The purple sun expanded to an extreme and then it stopped.
All light quickly disappeared. When everyone's vision returned to normal and they saw the situation on the field, everyone's pupils slightly contracted.
The vast battlefield was empty, and in the chaotic void, only a huge elliptical light mass with a diameter of tens of kilometers remained. This light mass was enveloped by countless dense, materialized lightning and flames, like a purplish-red cocoon. Something seemed to be gestating within it, and the sound of a heartbeat could be heard, emitting a trace of destructive aura.
Everyone looked around blankly, trying to find the Alien Beasts, the Level 13 General-level Alien Beast, and Lu Sheng's figure. But apart from the light cocoon in front of them, there was nothing else.
The white-haired man squinted his eyes, staring at the light cocoon for a while, then slowly put away the long blade in his hand. With a casual wave, he released a gray-white energy that enveloped the light cocoon. Then he said lightly to the crowd behind him, "Let's go, we'll talk back at the base."
The crowd hurriedly responded and closely followed him as he flew back. Along the way, they gazed at the quickly healing and restored Broken Void around them and the huge purplish-red light cocoon above their heads.
Everyone felt as if they had been separated from the world. Everything they had experienced before, now that they thought about it, was like a dream. If it weren't for the many companions they had lost, and many people still carrying injuries, whether light or severe, they would almost not believe that it had truly happened. Bizarre, absurd, and unforgettable.
The group followed the white-haired man, dazed, for an unknown period of time, until one of the two Guides suddenly spoke, "We've arrived."
The crowd looked up and realized that they had finally, in a true sense, arrived at this so-called Interdimensional Battlefield. What first appeared before their eyes was an incredibly massive black conical building. Suspended in the void, extending unknown tens of thousands of kilometers up and down, like a colossal war fortress.
Countless spaceships and giant warships of various sizes were suspended around the war fortress. All of this was enveloped by a semi-transparent blue light membrane, giving off an incredibly shocking and magnificent feeling.
While the warriors were still immersed in the tremendous impact this battlefield base had on them, several spaceships had already flown out from within the light membrane, and warriors in combat suits, holding weapons, disembarked from the spaceships.
"Sir Haiji Dao!"
This group of soldiers first saluted and greeted the white-haired man, who merely nodded slightly and did not bother introducing the crowd he had brought back.
After a moment of consideration, he placed the huge purplish-red light cocoon he held in his hand in the area outside the light membrane and said, "Send two people to guard it."
After speaking, he directly stepped into the light membrane and disappeared in a flash. Two people from the base remained by the purplish-red light cocoon, while the rest quickly went to meet the many warriors the white-haired man had brought back.
What they would face next was a series of strict reviews and interrogations. Only those who fully passed would be qualified to enter the base; otherwise, they would only face two outcomes: forced return or complete exile in the interdimensional Battlefield.
---
Haiji Dao reappeared on that massive conical war fortress. The place was bustling with people coming and going. Everyone who appeared here had a minimum strength of Level 11.
As one of the few Level 13 powerhouses in this battlefield, the distinctive Haijii Dao was known to many. Along the way, people stopped and respectfully greeted him, "Sir Haiji Dao."
His expression was indifferent as he strode into the base fortress hall, then took the central circular elevator all the way down. Until the elevator stopped, what appeared before him was a spacious and bright hall, full of a sense of technology and futurism.
It was very quiet here, with only a short-haired girl in a white protective suit, with delicate features, sitting on a chair drinking something. Seeing Haiji Dao enter, she immediately stood up, somewhat surprised, and said, "Sir Haiji Dao, you're back so soon? I thought it would take at least seven or eight cosmic days... Had the new recruits already perished when you arrived, sir?"
"Where did you learn that new word, Marsha?"
Haiji Dao glanced at the girl and added lightly, "These people have been successfully brought back. I need to see the Star Elder now. Is she busy?"
The short-haired girl playfully stuck out her tongue and replied, "The Star Elder is inside, but I don't know if she's busy. I can report your arrival..."
"Hurry up." Haiji Dao urged, and then he casually found a seat in the hall and sat down. He did not wait long before the short-haired girl returned.
"The Star Elder is waiting for you, sir Haiji Dao."
He nodded, then strode towards the deeper part of the hall. Doors opened one after another along the way, and he walked all the way to a towering, massive metal door. When it slowly opened, what appeared before him was an incredibly spacious and empty room.
There was only one piece of furniture in the room: a huge metal long table that occupied almost half of the room. Sitting at the table was a six-armed giant, nearly ten meters tall, burly and majestic. She had six eyes, two of which were looking at Haiji Dao, and a low, majestic voice came from his mouth: "Haiji."
"Greetings, Star Elder Mokodo."
Haiji Dao respectfully greeted the six-armed, six-eyed giant.
The Hundred Great star district has two Star Elders: one governs the district itself, located within this universe, and the other one oversees the corresponding interdimensional battlefield. Their statuses are equivalent and their strengths are similar; both are Level 14 martial artists, super powerhouses of the starry sky who have comprehended Law domains.
And Mokodo was one of them. Whether in terms of identity, status, or strength, she was an existence Haiji Dao needed to look up to.
"As far as I know, you just returned from a mission..."
While she was speaking to Haiji Dao, the giant's other four eyes looked in different directions, and besides the two arms calmly placed on the table, the other four arms were also rapidly operating something on several virtual light panels in front of him.
Haiji Dao was accustomed to this and replied seriously, "I came to see you, sir, precisely because of this matter."
"Oh, is there anything special?"
Haiji Dao replied, "The one who attacked the new recruit team this time should be a minion under the Lord of Oblivion. I accidentally suffered its curse, which caused some deviation in time..."
"You couldn't save the people?" asked the giant while frowning slightly.
"No."
Haiji Dao shook his head and added, "On the contrary, Star Elder Mokodo. Not only have these new recruits returned, but the number of survivors is also far greater than we expected..."
"What do you mean?"
The giant's eyes showed some surprise. Haiji Dao paused slightly, then raised his head, looking directly into Mokodo's eyes, and said, "This group of new recruits received help from a Level 13 powerhouse who comprehended the Thunder Law. He killed that minion. By the time I arrived, the battle was already over."
"Level 13... Thunder Law?!!!"
As soon as Haiji Dao finished speaking, Mokodo's busy arms and eyes immediately stopped, her six eyes simultaneously fell on him, and her face showed a strong expression of surprise.
Her low tone rose. The sound from her chest echoed in the empty room.
"Haiji, are you sure it's a Level 13 who comprehended the Thunder Law?!"

Hundred Great star district aka Baida star district aka Hundred Great Star Regions district : see chapter 530
星長, xīng zhǎng: Star Elder - There is two "Star Elders" leading the star region, both Level 14 martial artists
摩科多, mó kē duō: Mokodo, one of the two Star Elders, she oversees the region's interdimensional battlefield where the action is located. There is more than one Battlefield between the two universes. I've decided to make Mokodo a she (why not) because there is a shortage of strong women in this universe.

Hundred Great battle district
Full name 百大战區 (traditional Chinese, 百大戰區), with 战 (戰), zhàn: battle
The same battle (zhàn) as in the interdimensional batttlefield
异空战场 (異空戰場), yì kōng zhànchǎng: interdimensional battlefield

Hundred Great battle district'sbase
Full name 百大战區基地 with 基地, jīdì: base (traditional Chinese, 百大戰區基地)

Haij aka Hagrid, Sir, Lord, daren
Members of the base (Level 11 and 12) address Haiji Dao (Level 13) politely,
骸極刀大人, hái jí dāo dàrén : Sir/Lord Haiji Dao - Let's keep sir Haiji Dao
Haiji Dao (Level 13) also addresses Mokodo (Level 14) in a polite manner,
摩科多大人, mó kē duō dàrén: Sir/Lord Mokodo - Let's keep Lord Mokodo
or 大人您, dàrén nín: Your lordship
Mokodo addresses Haiji Dao as 海格, hǎi gé. Hmm, there is a lot to say about this. First, 海格 could be translated as "Hagrid" since it is the first name of Rubeus Hagrid (鲁伯·海格, lǔ bó · hǎi gé), the tall Harry Potter character. Second, 海格 means big frame, which fits Rubeus Hagrid and might imply that Haiji Dao is also a big guy. But also, with regards to this story, the pronunciation of 海格, hǎi gé, is similar to that of 骸極, hái jí. So... I'll translate it as just "Haij", to indicate that Mokodo is addressing him with a nickname and not just his last name or first name. I won't use Hagrid which seems a bit far stretched, since I didn't spot any indication that Haiji Dao is particularly big and tall.
.
About Mokodo's full military rank/title: Haiji Dao and Marsha say
總星長, zǒng xīng zhǎng: Overall Star Elder
I decided to simply go with "Star Elder", and I might later decide to change Mokodo's title for another one, either a grand one like "Overall Star Elder", a fun one like "zǒng xīng zhǎng", or a military one like "Battlefield Commander", "General" or "Grand Marshall". Some raw MTL versions say "Star Chief", I'm not a fan.
The bottom line is, in this battlefield, on the human side, there is one level 14 martial artist (star elder Mokodo) and a few level 13 martial artists (including Haiji Dao).

Lord of Oblivion
A very strong alien beast, a level 14 commander.
