Location the New Earth; North Pole
Deep in the frozen tundra of the far north, a massive event is happening, the once tranquill, frozen death waste was completely erratic.
Ice spread and sprouted across the land, spikes and great glacier were multiplying across this place, with temperatures dropping to greater levels, and...snowing constantly, not a icestorm or blizzard, but just constant falling snow on the world's coldest landmass.
This change hasn't gone unnoticed, as Superman who was currently the closest Leaguer, do to his "secret" fortress is the nearest, scanning all the shifts occurring in the North Pole, now the Man of Steel was sure, this is the location that first marker on Hawaii, was aiming towards.
Superman, he'd wanted to be the leading man to this recognition mission to find the next mark...but the stress of his parents being in Mao's clutches are distracting him, and making him very emotionally unstable, so is many other heroes...so Wonder Woman suggested they'd send the team, Young Justice to head this mission.
Batman was at first against this, but Diana mention that they too have important, loved ones in danger at the moment, they shouldn't be on the field during that time.
The Caped Crusader, begrudgingly agreed, contacting Aqualad to prepare for a important mission...
Location Happy Harbor, Rhode Island; Mount Justice, within the Cave: Living Room
Several members of the team, have gathered and waiting for Aqualad, and Superboy to come and tell them what the Bat, has for them.
Red Arrow, Will Harper in his superhero custome was standing by a kitchen stool area, drinking some water joined by his brother...original Roy, and his wife Cheshire who for the recent Forsaken threats, she'd quit...for now her mercenary work, and moved to the Cave with their daughter, safety under heroes watch.
Will is wearing a black domino mask over his eyes, a black sleeveless suit with a upside down red arrow on his chest, special black fingerless long gloves, several pouches and packs strapped to his legs, black and gray long pants and boots, while his quiver and arrows resting beside his stool.
Next to him is his wife, Cheshire, her real name Jade Nguyen, a beautiful and sensual Asian woman with spiky, almost mane like black hair, wearing a jade, green, bright green sleeveless kimono which has a ninja like style, black and silver suit with long sleeved gloves that she wraps jade colored bands over them, and lastly a pair of black and silver thigh-high footwear, fitting for her style and combat abilities.
Right now she doesn't have her mask, which is grinning cat-like Asian mask with red markings on it, as she saw no need to use it at the moment.
While she has her usual mischievous, and playful expression on her face, Will knows that Cheshire, she's worried about their daughter, Lian Nguyen-Harper, sleeping on one of the room of the base, under Sphere and Wolf watch, a favor from Connor, which both parents appreciate.
Last of this trio is the original Speedy, now known as Arsenal, still in his teens, since he was abducted and place in literal ice for some years, until Will, and Jade save him, he's wearing a similar design custome, as his brother only with a darker red to accent the custom, and more red than Red Arrow...also has on a shorter fingerless gloves with red accents, and the most obvious trait, his right cybernetic arm.
A literal parting gift, from Lex Luthor himself to appease him, as Arsenal once had that man at the end of barrel, ready kill him, but he'd took the arm in exchange for sparing that asshole, and thanks to his family, he slowly recovered from his trauma, right now he was anxious, and he knew that Will felt the same.
If this mission has anything to do with the Forsaken, Diana and Fecility will surely find out, he's afraid that the Team will have to come to blows, with Team Arrow, should this be the case, as he'd sighed...
In another part of the room, resting on the wall is Blue Beetle, realname Jaime Reyes, the third official Blue Beetle, and barer of the Blue Scarab.
He was fully armored and ready, which is mainly a black and blue armor that resembles extremely a beetle...with a full face mask, that hide all facial features and even change his eyes to look more yellow in color, having some pincers, and insectoid parts coming from the scarab, that is acting like a backpack to Jaime.
Beside the holo-platform, she was screaning through multiple data, and files on Forsaken attacks, Batgirl, she is quite anxious, as she is trying to do anything to find those taken by Mao.
As Miss Martian, Megan, she's trying to consolidate her friend and teammate, as one of the people that were kidnapped by the Forsaken, it's Barbara's father, Commissioner, James Gordon, this is the reason that Batgirl is desperately trying to find any clue or solution to enter where ever the Forsaken are, and in turn find the captives.
Near these two are two other superheroines, Rocket and Spoiler, their realnames is Raquel Ervin, and Stephanie Brown respectfully, they are close to each of these girls.
Rocket is a African-American, brown haired young woman, who became a very closed friend and companion to Megan and the team, when she saw Barbara stressing and Megan was trying to help, Rocket, she went to help her friends.
She is wearing her custome, a face and hair exposing full-body bluish-gray that is covered by a grayish-beige long sleeved jacket, and likewise slacks, a pair of brown padded, grayish-beige gloves, a red cybernetic large belt with light blue energy, circulating through said device.
And Spoiler she wearing her custome, a purple hooded cape with a yellow underside, a black face mask that shows her eyes and blonde hair flowing under the hood, blackish gray bodysuit with purple accents, which includes a bat on her chest, purple gloves, boots, and utility belt, she was desperately trying to help her friend, and fellow bat, as she can see Barbara is hurting, because of Jim.
The only one that is alone, waitint for Kaldur and Connor is Wonder Girl aka Cassandra Sandsmark, a beautiful girl with long blonde hair with a black headband, wearing a sleeveless black top that has a red zipper, with the two W of the Wonder Woman logo in gold, proudly displayed on her chest.
A pair of silver wrist brace strapped on her, and long red pant with two white stripes, trailing down the pant legs, and a pair of black boots.
She was nervous, her usual outgoing, and bright personality...didn't know what to do, as she never liked such gloomy atmosphere, sighing Cassandra went over to the kitchen to get something to drink, maybe a snack too.
Static and Gear their like usual together, chatting and trying to not show their nerves, as this will mark their first official mission with the Team, and it might involve the biggest bad guys, that currently run the world, the Forsaken.
Just as they were all gonna do something else, the red metallic door to the private briefing room opened, making all these young heroes immediately put their attention on the blond hair Atlantian, Aqualad, next to young man with a black shirt with a red superman logo, Superboy or Connor Kent.
Both wore a serious expression on their faces, as Connor looked at Kaldur almost giving the team leader a sign to inform the others, Kaldur took a deep breathe as he started to speak.
Telling the team, that unfortunately no new news on the kidnapped billion of people has arrived, this made Barbara sadder, as Cassandra, Megan, and Raquel huddle next to her, and comfort her the best that they could.
Kaldur continued, telling them that this mission is involving possibly dealing with the Forsaken, for their responsible to track a possible sighting for the next sighting for them to track down the next marker of the Reality Core, the Nature's Heart.
Kaldur even said to the team, "Also Batman suspect that we'll need help on this mission. But the League is busy, investigating a possible way to infiltrate Forsaken's realm. The Titans preoccupied with dealing with rising crime. Our new allies, will join us." this surprised everyone.
As Virgil scratched his dread hair, and had to ask, "Umm Kaldur dude. Who is gonna help us?" that when the computer spoke out loud, "Recognized. C-1, Invincible. C-2, Robot. C-3, Atom Eve. C-4, Dupli-kate." as a light blue colored boom tube opened up, and four unknown young heroes, came through.
A young man in a yellow, aqua, and black theme custome, a clay orange robot with neon green eye-lenses, a red long haired, young woman in a two toned pink custome with a short cape, and lastly a Asian young woman in a two tone purple custome.
Aqualad, he introduced their guest and allies on their mission, members of the Guardians of the Globe, Invincible, as Mark smiled and waved at the Young Justice members.
Kaldur continued, introducing Robot next, as Robot nodded his head in respect, and spoke, "Greetings. It is a pleasure to meet you all." Gear, was in awe, as he responded, "Man, that's some sweet design. Used titanium or some other alloy combination?" Rudy chuckled a bit, as he responded that it was going to be a pleasure to share notes with Gear.
As Virgil, wrapped his arm over his best friend and partner, telling him that he finally having someone to share gadget speak with, this lighten the mood a bit of the room.
Eve, Kate, and Invisible all smiled liking the atmosphere, Aqualad continued the introductions, introducing Atom Eve next, who waved at the Young Justice heroes, and lastly Dupli-kate was introduced, who decided to show off her powers, by creating a clone to whisper to her ear.
As the main Kate, she responded, "I know their awesome!!" the clone faded away, impressing everyone, as Cheshire give a devilish, mischievous smile, saying, "Woah guys most love you." Red Arrow sighed, calling out to her, while Kate and Eve...they were awkward.
Since a old, old wound between them, involve Kate using her powers...with Rex...with introductions finished, Kaldur explained that G.O.G. are new to the New Earth, but their great heroes, with the League's approval.
With that Superboy lead the four Guardians to the kitchen, so they can get something to drink, while Aqualad showed them through holograms, what their mission is, their going to the North Pole, showing that the landmass was dropping in temperature, way passed normal specs.
Plus other slight, but constant weather anomalies, just like what happened to Hawaii, that's when Mark drinking a bottle of water, asked out loud, "What happened to this Hawaii?" everyone from the Team, looked a bit uncomfortable, especially Red Arrow and Arsenal.
Cheshire, she comfort her husband, as Blue Beetle decided to be the one to explain the desolation of Hawaii, showing that once tropical paradise...is now a ever active, blazing, volcanic, inferno wasteland, with what looks like a Hawaiian fire Goddess, emerging from the volcano, Mauna Loa.
The four Guardians were shocked with what their seeing, as Blue Beetle continued to explain some time ago, when the first Reality Core awakened, many weather and environmental issues on the planet, have been forcibly re-stablelized, this has affected many people that have a deep elemental connection.
Dupli-kate commented, "Ella Mental would be suffering right now, if she was abducted as well." the Young Justice members, looked at the duplicator in confusion, she waved off and answered their unspoken question, "Don't mind it guys. A old friend from back home." understanding, Jaime went on.
Telling them that with Cores being the primary target for Justice League, their team, and now the G.O.G, as Mao himself has confessed that those artifacts are the only hope for them all, Robot commented, that when they first encountered Mao, he has admitted that he doesn't possess the power to merge or seperate verses.
But tear parts of worlds to merge with another different world...this is still a great shock, it's clear...well at least for the Guardians...one of the greatest threats that their faced, but for those that have grown with the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman, Shazam, and other big names, facing such universal scale menaces, it could honestly be called a Tuesday for them.
The difference is that Mao, it like the worst parts of their greatest enemies, and beings, merged into one huge, unhinged, insane monster, which rules other monsters.
As Blue Beetle finished explaining what one Core is capable of doing to their world, and Mao himself confirming that all ten of them, can sever a multiverse from its own universe, breaking all laws of physics, reality, and creation.
Mark, Eve, and Kate were utterly speechless, even when facing intergalactic, ruthless conquerors, other-dimensional invaders, and even the forces of Hell itself.
Never have they come in contact with things of such magnitude of power, Robot asked "how much have they, learned about the Cores?" Kaldur sighed as he'd answered Robot's question, telling the G.O.G, that aside the Nature's Heart having absolute control over every aspect of nature, they've only uncovered the name of another Core of Reality.
Which is called the Knowledge Prism, quite possible bestows great amount of knowledge, as Kaldur showed the recorded escape of Flash Thompson, also known as the Marker, who is still missing, the four Guardians watched as Flash was guided by the Knowledge Prism, saved by the Nature's Heart, and another unknown Core, also saved him from Sabrewulf, Cyn, Abathur, Nomu-King, and others attacks.
Regardless now the G.O.G. they have a clear target, collecting the Cores before anyone else, if a supervillain finds them, or the Forsaken reclaim them, their only way back home to stop Angstrom, as Mao "spoilers" it's still causing anxiety.
Since their Earth is practically defenseless, with most of their heroes on a literal other Earth, plus Mark he was really worried about his mom, little brother,...and his dad, with Omni-man they might have some chance, but from what Mao has revealed, it practically took all of them working together, for the best outcome, soo it was stressing regardless, they have to push on, and get ready to fight.
Cause Invincible knows that whatever the situation, someone always is eager to fight, regardless of whose the opponent...just thinking of Battle Beast, the Viltramites, and more, were more than enough examples for him, with that Kaldur started planing for the expedition to the North Pole...
