Synopsis
Lin Mohu appears to be an ordinary 20-year-old running a small orphanage in the most prestigious district of the capital. Every morning, he drives his blue mini-van to take the children to school, wearing his signature Hawaiian shirts and flip-flops. To his elderly caretaker companion and the children, he's just their beloved "Brother Mohu" who never seems to worry about anything.
But there are strange things about this young man. Threats to the orphanage never seem to escalate into serious problems. A curious neighbor from a wealthy family becomes obsessed with his mysterious calm. Government officials who plan to cause trouble suddenly change their minds after mysterious phone calls. And why does China's legendary War God, who has dominated the martial world for thirty years, personally sponsor this small orphanage?
As Lin Mohu navigates daily life caring for fifteen orphans, deeper mysteries emerge. A beautiful social worker feels inexplicably drawn to him. Supernatural incidents increase around the city. And somewhere in the shadows, unseen protectors ensure that nothing disturbs the peaceful routine of school runs and bedtime stories.
In a world where martial artists can split mountains and governments hide supernatural departments, one man's greatest challenge isn't the cosmic threats lurking in the darkness, it's making sure the children finish their homework and get to bed on time.
Sometimes the most ordinary life is protected by the most extraordinary guardians.
