Chapter 107 - Chapter 107: Shuchong Tang Sect

Chapter 107: Shuchong Tang Sect

It was unclear how much time had passed, but the eagle slowly stopped flapping its wings and landed outside the Star Dou Forest.

The two girls seemed unaware that they had left the danger behind. They knelt on the ground, staring at the forest for a long time without saying a word.

They seemed to be waiting for that familiar figure to appear.

Tears continued to fill their eyes, no matter how much they wiped, they couldn't seem to get rid of them.

A long, long time passed.

In the gaze of the two girls, that figure finally appeared, trembling as it entered their line of sight.

Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu felt a rush of excitement and rushed towards it.

"Brother!"

"Ning Bei!"

The words got stuck in their throats and couldn't come out. They clutched their mouths in agony.

They saw that Ning Bei's left arm and right leg were completely gone. His entire body was covered in gruesome wounds, with blood gushing out from the gashes.

Ning Rongrong's heart shattered as she rushed to her brother's side, unsure where to touch him.

"Brother, wuwuwu..."

Ning Bei's mouth struggled to form a slight smile as he looked at the two girls, whose faces were tear-streaked.

"Alright, you're safe now."

After speaking, it seemed as if all the strength had drained from him, and he collapsed.

Xiao Wu quickly came to his side, supporting him and letting him rest on her leg. Her eyes glared fiercely towards the forest.

"I won't let that evil dragon get away with this. When Da Ming and Er Ming come back, I'll make sure they get what they deserve."

Then, she looked down at Ning Bei, tears welling up in her eyes. Even though his blood had stained her clothes, she didn't care.

"Ning Bei, you'll be fine, don't scare Xiao Wu!"

Ning Bei gave a bitter smile, his voice faint.

"Don't be sad, as long as I can see both of you safe, I'm already happy. From now on, you both must train hard and avenge me."

Hearing Ning Bei speak as if he were making his final wishes, Ning Rongrong let out a heart-wrenching cry.

"I won't accept it, Brother, you won't die! We'll train hard from now on, you can't die!"

Xiao Wu quickly nodded, indicating that she would train hard too and not slack off anymore.

"You both promised, right? If you go back on it, you'll have to swallow a thousand needles."

The two girls didn't notice the sly smile on Ning Bei's lips, still caught up in their grief.

Outside of the illusion, Ning Bei shook his head, amused. He had put in so much effort, hoping they would understand the importance of cultivation.

Then, he turned his attention to Tang San, who was close to reaching the exit of the Star Dou Forest in the dream. He looked relaxed, as if he had already escaped danger.

"Hmph, the birth of a strong person always comes with sacrifices. I'll remember you all."

As he looked back at the forest with a mocking expression, a giant shadow appeared in front of him, causing his heart to skip a beat.

It was the 100,000-year-old Earth Tyrannosaurus, now looking at Tang San with a cruel expression.

"Dammit, you bunch of useless fools. You couldn't even delay its steps? No, I can't die here. I'm almost at the exit."

Thinking this, Tang San hastily urged what little soul power he had left and sprinted toward the exit.

But at his current speed, he stood no chance against the 100,000-year-old soul beast. In just a few steps, the Earth Tyrannosaurus blocked his path and swiped a claw at him.

Tang San could only watch as the Earth Tyrannosaurus's claws pierced through him, regret filling his heart. He should never have listened to the Master's nonsense about coming to this damned academy, or else he wouldn't have ended up in this situation.

Blood slowly dripped from his body, and Tang San felt his eyelids growing heavier until all light faded from his vision.

"I wonder if I'll get another chance at life."

Time passed, and Tang San slowly opened his eyes again. The familiar yet strange ceiling immediately made him sit up in shock.

"Is this... the Tang Sect?"

At that moment, Tang San realized that his body had changed. His hands had become much smaller, and when he looked at himself, his eyes widened in shock.

"Did I return to being six years old? Is this the time when I just joined the outer sect of the Tang Sect?"

Tang San was puzzled. He had clearly been killed by the 100,000-year-old Earth Tyrannosaurus in the Star Dou Forest. Was everything in the Douluo Continent just a dream?

He tried to summon his Blue Silver Grass martial soul but felt no response. Slowly, he began to accept that he had returned to the Bashu Tang Sect.

Anyway, in the Douluo world, his father had already abandoned him.

Just as he was about to try cultivating the Xuantian Gong, the door to the room suddenly opened, and the current sect leader, Tang Yun, walked in.

"Xiao San, you're still not awake?"

"Sect... Sect Leader?"

Tang Yun furrowed his brow when he heard Tang San's words.

"Sect Leader? Did you forget that I accepted you as my disciple yesterday? You should call me Master!"

"Ah?"

Tang San stared blankly at the elder in front of him. When did you take me as a disciple? Did something go wrong?

"Ah, what's this? I see your talent is good, so I took you as my closed-door disciple. Are you already trying to slack off on the first day?"

Tang San, still in shock, pointed at himself.

"Are you sure you didn't make a mistake?"

"Hmph, if you don't want to, I can take back my decision."

Seeing Tang Yun starting to get angry, Tang San quickly suppressed his doubts. No matter what, being accepted as an inner sect disciple of the Tang Sect and the sect leader's disciple meant that he would no longer have to make dark weapons in secret. He could also openly practice all the inner skills and martial techniques in the Xuantian Baolu.

He decided to get through the situation first.

"No, Master, I must have been confused. I'll get up now and train properly."

Tang Yun nodded in satisfaction.

"Did you remember everything from the Xuantian Baolu I taught you yesterday?"

"I've remembered everything, Master. It's all second nature to me now."

"Hmm? I only taught you once, and you're sure you've memorized it all?"

After hearing this, Tang Yun's face showed slight displeasure, feeling that Tang San might be lying, trying to avoid being reprimanded.

Tang San clearly saw what Tang Yun was thinking and quickly bowed.

"Master, if you don't believe me, you can test me."

"Hmm, recite the Xuantian Baolu. If I find out you've been lying to me, I'll have you face the wall for punishment."

"Yes, Master."

Tang San didn't dare delay and immediately began to recite the Xuantian Baolu he had practiced in both lives.

"General Principle: First, never let someone you can't trust know your true strength."

"Second..."

"Lastly, the method of capturing: Control the crane to capture the dragon, use four ounces to deflect a thousand pounds, and turn attack into nothingness."

Tang San recited the Xuantian Baolu from the general principle to the techniques, pointing out the cultivation methods and key points, then looked at his master expectantly.

Tang Yun stroked his beard, his eyes filled with some surprise. He had only taught him once, yet the child not only memorized everything but seemed able to apply it as well.

"Xiao San, your talent is indeed extraordinary, but don't get too proud. You must work hard to cultivate, understand? Whether the Tang Sect can return to its peak depends on your efforts."

Tang San's heart surged with excitement upon hearing these words. Now, he could finally openly promote the Tang Sect's secret skills.

"Yes, Master. I will work hard to cultivate the Xuantian Baolu and study the methods of creating various hidden weapons."

"Hmm."

Tang Yun nodded in satisfaction and then left Tang San's room.
