Ficool

Chapter 44 - 44

With the power of the [Mutated Gem], there's no reason why the 'corpses' could be recycled, but those explosive flames couldn't!

The soaring flames even scorched and warped space. How enormous was that energy?

And what about the crude oil that Qi Jun had desperately tried to avoid?

Shouldn't that also contain a vast amount of energy?

If 'dead bodies' could be recycled, then the crude oil that caused such a massive fire couldn't possibly be without recycling value, could it?!

Qi Jun slapped himself hard!

Slap!

It really hurt!

I, Qi Jun, am going back to recycle the energy!

Shortly after Phil Coulson reported the intelligence through standard procedures, a Quinjet landed and picked him up.

A massive fire, a veritable inferno, would leave no clues behind, so Phil Coulson naturally had no reason to remain at the scene.

The remaining matters were handed directly to the New York authorities, and S.H.I.E.L.D. withdrew immediately.

In fact, Nick Fury was somewhat relieved. He had initially thought it was just a private act of revenge, and S.H.I.E.L.D. had only arranged for surveillance.

Otherwise, in such an inferno, no matter how many agents S.H.I.E.L.D. had meticulously trained, it wouldn't be enough to burn!

"Coulson, have you met that 'invisible monitor'?"

"Do you know who he is? First contact, what's his personality like?"

In Nick Fury's private office, the Black Egg summoned his capable general.

"Director, what are you talking about?"

"When did I ever come into contact with an 'invisible monitor'?"

"Didn't you tell me to contact the two street heroes in Hell's Kitchen named 'Big Daddy' and 'Hit-Girl'?"

"And who is this 'invisible monitor'?"

The more Coulson spoke, the more his brow furrowed, feeling as if there was something he couldn't quite recall.

The Black Egg, on the other hand, grew more and more shocked the more he listened. What kind of superpower was this? Not only did it avoid surveillance, but it could also delete memories?

The Black Egg did not doubt Coulson's loyalty. After all, the two had known each other since fighting aliens together.

Although Phil Coulson was just a rookie fresh out of training back then, his background was thoroughly known!

"Look at this!"

The Black Egg didn't say much, merely turned the tablet in his hand, facing the screen towards Coulson.

The screen was playing some bizarre footage of the 'invisible monitor' captured by surveillance.

"Wait!"

"I think I remember something?"

"Huh?"

"How come I don't seem to remember anything again?"

"Right, I received an order from the Director to contact three people."

"Three people?"

"Oh, right, three people."

"Eh? Who was this third person?"

"Why is the impression so blurry?"

"Height? Can't remember!"

"Build? Can't remember!"

"Attire? Can't remember!"

"Appearance? Absolutely no impression!"

"Voice? Can't remember, huh? I do remember it was a male voice."

..."Director, it seems I did indeed come into contact with a super-powered individual!"

Glancing at the Director, whose grim expression had returned to normal, Phil Coulson was utterly shocked!

What kind of black technology was this?

"Is this an incomplete memory deletion technique or a superpower?"

"Or is this a technique that allows people to forget certain memories? A superpower?"

"Director!"

"I think we should prepare for this!"

Phil Coulson's expression turned serious.

As a fanatical admirer of Captain America, who dedicated his life to his cause, Phil Coulson absolutely would not allow such an overpowered individual to operate outside of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s control.

In fact, this was one of the reasons Qi Jun was not prepared to contact S.H.I.E.L.D.

S.H.I.E.L.D.'s actions might be for the good of the entire world, but Qi Jun did not agree with their methods.
