As the sun rises, tension follows suits for those who participated in the U.A Entrance Exam. Some confident in their results, most scared. However, one boy didn't care. The U.A Entrance exam was simply a way for him to stretch his legs, and take notes of the quirks of the future heroes.
Izuku Midoriya has already dispatched 30 villains during the 10 months. 20 crippled, 1 dead(killer not confirmed), 8 diagnosed with PTSD, and 1 sent to Tartarus.
Midoriya Compound:
"Deku, U.A just called, and said they gave you a scholarship," stated Inko with tears of happiness in her eyes. However, what she saw a grim and bored expression on Deku as he came down the stairs.
Clamp Clamp
"Mom... I don't think I want to go to U.A," stated Izuku as he started getting cooking materials ready
"Don't worry about the money, they gave you a scholarship, and you could always go to Shiketsu or some other hero academy," retorted Inko as she felt that he could make new friends while pursuing his dream. She's noticed he has become more of a loner.
He was one before, but at least he was somewhat happy.
She couldn't fully pick up on it, but person's aura felt ominous, and she assumed it to be a minor side affect of his quirk. After all, all she knows is that he can summon a humanoid creature that attacks for him.
"It doesn't just feel right without Bakugo. Sure, All Might was my idol, but Bakugo is someone who embodied the will to never give up, and strive to be the best," said Deku as he decided to make breakfast for Inko.
"Deku--."
Huh? pondered Deku as Inko dismissed her statement.
"I don't know what to say to him. I just pray he doesn't do something he regrets," thought Inko as she solemnly looked at a picture of Izuku and Bakugo in kindergarten.
U.A Building:
The camera pans to the teacher's longue. They are all murmuring about the new students, and the hero known as Eraser Head speaks up.
"It seems we have two people who declined U.A. This is not only rare, but it's the no.1 of the robot and no.1 of recommendation exams," mutters Aizawa as the other teachers nod.
"At least Inasa Yoarashi went to Shiketsu--U.A of the east--but Izuku Midoriya decided to not enroll in any Hero school," said Nezu while reading Midoriya's file(which has no mention of his relation to Katsuki Bakugo).
"He's far too valuable to simply leave him alone, especially if he switches sides. It's best to confront and ask for further reason," stated Aizawa with a bad gut feeling in his stomach.
"Ok! Meeting dismissed," stated Nezu while gesturing Toshinori Yagi to stay behind.
"His physique is similar to the vigilante I saw 8 months ago. However, this boy seems vastly more skilled, more muscle, taller and a robotic summoning quirk. The vigilante did have a power to disappear.
Aizawa reviews the footage, and notices Midoriya's use of his quirk to seemingly teleport to robots in the exam was eerily similar to how the kid disappeared in a flash. I'll have to investigate this," thought Aizawa.
Midoriya Compound: 5 hours later. 5:30 PM
Knock Knock Knock Knock.
"Who's there?" questioned Inko as she opened the door. Creak. Creak.
"I'm a teacher for Class 1-A, and this is the principal Nezu. We're here to ask your son about his standing on his invitation to U.A," stated the homeless man in Inko's eyes. Inko had dropped down to the floor in shock and awe. She composed herself calling Izuku down.
"Izuku, there's visitors from U.A here," stated Inko as Hisashi enters the scene and accommodates the guests.
Little do Inko and Hisashi know, Izuku is out patrolling. Using the video and audio recording from his robotic mosquito the previous day, he'd knew some villains were planning to sell quirk enhancing drugs shipped from Shie Hissakai at 6 pm to the U.S by seashore.
"He might be training at Dagoma beach, he'll be back shortly" stated Hisashi as Aizawa questioned allowing Deku to use his quirk in public. However, Hisashi states he only does physical training for 4 hours a day surprising Aizawa.
Ring. Ring.
'Hisashi is calling Deku as Inko texts him worried sick. Deku is in the worst position possible as a Hero on I-Island'
"Fuck," shouted Deku seeing the text from his mom as civilians are crying, and you can hear Boom Boom Crash noises echo at I-Island.
Deku contemplates his situation, realizing he has to experiment mid battle.
"If my theory about D4C is correct, then I can bring an alternate version of me to this dimension. Only if I physically touch the alternate version of me, we both merge and get erased. Each version of me is a real person from another timeline. We each have our own mind, experiences, and powers. However, they should share the same goals and personality traits as me.
'Dimensional Hopping: Alternate Self.' A parallel version of Deku appears who we call Deku1."
"Hey, could you take care of the situation back home?" asked Deku, struggling with two supernovas of villains. Deku1 complied, stating, "Sure."
Deku1 had gone back to compound via dimensional hopping, and entered through the main door. Even before he opened the door, he'd knew what he'd say, and the looks of the faces on the visitors via his Dimensional Awareness.
Creak. Creak .
"Could we speak with him privately," stated Aizawa as Inko and Hisashi go upstairs.
"You can sit down, Midoriya. You're not in trouble," stated Nezu as Deku1 stood with his hands in his pockets
"I have other business to attend to, so I'll be blunt. You can't convince me to join U.A, and I'm never becoming a Hero through the normal means," stated Deku1.
"Heroes fight in the light. I'll fight in the dark, where heroes can't go."
Nezu felt unease.
"Aizawa was shocked. Not just by this proud statement, but by how accurately Midoriya predicted why they came, and his calm demeanor as if he expected them there. His eyes narrowed, suspicion clouding his expression as he silently tested whether the boy truly meant it."
"I guess it's our cue to leave," stated Aizawa with a Doakes stare on Deku. Nezu and Aizawa walk away before Hisashi and Inko could greet them out.
Tap. Thud. Tap. Thud...
The air stiffened as Aizawa momentarily stopped. Deku1 naturally assumed his stance, ready to activate D4C.
"I hope that statement was teenager delusion. If it wasn't, I'll have to take you down. We're not in the old age of quirks. Vigilantes are also considered villains," stated Aizawa as his hair monetarily levitated swiftly dropping as he headed back to U.A with Nezu.
"Why is a kid that young training like a soldier," thought Aizawa as he started to connect the puzzle pieces.
5:00 PM
Munch. Munch. Munch.
Deku had cleaned the crumbs of the burger on his mouth. He pulled down the face mask, and landed on a shipping crate headed to the U.S across the Pacific Ocean.
Through this event, he'd unlocked two crucial abilities from D4C.
This was Deku's hardest battle yet.
