Chapter 10 - Chapter 8; First Usage of A Teleportation Waypoint / Well Earned Rest

Late at night after receiving the works, it turned late at night around the Starfall Valley. So I decided that i needed some rest, before continuing to help the suspicious calvarly captain who is still investigating me and my abilities so I decided to make my move.

I turned to Paimon. Who also seemed a bit tired from floating all day for to long.

Aether; Hey Paimon, are you okay with us continuing this tommorow?, I feel a bit tired and I dont wanna overwork myself

Paimon; Ohh sure Aether, Paimon thinks its possibly for the best to not overwork yourself, and also its time for dinner, and Paimon wants to eat at Good Hunters again, if that's okay with you aether.

I smiled at how considerate this version of Paimon is compared to the original Paimon who was nothing more than a glutton. Glad to have this version of paimon with me, compared to the original.

Aether; I don't mind, if your wondering, and also I've earned a good amount of Mora so we could crash at a Hotel Inn, on the way to Mondstadt,

As we where walking away from the "Starfall Valley". I had recieved a notification from one of my another voice that I almost forgot was what I wished for.

World Sage; Notice!. Master is in close proximity / near one of the "Statue Of The Seven" near "Windrise" within 200km according to the "Map Layout Skill" would master like to visit the statue to add more records to the "Memory Archive"?

Aether (mentally); 'Ohhh right, I almost forgot I had "World Sage" with me'

I was so focused on using "Great Sages" functions that i almost forgot about having another unique skill similar to my first "Sage" unique skill. It really helped me in terms of direction around Mondstadt for mapping and understanding the layout by touching the statue's when i first came into this world, It also helps by giving me information about the Mondstadt layout, similar to the gameplay of genshin impact, when reaching the statue of the seven, not only does it unlock another section of the map, but it also helps to restoring "HP" and Boost the "EX" points to the adventure's rank.

I looked at around until I used the mental map visuailization that "World Sage" helpfully provided to locate where the map was,

And there it was, standing tall in the distance underneath a huge groove / willow tree, honouring one of mondstadts finest warriors who ascended to Celesta. It was kind of far in distance, and I really want to get back to mondstadt before night fall, so i thought about using my "Air Dance" skill, combined with "Rift Walk" to help me increase my speed

I looked around first to see if there was anyone insight beofre using my skill but there was nobody, so I decided to make my move AND bringing my companion with me

Aether; Hey Paimon, wanna a piggy back ride through the skies?

Paimon, had literal stars in her eyes from that Idea, ask she squeaked

Paimon; YESS, PLEASE, Paimon saw how you where literally in the skies when fighting that big old dragon, it would be fun to experience it in real time!!!

Aether; Hahahaha. Sure, just be careful on the journey

She quickly floated ontop of my shoulders and climbed on the top of my head with her legs dangling on my shoulders, and her hands on top of my hands, with aether finding a teleport way point close to a hill in close direction to Winderise, and quickly teleported there, with there being a flash of anemo light from his previous placement and after a few moments was able to telpeeort next to the way point.

Paimon; Wooow, we where just there and now where up hear, How did you do that!?

Ohh right, Its probably Paimon's fitst time using a teleport way point. I had to explain the function of the teleport waypoint to paimon who was slowly getting the concept of those waypoints around Teyvat, that serve for fast travel, saving immense time across Teyvat's vast world, enabling quick access to daily commissions, bosses, and resource.

Paimon; Ohh Paimon remembers now! There is also another one of those teleport waypoints in Mondstadt city, that was activated once you touched the statue of the seven. So we can just teleport through it instead of just walking to the city!

Aether; That's right paimon and it also saves us the troubles of walking and travelling making the distance be smaller, acting like a "Gate" that erases the distance between the two locations!

Paimon; Paimon Understands now! So are we going Windrise soon?

Aether; Right Paimon, thanks for the reminder.

Once we where on the cliff side looking over the the direction of windrise, the wind blowing against our hairs flowing through the cliff area, I made my move, by stepping of the cliff, with debriess flying from the ground.

Aether (mentally) "Great Sage; Activate "Aerodynamic Skill" for air platform generation + "Supersonic Step Skill" for quick high-speed movement.

Great Sage; Affirmative Master

As soon as soon as the an small barrier-like plates of compressed air under my feet was created, I started to walk on the air, just like I did when facing storm terror, but steadier, with the improvement of my training making the platform stabilize even better than before, then i combined it with "Supersonic Step Skill" to increase my speed, plus also focusing my "Wind Mana" on my feet to travel down below in high speeds.

It was a little ruff at first, managing activation of THREE skills in one go, but all I have to do is focus on activating the skills, whilst great sage does the heavy mental lifting, helping me multi - tasking whilst covering the distance even more.

"Whee! This is almost as fun as flying!" Paimon giggled after one such burst. Then she gave him a pleading look. "Hey, Aether… can Paimon get a piggyback ride? For real flying? Like you did against the dragon?"

Aether chuckled. "Hop on." Paimon settled on his back, clutching his scarf. "Hold tight."

This time, he combined skills in a fluid sequence. Aerodynamics formed a solid, shimmering plate of compressed air under his leading foot. He kicked off, and as he arced, Supersonic Step (a derivative of his speed skills) propelled him forward, while fine Wind Mana Control from his Black Clover archive created a streamlined sheath around them, cutting wind resistance. It wasn't true flight, but it was a series of spectacular, leaping glides across the valley, covering ground faster than any horse.

They reached the great tree of Windrise, its silhouette massive against the starry sky. The Statue of the Seven stood serene beneath it, hand outstretched. The area was deserted.

"Alright, let's make this quick," Aether said, approaching the base. He placed a hand on the cool stone, on the familiar star-shaped sigil.

A warm, gentle pulse of energy flowed into him, familiar yet different from the first time. It wasn't granting new power; it was refilling him. The vast ocean of his Magicule Battery, which had seen a slight dip from the day's exertions, was topped off to overflowing, thrumming with renewed, limitless potential.

[Synchronization with 'Statue of the Seven – Windrise' complete. Magicule Battery replenished to 100%. Geographical and historical data for region 'Eastern Mondstadt – Windrise' downloaded.]

A flood of information settled into his mind: the history of this lone tree as a symbol of the Anemo Archon's first miracle, the depth of the spring, the migratory paths of Anemo Crystalfies that gathered here at dawn, the precise mineral composition of the surrounding cliffs. It was added to his ever-growing Geographical Map Layout and Memory Archive.

'A constant recharge station,' Aether mused. 'But relying on statues is limiting. I need a way to absorb environmental energy passively… like Sage Mode from the naruto universe, or forming a Mana Zone.' from black clover universe. Great Sage logged the conceptual desire for future skill development.

[Passive environmental energy absorption is theoretically possible. Required: Deep integration with local ley lines and/or elemental currents. Suggested research path: Analyze 'Blessing of the Voice of the World' interaction with Teyvat's elemental flow. Estimated development time: Significant.]

It was a project for another day.

[All local data archived. Query: Utilize activated 'Teleport Waypoint – Windrise' for transit to 'Teleport Waypoint – Mondstadt City (Cathedral)'?] World Sage inquired.

Aether looked at Paimon, who was curiously poking at the glowing roots of the great tree. "Ready to go back to the city? The fast way?"

Paimon's eyes went wide. "The sparkly blue teleport thingies? We can use those? For real?"

"Let's find out." Aether focused on the mental map, on the specific waypoint icon near the city's cathedral. "Yes. Initiate teleport."

A sensation unlike any other gripped him. It wasn't the violent pull of the tornado, nor the swift step of Riftwalk. It was a gentle, all-encompassing unmaking. He watched as his own hand dissolved into a swirl of teal and gold Anemo particles, the process flowing up his arm and across his body. Beside him, Paimon became a constellation of sparkling stardust. There was no sense of movement, only a momentary void filled with the whisper of a thousand winds, and then—

—reassembly.

The cool night air of Windrise was replaced by the slightly warmer, city-scented breeze of Mondstadt. The sound of the great tree's leaves became the distant murmur of the city night watch and the gentle splash of the central fountain. They stood on the stone platform of the waypoint, nestled behind the towering Cathedral.

It had taken less than a heartbeat.

"WE DID IT!" Paimon shrieked, zipping in frantic circles around Aether's head. "That was amazing! Whoosh and we're here! Traveling is going to be SO easy! We can search for your sister everywhere now!"

Aether laughed, the sheer convenience of it sparking joy. "It certainly will make things faster." But his strategist's mind was already working. 'These are fixed points,' he thought. 'There incredibly useful for covering the land of diffferent nations, but I need mobility. I need to be able to create temporary, personal waypoints that don't fade after a week. A project for 'Skill Creator' when I have more data on the ley lines.'

With the immediate goal of rest paramount, they made their way to the Goth Grand Hotel. The concierge raised an eyebrow at their late arrival but was swiftly mollified by the clink of Mora—a hefty sum from the treasure chests secured in the temple with Amber. The room was lavish, a stark contrast to the wilderness they'd just left.

Paimon belly-flopped onto the large, plush bed with a sigh of pure bliss. "A bed! A real, non-rocky, non-grassy bed!"

Aether sat on the edge, feeling the day's accumulated tension begin to drain. The fight with the dragon, the temple with Amber, the teleportation experiment—it had been a day of immense progress and hidden integration.

"Get some sleep, Paimon," he said softly. "Tomorrow, we meet with Kaeya. That… will be its own kind of challenge."

"Mmm… okay…" Paimon mumbled, already half-asleep. "But breakfast first thing…"

Aether smiled, lying back. As he closed his eyes, the silent hum of Great Sage and the quiet, map-like presence of World Sage were his only companions in the dark. He drifted, not into mere sleep, but into a sea of processed data—swirling maps of Mondstadt, spell matrices waiting to be optimized, and the faint, echoing whisper of a sister's voice, still too distant to decipher.

The chapter of the day was closed. The city of freedom slept around him, unaware of the living archive and the boundless potential slumbering within its walls, ready for whatever the cunning Cavalry Captain's investigation might bring with the dawn.
