The Fernandes mansion buzzed with laughter, perfume, and panic. Jay's room looked like a beauty salon collided with a tornado β€” dresses hanging on the cupboard doors, lipsticks rolling off the dresser, Gemma holding a curling iron like a weapon, and Jeana β€” Jay's mother β€” perched like a queen with a makeup brush.

Jeana: "Sit still, Jay. I said still!"

Jay groaned dramatically. "You've been saying that for thirty minutes. I'm starting to see stars."

Jeana clicked her tongue. "Beauty takes patience."

Jay muttered, "Or torture."

Gemma chuckled quietly from behind. "You look beautiful already, . Let your mother play stylist for one night."

Jay gave a small smile. "Only for you, Auntie. If it were anyone else, I'd have run away."

The room door creaked, and Aries walked in adjusting his cufflinks, his usual calm, cool expression softening when he saw Jay. "Wow," he said, whistling. "Who are you, and what have you done with my sister?"

Jay smirked. "Your horoscope says today you'll meet someone better looking than you."

Aries laughed. "Liar. I read mine. It said I'll babysit a dramatic sloth all evening."

Jay grinned. "That sounds about right."

Jeana rolled her eyes. "You two never stop."

Before either could respond, Jeana's boyfriend Andy entered, his cologne strong enough to choke a flower. He smiled awkwardly. "You both look amazing! Jay, that red dress suits you."

Aries: "Oh great. He's here."

Jay: "Yay… another one."

Andy smiled awkwardly. "Wow, both of you look so grown-up!"

Jay smiled politely. "And you look… shiny."

Aries coughed, hiding his laugh. "Like a disco ball."

Jeana shot them both a warning glare. "Be nice!"

As Jeana helped Jay fix her hair, she said proudly, "You look just like me when I was your age."Jay muttered, "Hopefully not the decision part."

When the makeup was finally done, Jeana stepped back proudly. "There! My beautiful daughter is ready for her prom."

Jay looked at the mirror β€” red dress, light makeup, hair in soft waves. She looked stunning, but her eyes softened only when Gemma smiled and said, "My tomboy turned into a queen."

Aries, now dressed in a dark blue suit, leaned against the door. "So, Popeye, what do you think? Handsome?"

jay make weird frown face "who is handsome here i cant find ??"

aries "your majesty pls do the honor of telling how your kuya looks"

Jay smiled faintly. "My kuya is looking dashing.just dont tell percy i said it "

Aries' usual teasing look faltered for a moment β€” his eyes softened, glistening slightly.

He smiled crookedly. "You too, piggy."

Jay laughed. "Piggy? Out of all nicknames?"

Aries shrugged. "You earned it."

As Jay fixed her earring, Aries asked, "So, are you going with me? Ella's waiting downstairs."Before Jay could answer, a deep, confident voice came from the door.

"No need, brother-in-law."

A familiar smooth voice followed from the doorway."No need, brother-in-law. I'm taking my wife to prom myself."

Jay's head whipped toward the door β€” Keifer, dressed in a perfectly fitted black suit with a red tie, leaning casually against the frame, his smirk dangerous and smug.

Aries scowled. "She's not your wife."

Keifer chuckled. "Yet."

Jay blushed, glaring. "Keifer! Don't start that here."

Jeana gasped softly, Gemma snorted, and Andy blinked in confusion.

Keifer grinned. "Ready, Mrs. Watson?"

Jay rolled her eyes but smiled anyway. "You're impossible."

Keifer: "You love that about me."

But before either of them could argue more, Jay's mom appeared again and smiled. "Aww, you two look adorable together!"

Aries grumbled under his breath, "Of course she'd say that."

The ballroom glowed with golden lights, music floating through the air, couples laughing and clicking photos. Sec E entered like they owned the night β€” confident, loud, and somehow still charming.

Jay, in her red gown, walked beside Keifer. His jacket was on her shoulders; his black cap rested loosely on her head. They looked like a mix of trouble and royalty.

Rory whispered, "They look like a power couple straight out of a movie."Felix added, "A dangerous one."

Keifer leaned down slightly and whispered in Jay's ear, "Everyone's staring."Jay smirked. "Then let them learn what royalty looks like."Keifer chuckled. "That's my girl."

The DJ called, "First dance, everyone!"

Keifer immediately extended his hand. "May I, Mrs. Watson?"Jay smiled, taking it. "Don't step on my dress."Keifer: "Can't promise."

They moved to the center as slow music played. Keifer's hand was on her waist, guiding her gently. Jay's hand rested on his shoulder β€” but her heartbeat wasn't listening to the rhythm.

Keifer's voice was soft. "You look beautiful tonight."Jay: "You said that five times already."Keifer: "Because you keep proving me right."

She rolled her eyes but smiled anyway.

Then came the partner switch β€” every girl was passed to another boy.

Jay ended up with Yuri. He gave her a small, gentle smile β€” the kind that carried old memories.

Yuri: "Vice President, it's an honor to dance with the SLC's President."

Jay laughed. "You mean the other way around. You're President."

Yuri: "Not tonight. Tonight, you're the one everyone's eyes are on."

Jay laughed slightly, rolling her eyes. "Flattery detected."

Meanwhile, keifer was dancing with another girl, but his eyes β€” only searched for Jay. When he saw Yuri's hand linger a second too long, his jaw clenched.

beside him. "Relax, guard dog."

Keifer muttered, "She's mine."

Rory grinned. "You sound like you're about to declare war."

Keifer: "If I have to."

When Jay switched partners again β€” this time with felix, who spun her dramatically on purpose β€” Keifer stood up halfway from his seat.

edrix: "Down, boy. It's just dancing."

Keifer: "He spun her twice."

edrix: "So what?"

Keifer: "I'll spin him off the floor."

Eventually, Jay was back in his arms, and Keifer's expression finally softened.

Keifer: "Only when you smile like that at other guys."

Jay crossed her arms. "Says the man who was almost drooling over Miss Blue Dress."

Keifer leaned closer, whispering, "I didn't even hear her name."

Jay glared. "Good."

Later, the two sat on the stairs near the refreshment table, sharing fries and milkshake. Jay kicked her heels off, sighing in relief.

Jay: "Finally. My feet are dead."

Keifer chuckled. "You should've worn sneakers."

Jay: "At a prom?"

Keifer: "You'd still look better than everyone here."

He dipped a fry in ketchup and held it out. "Say ah."

Jay gave him a flat look. "I can feed myself."

Keifer: "I know. But I like doing it."

She rolled her eyes but leaned forward, biting it. "You're annoying."

Keifer smiled. "You like me annoying."

Jay blushed and turned away. "Keep talking, I'll throw this milkshake."

Yuri's phone buzzed β€”[Message: Plan starts in two days. Be ready.]

He looked at Jay β€” laughing, stealing fries from Keifer's plate, glowing under the bar's dim lights β€” and his smile faded slightly.

Keifer noticed him looking and casually wrapped his arm around Jay's shoulders, pulling her closer.

Jay blinked, surprised. "What are you doing?"

Keifer whispered, "Reminding everyone you're mine."

Jay rolled her eyes but didn't move away. "You're ridiculous."

Keifer smiled. "Maybe. But I've never been happier."

When the clock struck midnight, Sec E's chaos instincts kicked in.Mica shouted, "Prom's over! Time for the real party!"Freya added, "Let's hit the bar outside town!"Rory: "Now you're speaking my language."

jay nodded. "We'll go. Percy and Honey will meet us there."Grace excused herself β€” she had to take care of Grazel β€” but the rest piled into cars, laughter echoing in the parking lot.

Jay was tired yet excited grinning in Keifer's car, head against the window, red gown glimmering under streetlights.

Keifer glanced at her, then smiled softly. "Even when you're tired, you're beautiful."

Aries' car pulled beside his, window rolling down.Aries grinned. "You better not kidnap my sister."

Keifer: "Too late, she's already my passenger."

Aries: "Don't test me, Watson."

Keifer: "Wouldn't dare, brother in law ."

Inside, Jay mumbled sleepily, "Stop fighting… both of you sound like uncles."Keifer laughed quietly.

When they reached the bar outside the prom area, neon lights reflected in puddles. The whole of Sec E spilled out of their cars, energy still buzzing.
