reincarnate souls into a world of magic, monsters, and secrets unknown to man.
While lying on the bed with pyjamas on, she starts to read the book
Grimoir's first page –
The Sun Ring is a ring that helps the user to cast any spell with zero damage while casting the spell. There is only one spell that can't be cast with this spell, which is .... (The burned page)
The pendant of the moon can give anyone the unimaginable strength of lord Bajrangbali and the intelligence of the greatest saint, Lord Buddha.
The Beginning
The next morning, the grimoire sat casually on her bedside drawer, just another decoration. She stretched, sunlight spilling across her face, then she walked to the living room. The TV broadcasting breaking news—Ken's death.
"It was an easy kill," she laughed.
The doorbell rang.
"Who's there?"
She crossed the wooden floor, opened the door—and it was Ryu with a bouquet of daffodils, an old friend from assassin training.
Over strawberry milkshakes, Ryu cut straight to the point. "While killing the Ken. You found a grimoire, didn't you?"
She raised an eyebrow. "You know about it?"
He smirked. "People say it's got strange powers. I know it's worth a fortune."
She says, 'I read something similar while I was reading it, it says about some pendant'
Ryu asks her to bring it, and she says 'I think it is looking good as a decor piece in my room.
Ryu, you are using it as a decor piece. It is worth over a million dollars.
Shin – 'so what a decor piece is a decor piece, figure doesn't matter.'
That night, they headed to Shikikai, the black-market hub for stolen treasures. Ryu had lined up a buyer—Tanaka, an underground Mafia, willing to pay $90,000.
However, the deal didn't go as they had expected.
The moment Tanaka had the grimoire, he snapped his fingers—four men in white coats burst in, guns raised.
"I told you it looked better in my room!" Shin snarled at Ryu.
In a blur, she jumped over him, blades flashing to Tanaka's throat. She seized the grimoire, but in the struggle, a page tore—and a ring and pendant tumbled out.
Instinctively, she took the pendant, tossing the ring to Ryu. He slid it onto his finger without thinking.
'What, you thought you could kill us that easily? I gave you one last chance, so either provide the amount, or I will beat the shit out of you.
Tanaka sneered. "That's why they call you 'The beauty' in the underworld ?—deadly and flawless."
But before she could land beside Ryu, that tingling started to flow over her body again. She fell on the ground. Tanaka took the chance and pulled both of them into sight and commanded each and every person there to shoot them in 5 seconds
Her eyes locked with Ryu's. "Hold my hand." 5…..4…..3
As Tanaka's finger tightened on the trigger 2…, time seemed to stretch. .1!
The gun roared. The bullets tore through their skulls—
—But before their bodies hit the floor, a blinding light swallowed them whole. When it faded, only the grimoire and a few scattered tears remained.
