Devil's owner was Michael, currently at the Radiant Lord realm. All things considered, there was a high possibility that, if not relying on his stealth capabilities, Devil was merely on the same level.

Devil's high rank allowed him to draw upon Michael's spirit with perfect efficiency, and though the chances were slim, there remained a real possibility that he could at least stall, if not outright defeat, an Absolute Lord on his own.
