Prologue

David definitely died that night, when he chose to let go of the wheel and close his eyes. Going over a hundred miles an hour, he crashed into the highway's barrier. There, his torso was crushed and his life force distinguished.

Yet, here he is standing behind seven people in line in an empty void. Up ahead, one being sat behind a desk read every person's sins and merits before giving judgment. David didn't know how long he's been in this line of the dead.

For all he's known, he never thought the afterlife would be like this.

" Next person in line..."

Again, that person. David hated that monotone, no effort whatsoever voice. Three people left. Three. Just three people were left out of the 3 million and sixty-five that were ahead of him.

" Next..."

3 million and sixty-six...

" Name?....."

" David"

" Your sins are suicide, and you've done nothing in life worthy of merit."

Go figured, like I didn't know that already. I lived my life selfishly, pathetically, at that.

" Hmm..."

Yeah, go ahead and slam down that hammer of judgment of yours. I know where I am heading too. Straight to the fiery flames of the nine levels of hell.

" God wishes to speak with you, David. You may head past the gates."

Stupefied, David could not bring himself to move. Only at the behest of the person, that David finally drift passed the gates. There, he truly saw what his mother described to him: Heaven. It was not as grand, nor a letdown. It was just right, a place befitting those who tried their best at life.

There in the center was a single entity, his very being shrouded in a veil of divinity. He beckoned David to come closer. Like a father would to a troubled son. There the entity sat down, and so did David.

" I've seen for millennials, my children, so many have chosen to end the life that was given to them. Through hunger and pain, so many other reasons have been said and done. I am tired of seeing senseless deaths."

" I've chosen to create another universe, today's the seventh day. Child, I give you another chance at life. Now go and redeem yourself. I shall rest now."

" Wait! Why me!"

No matter how loud David shouted or begged God to answer him. It only seems to bring him farther and farther away from the gates past the lines of the souls of the dead. Back down the clouds from which he initially came up.

...

" Miss Silvia, you need to push harder!!"

What's going on?....

" Honey, hold on!!"

Where am I?....

Right before me, in this void that I am trapped in, gates slowly pry open. Two hands yanked me out of my prison. Standing before me were people I was unfamiliar with. A blonde man, a brunette lady on the bed, and it seems to be an ebony maid or nurse, I have no clue.

Who are these people?...

"Welcome to the world, David."

The blonde man leaned in closer and hugged David, who was in the grasp of the brunette.

" Our son."
