Ten days after Nirvana.
"Chelsea has signed the Striker Pedro from the UCL winning Barcelona"
Mateo leaned against the pillow on his hospital bed, reading the Mundo Deportivo Sport.
A news channel also showed some fleeting news about Kaka.
On August 18, 2003, Kaka arrived in AC Milan as the best newcomer in South America. In six years, he became the star player of this world-class powerhouse, leading the team to their seventh Champions League title in club history, and personally winning the Ballon d'Or, the highest individual award in football.
On June 9, 2009, Kaka joined Real Madrid for a transfer fee of 65 million pounds, enduring a not-so-successful period. Finally, this summer, he returned to Milan, the city where he achieved fame and success.
Later in 2013 he returned to San Siro, After all, Kaka's career at Real Madrid had been on a downward slope. This return was not a glorious homecoming, but rather a return home to heal after enduring many hardships.
In the next year transferred to MLS team Orlando then was loaned to Sau Paulo and after coming back from loan to Orlando he retired in the year 2017.
Because of Kaka's miraculous, Nirvana-like experience, Lucia, a staunch materialist, even became a believer in her previous life. It was just a pity that God did not seem to have received her prayers. Although Mateo in her previous life did not become a vegetable or need a wheelchair, he completely bid farewell to a normal life.
Because of the fleeting mention of Kaka's name, Lucia remembered that recently she had actually started to explore these things. Now, looking at Kaka's slightly weathered photo on the news channel, and then at Mateo, who seemed perfectly fine, she couldn't help but whisper, "Is it really that miraculous? Did God really answer my prayers?"
Mateo immediately felt a headache coming on.
Mom, please don't be like this, I'm afraid the system will misunderstand…
"What does God have to do with it?" Mateo shook his head. "Don't you remember that someone in Argentina went to visit our household and on reaching there he saw that our house had burned down luckily we did not store anything precious there otherwise we would have suffered a heavy loss."
"Thank you, to the old house," Mateo said in his mind, "R.I.P to our ancestral house."
Lucia remembered the shock she felt when she received the news.
Mateo said it seems that bad luck that we experienced that time now is being balanced by the good luck that i am facing now.
Lucia also wavered. "Then should we go back and pay our respects to the ancestral household?"
"We should go back."
"I'll go too…"
As the three of them talked, Dr. Rodrigo's voice suddenly grew louder as he approached.
"How is this possible?
This is a miracle!
A medical miracle…"
He jogged to Mateo's hospital bed, looked at the X-rays in his hand, then at Mateo, his voice even trembling slightly, "Child, you absolutely won't believe what has happened to you…"
"Uh, a miracle?" Mateo put down the newspaper. "I just heard you."
Although Mateo and Lucia already knew that Mateo was getting better, and could even be said to have fully recovered, it wasn't until they heard Michel's words that they truly felt relieved.
Thank you, Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma…
"Yes, a miracle!" Rodrigo held up the two films in his hand. "This one is from a week ago, and this one is from today. I simply can't believe it's the ankle of the same person."
"Please don't make me take another one," Mateo straightened his ankle. "My body tells me I'm great now… Do you want me to run for you?"
"Damn it, this is not the time for you to show your humor? I don't appreciate it at all," Rodrigo was still a bit frantic. "I'd rather believe the one from a week ago was taken incorrectly…"
"But all I care about now is when I can be discharged?"
"If the diagnosis is correct, you can be discharged now, but I recommend you stay for a while longer, hmm… after a month."
"One day, no more."
"At least fifteen days, I still need to observe you!"
"Okay, ten days."
"Fifteen days! This is for your own good!"
"Five days," Mateo decided, "It's still better to be cautious."
"Five days it is…"
So, three days later, Mateo happily left the hospital and returned home.
The medical expenses were naturally fully covered by the club. The kid he collided with in training, however, was perfectly fine and had already returned to report.
It was just a normal physical confrontation. Looking at Mateo's injury resistance, which didn't even meet the passing line, it was clear that no one else could be blamed.
His parents had already returned to their home country to pay respects to Great-Grandpa. Mateo rested at home for two days before returning to the club.
FC Barcelona's youth team and senior team share the same training base, the famous Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training facility in Sant Joan Despí, and are currently competing in the Spanish Youth League and Spanish Youth Cup.
Mateo was the team's substitute striker. He had just been promoted from U17 to U19 this season, but before he could play a single match, he got injured during an internal team training session, which was incredibly unlucky.
In fact, based on the potential he had shown, even without this injury, he wouldn't have made it at FC Barcelona. His fate was to muddle through in a lower League or even a sub-lower League.
Now, of course, everything was different.
Nirvana healed his injuries, the Van Basten template transformed him, and more importantly, with the system's blessing, his future was limitless, clearly destined to be a King of Football.
Vice-president Jordi Mestre, Football Area Technical Commission, naturally welcomed his return with open arms.
It wasn't that he desperately needed this player, but if a young player were to suffer a serious injury during team training that ended his entire career, it would severely impact the reputation of the team's youth academy.
"You can rest for a while longer," Jordi said casually, "Matches are important, but players are more important. Your health is the club's greatest asset."
"I have fully recovered. In the words of my attending physician, Mr. Rodrigo, I am as strong as an ox now."
Jordi looked at his somewhat slender frame and did not comment on Mr. Rodrigo's words, but he still agreed to Mateo's request to rejoin the team.
"Then go ahead, but if I'm not mistaken, it might be a long time before you can return to the field," Jordi said, "unless you can first get Mr. Pruna's approval."
Dr. Ricard Pruna, AC Milan's medical director.
He also welcomed Mateo's return, then carefully reviewed his diagnostic report, and finally nodded.
"You still need some rehabilitation training before you can return to the field," Pruna said. "With some luck, perhaps you can even make it for the El Clasico?"
Both Clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona arranged a friendly match before the start of the youth League. The match was scheduled to take place exactly 5 days later. At that time, he would at most have resumed ball training and might not even make it into the squad list, but a smile slowly bloomed on his face, "My luck has been pretty good."
