Chapter 136 - Chapter 138: Giant of the East Guu!

Sakeer suppressed the surge of excitement in his chest, his gaze settling on the lowest-tier class skill—the one he cared about the most.

The "Dark Wave" ability granted by the Cursed Knight alone had already boosted his instantaneous combat potential beyond his level.

Now, with the Cursed Knight reaching its maximum level at Lv.5, his curse attacks had acquired a terrifying new effect—

"Instant Death Curse."

Yet, his new Valkyrie class also came with its own formidable abilities.

At just Lv.1, he had already unlocked one of them.

Skill: Pure Slinger

🔹 Uses per day: 3

🔹 Effect: Summon a war spear imbued with divine energy, hurl it at an enemy from range, dealing damage equal to the current "Magic Attack" value.

🔹 MP Cost: 50

🔹 Additional Effect:Guaranteed Hit

"A guaranteed hit?"

Sakeer clicked his tongue in amazement.

Although he had known about this skill beforehand, seeing it in action still caught him off guard.

The battle between Shalltear and the Bone King was a prime example—

In any game, an ability with a guaranteed hit was immensely valuable.

As he analyzed the skill further, he realized its true potential—

While its current power was limited by his low Magic Attack, it would scale exponentially in the later stages.

With his maxed-out Cursed Knight class and the acquisition of Valkyrie, Sakeer could clearly feel his newfound strength—

He had taken a massive step forward.

Sakeer's gaze lifted.

In the distance, an Archangel Flame patrolled the perimeter.

"Come here."

Whoosh!

Metallic silver-yellow wings flared as the Archangel Flame descended, hovering before him.

Without hesitation—

Boom!

Sakeer threw a single punch.

His fist slammed into the archangel's silver chestplate, instantly denting the armor inward.

The sheer force sent the creature flying, crashing into a thick tree six meters away with a loud thud.

One of its wings snapped on impact, fracturing into scattered points of light before vanishing into the air.

The Archangel Flame trembled, struggling to rise.

With one wing broken, it could no longer fly and could only stagger forward, limping back toward Sakeer.

His eyes flickered toward its damaged armor—

A deep fist-shaped dent remained etched into its silver-white plating, fine cracks spreading outward from the point of impact.

Swish!

An iron sword materialized in Sakeer's grip.

Slash!

He swung his blade with casual precision—

A sharp, cutting sound ripped through the air as the sword sliced cleanly into the archangel's armor.

Sparks erupted from the impact, flaring red-hot against the silver surface.

A second later—

Slash!

With one final strike, the Archangel Flame was severed in half.

Its body dissolved into scattered motes of light, vanishing completely.

Sakeer clenched his fist, rolling his shoulders as he tested his mobility.

Everything—his agility, power, and control—felt vastly enhanced.

"The increase in strength is even greater than I expected."

His experiments confirmed it—

Even against high-defense summoned creatures like angels, his attacks had become overwhelmingly effective.

Compared to his previous encounter with a Archangel Flame at the E-Rantel Hotel, the difference was staggering—

Back then, he had to exert his full strength just to crack the armor.

Now?

He could cut one in half effortlessly.

With this simple test, Sakeer had gained a solid understanding of his current strength.

He recalled that in the future, even the renowned warrior Gazef would be capable of cutting down a Archangel Flame in a single strike—

But this was no reason to be complacent.

His eyes shifted to the system panel—

🔹 Magical Defense: 108 (8%)

🔹 Comprehensive Resistance:255 (20%)

🔹 Specialty:230 (18%)

🔹 Total Stats:111%

The most notable change in his stats was the total percentage exceeding 100%—

And the biggest increases were in Comprehensive Resistance and Specialty.

Sakeer recalled that his previous Comprehensive Resistance was 150—

Now, it had skyrocketed to 255.

There was no doubt that this increase was due to his newly acquired passives:

Blessed Body

Dark Attribute Resistance

Divine Attribute Resistance

After quickly calculating in his head, he understood how it was determined.

At first, his base resistance was 0—

When he obtained Cursed Knight, it had jumped to 150.

Now, with Valkyrie, it had been further enhanced.

🔹 Cursed Knight's Full Resistance Bonus: +130

🔹 Blessed Body Resistance Bonus: +65

🔹 Dark Attribute Resistance (40%) & Holy Attribute Resistance (20%) Combined: +60

Sakeer nodded to himself.

This explained everything.

His "Specialty" stat had also spiked, though the reason was less obvious.

But after careful thought, he had a hunch—

It must be linked to high-tier classes and passive effects.

As he processed everything, a soft noise pulled him from his thoughts.

"Awoo."

A small, timid whimper reached his ears.

Sakeer turned.

The little Barghest, its tiny body trembling, scurried toward him—

Its head lowered, ears flattened, as if sensing his overwhelming strength.

A chuckle escaped his lips.

Sakeer glanced sideways at the little Barghest that had scurried back to his feet, its tail wagging in a blatant attempt to curry favor. His voice was indifferent as he muttered,

"If you're this useless, I might as well feed you to someone else as a snack."

"Awo..."

The chains on the Barghest rattled as it shrank its neck, peering around nervously.

A vast expanse of withered vegetation stretched out before them.

Sakeer stepped onto the ashen weeds, and the moment his foot made contact, the brittle grass crumbled into fine, powdery dust, as if it had been charred beyond recognition.

His gaze swept across the barren landscape.

"Let's go. It's time to pay a visit to the master of this forest."

His voice was soft, yet carried a sense of certainty.

At his words, the little Barghest trotted alongside him, followed closely by an Archangel Flame.

From a bird's-eye view, a distinct, maze-like pattern could be seen cutting through the dense woodland.

This was a hilly terrain, its uneven ground covered in overgrown weeds and the shattered remains of trees.

The scattered bones of wild animals littered the area, a grim testament to the creatures that had perished here.

Clouds of mosquitoes and flies swarmed over the decayed remains, forming what looked like a dense black mist hovering in the air.

Before even reaching the area, a foul, pungent stench wafted through the air, assaulting Sakeer's senses.

The odor was a grotesque mix of decay, filth, and something even worse.

His brows furrowed in disgust.

"These trolls… have they fed their sense of smell to the dogs?"

Forcing himself to endure the stench, he stepped across the boundary into their territory, his sharp eyes scanning the surroundings.

Before long, he spotted it—

A massive cave, four or five meters high, nestled within the hills.

From deep inside, a guttural roar echoed outward, eerily reminiscent of an ogre's growl.

"Lure them out."

Sakeer gave a casual wave of his arm, signaling the Archangel Flame to advance.

He had no intention of stepping inside that wretched cavern.

The stench from outside alone was already unbearable—he couldn't even imagine how revolting it would be inside.

Whoosh!

The Archangel Flame's silver-yellow wings flared open as it soared toward the cavern's entrance.

A moment later—

It vanished into the darkness of the cave.

A few seconds passed.

Then—

The echoing yells of ogres erupted from within.

And just as suddenly—

Silence.

Ding!

[Gained XP: 312]

[Gained XP: 310]

With the Archangel Flame's level and strength, low-level ogres posed no significant threat.

A few more minutes ticked by—

Then, the cavern trembled.

"Roar! Intruder!"

A thunderous bellow shook the air.

This time, the roar was deeper, harsher, brimming with unrestrained fury.

Then—

A streak of light burst from the cavern's entrance as the Archangel Flame shot out, taking to the skies once more.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A series of heavy, earth-shaking footsteps followed.

The first creatures to emerge from the darkness were three massive ogres.

They were far larger than the ordinary ogres Sakeer had encountered before—

Their brown, coarse skin looked tough as leather, their massive forms exuding raw strength.

And behind them—

Six trolls stepped forward.

Unlike the rough, pimpled flesh of the ogres, these trolls had smooth, dark-blue fur covering their bodies.

Though their height wasn't drastically different, each one stood a head taller than the ogres, their longer limbs and leaner frames giving them a beastly, predatory aura.

The Archangel Flame floated back to Sakeer's side, hovering in midair.

And with it—

A new wave of vile, putrid air flooded into the surroundings.

Sakeer instinctively pinched his nose, taking a step away from the Archangel Flame before casting his gaze toward the cavern entrance.

His lips curled slightly.

"These ones are clearly much stronger—and far more vicious—than the trolls I bought back in the Imperial Capital."

Then—

BOOM!

A heavier, thunderous footstep echoed from within the cave.

The trolls at the front had barely stepped into position when—

A massive pair of armsbrutally shoved them aside, sending two of them crashing to the ground with an earth-shaking thud.

The trolls scrambled to regain their footing, but their towering forms looked almost dwarfed compared to the new arrival.

Looming in the cave's entrance stood a colossal figure, nearly three meters tall.

Its massive, muscular body was covered in a stone-like, dark green hide, far more solid and unyielding than the trolls' skin.

Its overall appearance bore a resemblance to an ogre—

But even at a glance, it was clear—

This creature was something else entirely.

This was no ordinary troll or ogre.

This was—

The Ruler of the Eastern Region—

War Troll Guu!

"Who dares invade my land?!"

A deep, irritable growl rumbled from the creature's chest.

Its beady, gleaming eyes locked onto Sakeer.

Then, its gaze shifted—

Landing on the Archangel Flame beside him.

A flicker of curiosity flashed through its dull, primal stare.

"A creature I've never seen before."

With a casual flick of its enormous arm, the beast lifted its massive, nearly three-meter-long greatsword—

The weapon's jagged blade, lined with glowing purple grooves, sliced through the air as it swung effortlessly.

BOOM!

A single, lazy swing sent a violent gust of wind ripping through the cavern's entrance, kicking up a raging storm of dust and debris.

Sakeer's eyes twitched slightly at the sight.

Just from its stance and presence alone—

This War Troll Guu was no weaker than the "Martial Lord" Go Gin.

However, if it came down to pure combat skill, Go Gin would likely have the upper hand.

Still—

"The troll race is truly fascinating."

Sakeer mused, studying the creatures before him.

Thus far, he had encountered three distinct types—

Ordinary TrollsThe "Martial Lord" Go GinThis monstrous War Troll Guu

Each one was so drastically different that they hardly seemed to belong to the same species.

"Human?"

The trolls sneered.

"A shiny creature!"

"Weak human flesh! I haven't eaten one in a long time!"

"Too many bones, not enough meat. Disgusting!"

"But it glows! I want to taste it!"

Then—

"Intruders!"

"Kill them all!"

A chorus of snarls and roars erupted as the trolls charged forward.
