Strolling through Orange Town at an unhurried pace, Arthur kept his eyes closed, immersed in his inner world.
In his mind, a panel of light displayed his attributes.
It had been half a year since he arrived in this world. From the initial panic to slow adaptation, Arthur had finally shed his old self; calm now showed on his handsome face.
Arthur was not his original name. He was a transmigrator.
There had been no bizarre accident. He simply fell asleep, and when he awoke not only was he in the world of One Piece, even his body had changed.
As if a generic background character had suddenly switched into a legendary skin.
That skin was Arthur Pendragon from FGO—the "Prototype Saber"—and Arthur was more than satisfied.
With the "Arthur Pendragon" template came three Noble Phantasms.
But that template wasn't his only cheat; the real one was a game-like system with no will of its own.
Right after crossing over, at the most dangerous moment, he killed a thug with a knife in a surge of anger, and the system activated.
Arthur could feel it clearly—the three Noble Phantasms sleeping within him.
For now he could only call forth Excalibur. The other two would awaken only after completing their related achievements.
Those achievements pointed a direction to the confused Arthur then, giving him a goal to chase.
Now, that goal was the Buggy Pirates who had seized Orange Town.
Using Observation Haki and Instinct (A), Arthur had pinpointed the Buggy Pirates' location the moment he stepped into town.
It was worth noting: because of Mana Burst and Instinct, three months ago Arthur had unexpectedly awakened this world's essential power system—Haki, the capital one must have to survive in the New World.
What surprised him was that, after awakening the two colors of Haki, the system quantified them and assigned tiers.
In three months he had pushed both from F to E.
"…There."
Arthur suddenly opened his eyes and halted, watching the road ahead with interest.
"You damn cat burglar—stop right there!"
"Nope! Who says I have to?"
With those angry shouts, several figures rounded the corner at a sprint, chasing and being chased, rushing straight toward Arthur.
The one being chased had short orange hair and clutched a scroll-like map, a teasing smile on her face—Nami.
Running in front, Nami noticed Arthur: arms folded, calm as if watching a play. Her eyes lit up.
"Boss, I swiped the thing and handed it off to him!" She darted behind Arthur's back, half her face peeking out as she made a mocking face at the pirates.
"So that's it. Kid, you're the one pulling the strings?"
Her words and actions were flawless, and the pirates believed it at once.
A panting pirate rolled up his sleeves and sneered at Arthur.
"Did I just take someone else's scene? Is this my Luck stat at work? Then today… E to EX?"
Arthur murmured to himself, not at all bothered by being used as a shield. His fair right hand reached out, closing around an invisible blade.
A breeze brushed his cheek. Nami, who had planned to slip away, saw the thing in Arthur's hand—wind you could see, a weapon you could not.
"Wind… could it be…?" Nami covered her mouth, staring at Arthur in shock.
"The blond boy who holds the wind…"
Not just Nami—those pirates with slightly better brains saw what he held and their grins twisted into fear.
Swish—
Raising the Sword of Promised Victory, Arthur swung hard as their faces froze.
A golden arc of sword pressure tore forward.
No True Name Release of Excalibur. No Mana Burst. Not even the power of Invisible Air.
This was the pirate world's combat grammar—flying slashes.
The King of Knights possessed peerless sword and spear techniques.
Upon awakening Excalibur, Arthur also inherited the King's swordsmanship experience. Even so, when the system assessed him, his swordsmanship was only C+.
In this world, great swordsmen can unleash slashes with tangible substance—slashes that can hew mountains, split sky and sea.
Having grasped this world's swordsmanship, Arthur could send out three kinds of slashes, making him an unusual swordsman.
One kind used Mana Burst, compressing mana along the blade to fire a wave of sword pressure. Another gathered spirit and will to produce the flying slash unique to this world.
The last was the True Name Release—his trump card, Excalibur.
PS: Invisible Air as a Noble Phantasm actually fits Rhongomyniad better—the kind you drive straight through with a thrust.
