The atmosphere around me was densely packed with dark black color. It looked as if it was putting me at the cage.
At the time when I saw it I was shocked and terrified to my bones.
There were only 12 accidents like this happened in the past. Those were awakening of 12 previous Calamities.
Originally it happened first with The Calamity of Beginning. However people thought it was first and last time ut would happen and forgot about this aura.
The next time when The Calamity of Sin of Lust awakened with same phenomenon people were caught of guard. They could do nothing to Second Calamity. Only thing left was to just watch her awaken and spread Calamity over world.
Learning from their mistakes The Empress of Humanity gave permission to establish law where any awakened with same phenomenon would be killed on the spot.
Still after this law was established humanity was able to damage and slow down progress of Calamities. They weren't able to kill them.
So, according to the rules I right now have to kill myself or other would have to do it right now. 'No, no, no. I don't want to die.' taking breath and viewing and evaluating my surroundings I continued my thinking 'I have to live even if for a bit. I need to live for them' after this though formed his cheeks were wet by the tears. His eyes were now blurry. The reason was his tears. Glimpse of hope, desperate denial of reality and sorrow with despair were written blankly in his face.
Observing everything Bretal was desperate. His face was pale as if he just died in most horrible death. His pupils were as small as ant. His legs and hands shook intensely. Suddenly he started laughing. It wasn't laugh of joy. It was protective mechanism of brain. When too much negative feelings emerge brain will fight back by making person laugh so it can reduce those emotions.
Bretal never thought that this child will turn out to br a Calamity. 'It is just dream. Am I right? Right now I will awake from this nightmare and start my day. Right. Right?' Even after seeing that orbs broke apart emitting a dark aura surrounding him he just can't accept it. His consciousness was fighting himself. He spent roo much time with Loneil. He was like father to Loneil and Loneil was like a son to him. Father who cared for his son couldn't kill him. This father was Bretal.
Whole chaos unfolded Icarus stared at his friends his face holding disbelief and self-doubt. Icarus watched with his now hollow like eyes as assistants rushed to the door trying to save themselves and report his best friend. Like Bretal Icarus was deeply attached to Loneil. He couldn't stay still in this situation. He knew he will be imprisoned if he helped Calamity to escape. However, Loneil wasn't Calamity for him. He viewed him as best friend still to this moment and best friends would never betray each other. Soon he bagan acting.
Beach and Light were too stunned to speak or move for the moment. They were actually couple so they right now were as close as they can while protecting each other. Their mind raced as soon as they saw movement from Icarus. They were weak for now. Especially Beach with her newly formed core. Right now, she could be killed easily with some effort. Even after that she stayed in front of Light protecting him. He was most dear to her. He was about to awaken and new Calamity can kill both of them. Light on the other hand was frozen in place he felt as if his body was frozen in moment and the next his entire body felt as if he was burning in fire. It felt too real he felt each of his nerves burning slowly as he fell right into floor screaming in pain.
Finally out of daze Loneil felt surge of power and something intense in his body. His heart and higher part of his chest felt strangely tense. It was as if he formed not one but two cores.
The impact of explosion produced was phenomenal. It instantly made church crumble in pieces as people gathered around chruch started running out of the impact crazily pushing each other a d even abandoning others in danger to escape this predicament. After dust calmed down it revealed children, woman and some man who was crushed by the debris. Their intestines, blood, flesh, brain matters scattered like explosion occurred at parts of their body boulders and rocks crushed. It was terrifying.
Pushing people out knights moved fast and collectively sealing of where church collapsed and other areas where collapse caused destruction of other buildings. Ones in chruch side were ready to fight in formation. The other in collapsed buildings were helping people to evaluate from area.
Everyone was informed that Calamity was awakened. This information caused huge commotion and people were now running to the horses and other transportation methods as they can. Some people used this situation as opportunity and stole from markets and homes. While least of them started killing and raping each other. It was total chaos. The duke of town was almost dead from the explosion after debris almost hit him going inch out of reach from him. His wife however couldn't escape fast and was crushed into meat paste in her husband's own eyes. It made duke enraged as he ordered knights to kill Calamity even if killed them. Her daughter beside was traumatized. She was crying profusely while trying to assemble her mother back from her corpse. She as other people couldn't accept reality.
Reality in contrast didn't care. It made everyone remember how life was at times of war. Increasing appreciation of peace by hundred fold in them.
Right now, when little remaining dust calmed down they saw a priest lying on ground smashed by boulder. Near him Loneil crying over his death. Beach and Light were almost crushed if it were now to Beach forcefully activating her core to limit saving them from bring of death.
'I did it' Icarus thought as he fell into ground with loud noise. His whole figure looked weak and fragile. Like he was in brink of death. Pure golden like blood was pouring from his wings while from his body a normal dark red blood was dripping to his clothes.
When he looked up to see his friend tears dropped to the ground. His expression tensed and his mind raced as thoughts emerged and died out. Out of them one of them stood out. 'Bretal?!'
In the direction he was looking Loneil stood his eyes in tears his breathing fast. He was crying. He stood untill it hit him and the next moment he tried to rescue Bretal. Because, everything happened fast Loneil was too slow. Not only that but also the information that he was Calamity made his mind to stop working for a few seconds. At that time the building collapsed so while, trying to save Loneil Bretal discarted his own life and pushed Loneil to safety.
Icarus who was observing all of this couldn't help but try his best to stand up. However, he didn't had strength to do it. Everytime he tried to stand up he would fall. It happened because his body underwent transformation minutes ago. It still wasn't complete. Another point was that he protected Loneil from collapse of building with his body which left deep wounds ,even broken bones. With all of it his body was utterly wounded and exhausted. It was as if newly born bird tried to fly or fight against snake.
Meanwhile, in the side sand spears rapidly fell into ground while Beach and Light stayed close to each other to avoid falling stones and other stuff. Their hair was mess. They were all over covered in sand.
Light suddenly at that time went out. Beach near him reacted in time and caught Light. Unconcious Light in hands of Beach started giving a faint light from it's body.
Icarus and Beach both noticed it as their eyes widened in horror.
Light was about to awaken his core. This might bring more destruction to the site and possibly kill them. Icarus immedietly shouted at only one who didn't pay attention to Light "Loneil. Run it is dangerous to stay here!".
Loneil who tried everything he could sat at ground his expression hollow. As if he was nothing but a toy. His whole figure looked as if he was extremly tired. His posture was bend towards forward. His hands stayed motienlessly at sides unable to do anything. His legs bend. His whole face, around his throat and his clothe were a bit wet by the tears.
In his mind everything flashed before his eyes. His whole life was before him as he observed it.
In same church they were in previously with lighter colors and fewer details child stood looking in interest. It was Loneil. In his youth he was curios one. All the time he would escape from daycare and go round town exploring unknow locations to him. His trip would mostly end up with knight finding him after some time or with interesting discoveries which trilled Loneil.
In front of church several guards stood unyielding looking at front of them occasionally stopping people and inquiring them about their stuff or purpose of visit. Other than that people often visited church to atone for their sins, daily prayers or to listen to the holy book named "Light and Darkness" which collected in itself information about ancient times, core, Gods above and sins which should not be commited with vurtues which should be pursued by the people. Loneil himself was interested in holy book. So, to get there he figured out he had to sneak in.
In front of him woman was going to the church and so waiting for the moment Loneil rushed swiftly and tried getting inside church while guards were busy asking her. However, the next moment he got caughtand heard his name. "Loneil! Loneil! Loneil!" guards said as Loneil got dizzy and his eyes went blank.
Finally, shouts from Icarus got Loneil out of trans like state.
He hurriedly looked at Icarus and at his surroundings. RIght behind he saw that light from Light grew rapidly. Beach who was was holding him firmly had tears in her eyes as she was murmuring to herself something. In the settling dust Loneil saw thing that made his face go back.
