"Ouch!" Scott clutched his head, not sure if he was agreeing with Peter or just groaning in pain.
Peter was speechless.
He turned his head and saw the ant, trapped in a transparent plastic box, tapping its forelegs rhythmically against the wall of the box.
Peter picked up the plastic box and looked at Scott: "I think Dr. Pym might want to see me. Can I let it go?"
Scott waved his hand: "Just don't meet them here. I'll be done with my sentence in a few months, and I don't want any accidents. Those guys said if I meet Hank and the others privately, I'll face more than twenty years in prison!"
Peter threw him a bait: "What if you joined the Avengers?"
Scott was slightly stunned, stopped his clowning around, and looked at Peter intently: "You mean..."
Peter didn't answer immediately. Instead, he turned his head, opened the lid of the transparent plastic box in his hand, and took out the surveillance ant, placing it on the ground.
The surveillance ant immediately crawled along the ground to the corner, disappearing into a crack.
Peter turned to Scott and smiled, "Looks like your house has been pretty thoroughly infiltrated."
Scott's face darkened again, and he said helplessly, "I did let them build a lot of nests in my house before, but unfortunately, my suit was taken away."
"Scott, you were just an accomplice, and you have a good attitude about admitting your guilt. They said two years, but it's really just a formality. If you join the Avengers and become an officially registered Avenger, then the remaining few months can be..." Peter patted his shoulder and quietly gave him an idea.
"Really!" Scott's eyes lit up.
He didn't doubt Peter's words.
Anyone who has paid even a little attention to the news knows that Spider-Man is a rising star in the Avengers. He has been very active in the past year, and he must have a certain say in the Avengers.
And although the Avengers is a private team-type organization, it naturally has a certain official nature since the signing of the Sokovia Accords.
Whenever the Avengers are mentioned, they're always linked with various super events.
It's almost as if they're synonymous with resolving such events.
Therefore, if he could obtain the identity of an Avengers member, everything would naturally fall into place.
However, Peter's wishful thinking was shattered by the appearance of two people shortly after.
One of them was an old man with white hair and a white goatee. He looked refined and had the air of a scientific researcher.
The other was a woman who appeared to be in her thirties. From her actions, Peter could tell she was "capable."
It was Dr. Hank Pym and his daughter, Hope van Dyne.
Scott saw the two of them appear here, feeling both ashamed and anxious.
He was ashamed because, due to his actions before, Dr. Pym and Hope had both violated the Sokovia Accords and were then wanted.
And the reason for his worry was that if their presence here was discovered, then, firstly, they might be caught, and secondly, he could face a prison sentence of over twenty years!
"You shouldn't be here! Shrink down and get out of here!" Scott said in a low, anxious voice.
Hope glanced at him and shook something in her hand: "Don't worry, the little eyes monitoring you below are busy as hell right now. We have at least half an hour."
It was a remote control.
Peter didn't understand, but Scott did.
This was a remote control device that could control the ants' actions remotely. They must have used the ants to do something to the car below that was constantly monitoring Scott, keeping it occupied for the time being.
At this moment, downstairs from Scott's house, the old black man, who had just finished a game of chess and was about to get up and stretch, suddenly smelled gasoline as soon as he got out of the car.
He quickly lay down and looked, and found that his car was leaking oil, drop by drop.
"Damn it!" the old black man cursed, took out his phone, and reported the situation to headquarters. Then he contacted a tow truck to help tow the car away.
At the same time, the handheld infrared scanner he had placed in the car to monitor Scott's house was also quietly dragged under the seat by a group of ants.
"Stark's brat, you want to peep at the Pym Particle?" Dr. Pym said with an unfriendly tone.
Peter didn't pay attention to the ambiguity in his words and said, "I am indeed interested in the Pym Particle, but not in it itself, but in what it represents."
"I didn't come here to listen to you say these things!" Dr. Hank Pym interrupted Peter rudely, "I swore I would never let anyone from the Stark family get my research results, never!"
"Alright, alright, since there's nothing to talk about, why did you come to find me?" Peter said helplessly, "As Ant-Man, shouldn't you be at home making babies? Also, for the record, I don't have the last name Stark."
"You're not here representing Stark?" Dr. Hank Pym asked.
"I'm here representing myself!" Peter emphasized before standing up, "Since Dr. Hank Pym doesn't want to talk, then I guess I'll have to find the secrets of the Quantum Realm myself. What a pity, what a pity."
With that, Peter walked towards the door.
"What do you find a pity?" When Peter was already at the stairwell preparing to go downstairs, Dr. Hank Pym finally spoke.
He still couldn't resist his curiosity.
The Quantum Realm, even in this era, remained incredibly mysterious.
Even for him, who had spent years researching quantum physics, he had never truly ventured into it.
Over the years, he had steadfastly believed that his wife, Janet, was not dead, but trapped within the Quantum Realm. Therefore, he had been constantly trying to rescue Janet.
However, despite his efforts over the years, he had never truly managed to touch its existence.
Until Scott appeared.
Scott accidentally shrunk himself to subatomic levels, entering what seemed to be the Quantum Realm, and even saw an image of Janet!
This confirmed his long-held belief.
However, even so, after more than a year, Dr. Pym still hadn't found a way to safely enter the Quantum Realm and take a look.
Scott's entry back then was completely accidental; he didn't even remember how he got out.
And Peter was the second person he'd encountered who actively pursued the secrets of the Quantum Realm.
This was also the reason why he was willing to set aside his prejudice against Stark and meet with Peter.
