And now, Ethan Black was telling him that items like the King's Rock could also be used as evolution items!

Since Slowking was now part of his team, he needed to know him thoroughly.
Besides, the role Shellder once had in the group would have to be reorganized now that he had evolved into Slowking.
"Slowking, show me the moves you currently know."
Ethan Black quickly pulled out of his backpack the training notebook that had belonged to Shellder, opened it to a new page, and spoke.
"Yadon!"
Slowking nodded with a goofy expression.
His eyes glowed, and a psychic wave projected toward Ethan Black, turning into a warm current that flowed throughout his body.
"This is Heal Pulse?"
"What a comforting feeling..."
Ethan Black half-closed his eyes, showing an expression of enjoyment on his face.
In the games, the move Heal Pulse restores half of the target's maximum HP. But in reality, perhaps because it was a Psychic-type move, its main effects fell on the mental plane.
After receiving the healing, Ethan Black felt clear-headed and mentally refreshed.
"Very well done, Slowking."
He praised him with a smile and recorded the move in the notebook.
"And this is the move Power Gem?"
After the move Heal Pulse, Slowking made several sharp stones appear floating around his body: it was the Rock-type move Power Gem.
Soon, at Ethan Black's request, Slowking displayed all the moves he knew. In addition to the previous two, he mastered: Hidden Power, Curse, Yawn, Tackle, Water Gun, Confusion, Slack Off, Water Pulse, Amnesia, Psychic, Teleport, and Mud Sport.
Of these, Curse, Yawn, Tackle, Water Gun, Confusion, Slack Off, Water Pulse, Amnesia, Psychic, Teleport, and Mud Sport were moves he had already used as a Slowpoke. The moves Heal Pulse, Hidden Power, and Power Gem were acquired after evolving.
It is worth noting that Slowpoke's Hidden Power turned out to be Dark-type. Ethan Black didn't know if this had any relation to the Dark Energy that had controlled him during evolution.
After all, the move Hidden Power had been learned precisely during the fusion process with Shellder to become Slowking, while still under the influence of that dark force.

After examining Slowking, Ethan Black directed his attention to the Shellder that remained on Slowking's head.
The Pokémon blinked and began to display its own moves.
With the evolution into the spiral shell form, many of its abilities had disappeared: it could no longer use Water-type moves nor retain its Overcoat ability.
However, perhaps thanks to his enormous psychic power, the Psychic-type moves were still intact!
Immediately, Shellder used the moves: Barrier, Rest, and Psychic-type Hidden Power.
Moreover, his already strong mental power had grown even further.
Now, when deploying the move Barrier, the effect was much more solid: he could even withstand Sandslash's attacks without difficulty!
The Psychic-type Hidden Power, which before barely resembled the move Confusion, could now be condensed into something similar to the move Psychic.

"After fusing with Slowpoke, Shellder still maintains considerable battle capability."

Ethan Black was left stunned by the confirmation. His eyes sparkled with excitement: in this form, Slowking was much stronger than an ordinary one.
