To be honest, the comic book version of Marvel is too incomprehensible; its characters constantly shatter planets and turn the universe upside down.
Once the writers run out of ideas, they just find some random excuse—oh, the universe restarts, and everyone is wiped out.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is relatively much safer.
Although even in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is a world-destroying demon who wants to wipe out half of all life in the universe with a snap of his fingers.
But this world-destroying demon is still a manageable cosmic powerhouse before he gathers all the Infinity Stones and summons the complete Infinity Gauntlet.
What's more, with the mutated Reality Stone protecting him, no matter how many times this world-destroying demon snaps his fingers, Qi Jun himself will not be erased.
Between two evils, one chooses the lesser, so, relatively speaking, if he had to choose, Qi Jun would definitely prefer to stay in the Marvel Cinematic Universe... Relaxing his mind, Qi Jun no longer had any desire to check the data.
He leaned back, resting on the somewhat old sofa, stretching his body and letting out a yawn.
"Ooh-woo~~~"
"So comfortable~~~"
After stretching, Qi Jun felt refreshed all over, lazily leaning on the sofa, watching the sunlight stream in through the window, illuminating the entire room.
For a moment, Qi Jun thought that if life could always be this pleasant, it would be a beautiful thing.
Unfortunately~
This is the Marvel world; if he really just slacked off, he would truly be courting death.
Shaking his head, Qi Jun sat up, preparing to pour himself a glass of water... Wait!
Standing up, Qi Jun suddenly felt that something was amiss.
But what exactly was wrong?
Standing still, Qi Jun's mind raced.
Could it be that someone had discovered his abnormality? Was he being monitored?
Since when could he sense being spied on from the shadows? Was it an ability granted by the [Mutated Gem]?
Or, did the original owner of this house have hidden surveillance installed in the room?
At this thought, Qi Jun immediately became agitated.
Damn it, even though I didn't acquire this house through proper procedures, I still paid you enough money, and you're still monitoring me?
Of course, after some thought, Qi Jun dismissed this idea.
After all, who would know that he 'acquired' this house at this particular time? So, it's impossible for anyone to be monitoring him right now! Unless that person traveled through time from the future... Hmm? The future?
"Holy crap!"
"I almost forgot, this world has cheats who can travel through time!"
Qi Jun immediately started moving, quickly and carefully checking every room, even casting suspicious glances through the windows at every direction from which the room could be observed.
However, after bustling about for a long time, Qi Jun still found nothing.
"Could it be…"
"...that I'm just being paranoid?"
Qi Jun muttered to himself.
Actually, it's not surprising that Qi Jun was paranoid; after all, a transmigrator who lacks this constant vigilance wouldn't know how they might die at any moment.
"Could it be…"
"...that I really am overthinking things?"
"Or, has the observer already left?"
"By the way, is there a concept of 'observers' in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?"
Leaning in a corner by the window, looking down at the bustling crowd below through the glass, Qi Jun frowned in thought.
But.
After thinking for a long time without any clear answers, Qi Jun finally gave up on delving deeper.
As mentioned before, Qi Jun was not someone who dwelled on trivialities.
If he couldn't find an answer right away, he would just set it aside for the time being.
After all, sometimes, when you stop looking for it, the answer just appears on its own!
At least, he was living a much happier life than those people rushing through the streets below, struggling to make a living, wasn't he!
Look at them, to survive, they have to sweat profusely under the sun.
Then look at himself, watching them busy from above, enjoying the sunlight, how wonderful life is... Wait?
Sunlight?
..."Holy crap!"
"I really was looking for a donkey while riding one!"
"Sure enough, once I stopped caring about it, it just popped up inadvertently!"
"I knew something was wrong!"
"It turns out, from the moment the sunlight shone into the room, something was already amiss!"
"I'm literally crying over my own stupidity!"
"The sunlight was clearly shining on me, yet it didn't leave even a trace of warmth; isn't that abnormal enough?"
He looked at his hands, which he had extended into the sunlight, yet felt not a trace of heat, not even a hint of warmth!
