Chapter 1 - Epilogue; Part 0

Cardinal, a vague yet common word in the world today, isn't it? Well I'm here to tell you the story of how a man called Harry Gyomun changed his fate and that if the world forever.

Harry Gyomun, born in South Africa in 1876, had a light and joyful childhood growing with his mom, Helen Gyomun, who lived as a modern day missionary at the church of Cape Town at South Africa's coast.

Harry spent his younger years enjoying his childhood with his friends and mom at the church and his teenage years studying at Marianhill Mission Station and Catholic schools.

Harry after finishing his high-school immediately made a letter for scholarship to Hardvard University and got accepted due to his outstanding performance especially in all his arts and some science subjects and in 1 year he was to set off to Hardvard in the United but in that same year a tragedy befall his mother who caught a terrible illness and passed away on September 1st 1895.

Harry after the funeral, was devastated but, not beyond repair because one thing he always recalled his mom telling him was "The only thing that can't be reclaimed in this world is life, so always cling onto yours and be cautious of it". So he then decided not to think of his mom's lost life but of the best future had ahead of him now that his mom was in a safer place.

And so a year later on January 2nd 1895, the day of his birthday he left Cape town on a bot taking college students to their respective destinations.

On the way, he met a man called Chad Hoisting who was about a year older than and they both seemed to have similar preferences and ideals such their love for exploring and the ideals of physics which of course meant that their friendship was sealed.

Within a few hours, the students arrived at the United States and took the school's buses which were 14 in number with a capacity of 25 passengers each and 11 out of 14 of the buses had passengers.

The buses set off to Hardvard University and in 3 hours they arrived the soon the freshers of Hardvard University arrived, some looked shy some excited to finally get schooling over with and others neutral about the experience and soon a 3rd students one male and another female arrived and guided the freshers to their respective dorms.

By luck Harry and Chad were rookies along with another guy called Josh Yermit. As time moved on the three got to know each other well though Josh was social butterfly of the squad and the other two were introverted geniuses.

Harry and Chad though introverted both had their preferences but different because Harry had taken physics, geography, environmental science and archaeology while Chad had taken physics and environmental science.

Soon enough, the students who had taken geography and physics were required to go on field trips so as to embrace and learn new things about nature and of course this opportunity was highly taken and registered students went up to 107 students who were going.

On the first day, all the students and 5 teachers had boarded 5 buses in total and set off to see the Hardvard Forest and its beauties.

When the students had got off the buses everyone set out to take pictures with their friends and take pics of the trees, the birds and different animals in the forest but unlike the rest Chad and Harry had their own plans ventured deep in the forest trying to see who find the most interesting animals.

As they were searching in the forest, Chad found a preying mantice that was red in colour and had double the number of forelegs and he immediately took a picture of it and ran to show Harry of his unique findings.

Harry who was in the deep North-eastern parts of the forest also on something interesting.

It was a tree..., but no ordinary tree indeed it had yellow, blue, green and white leaves and it was strangely wide in fact and a mere 6.5 feet tall, with a hollow right at the centre of it with a hole in the middle of the tree so Harry didn't waste any more time and immediately took a picture with his camera but, when he was getting the photo it was... blank!!! He pondered upon this sight.

So he immediately adjusted it an took three more pictures all more plain than the last. Harry who decided to check the weird tree felt a monstrously high pressure on his body the moment he touched the tree's bark which caused him to immediately kneel and cower in sweat. But, at that moment he looked up at tree and saw a blue light in the hole of the mysterious and it glowing brighter and brighter until it shone and cover the whole North-eastern area of the forest.

Harry was not scared, in fact, with an un fased look on his face he reached out for the brightest point of the light and said" Boy have i made a hell of a discovery....".
