Chapter 6 - 6

At this moment, Times Square had descended into chaos.

The surrounding crowds were in a panic, with congestion and screams spreading everywhere.

The police patrolling Times Square also noticed Max's actions.

"Send a team to the south corner of the square," the police officer urgently called for backup while simultaneously beginning to evacuate the crowd.

"Sir, remove your hands from the cables, quickly, please raise your hands," a short, stout police officer shouted at Max.

Max, who had just successfully mutated, finally stopped his actions after absorbing a large amount of electrical energy, and the surrounding streetlights flickered continuously due to the unstable voltage.

Max heard the police officer's command, slowly raised his head, revealing his face beneath the black hooded sweatshirt. Under the ample electrical energy, his face shimmered, appearing even more menacing.

When the short, stout police officer saw Max's strange appearance, his heart skipped a beat, and he instinctively drew his gun and pointed it at him.

"Stay where you are, don't move, lie on the ground," the stout police officer shouted, waving his hand to signal his colleagues to surround him.

"No, no, I didn't mean to! I, I..." Max's face was tense, showing a hint of fear.

As he spoke, he backed away towards the sides of the road, looking lost and helpless.

But just then, a truck suddenly rushed towards him from the street, hitting Max. His face startled, and he instinctively raised his hands to block in front of him.

"Zzzzz!" A purple current erupted from Max's hands, directly enveloping the oncoming truck and lifting it up in an instant.

"This..."

Looking at the truck he had lifted with disbelief, Max's heart suddenly panicked, and he quickly threw the truck aside. The truck fell to the ground, sliding several meters before coming to a stop.

He had no idea what was happening to him, but he felt he should leave here.

Max began to back away continuously, retreating step by step.

However, he wanted to leave, but the surrounding police wouldn't let him. The arriving backup had already arrived, and the speeding police cars surrounded the panicked Max.

"Get down immediately, get down immediately," the police shouted.

"Don't do this, this isn't my fault, please, don't do this," Max explained in a panic, but his appearance made the police even more cautious.

Among the crowd, many people saw Max's strange face and gasped, making Max's heart even more chaotic.

Flashes of light occasionally went off, and cameras had somehow started filming him.

And on the advertising screen on the tall building in Times Square, Max's figure appeared.

"It's me, people are noticing me, they see me, they see me."

At this moment, he also noticed himself on the advertising screens of the surrounding buildings. Looking at the dazzling, shining figure on the screen, Max felt a surge of excitement.

He, Max Dillon, a talented and capable electrical engineer, had always been ostracized, always mocked and ridiculed.

The attention he had always craved had finally arrived before him at this moment. No one knew how much he longed to be acknowledged and noticed.

Even at this moment, facing the guns of all the surrounding police officers, the joy in his heart surged like a tide.

"Get down immediately."

One of the police officers took out tear gas and threw it at Max.

"No, don't do this, I don't mean any harm, please, I beg you, don't do this," Max quickly snapped back to reality, looking around, extending his hands and pleading in a panic.

"Get down!" The police didn't care and roared.

"Don't do this, this isn't my fault,

This isn't my fault."

Max shouted loudly, but no one paid attention to his words. The surrounding police still aimed their guns at him, constantly telling him to get down.

"I said, it's not my fault, you guys... stop!"

The long-suppressed anger finally exploded. Max roared, waving his hands. A huge electrical shockwave spread out from him as the center. The police cars surrounding him were instantly thrown far away, and the surrounding police officers were also blown away by the huge impact.

Police cars crashed onto the road and against building walls with loud bangs. Occasionally, one would hit the crowd, causing panic and even more chaos. One police car flew through the air and fell directly towards a police officer.

"No!" The police officer's face was terrified, and he shouted loudly, his heart falling into despair at that moment. Just then, a figure intertwined with red and blue appeared.

"Hey, buddy, looks like you owe me a favor."

Spider-Man appeared in front of the police officer at that moment, holding up the falling police car with one hand, while not forgetting to tease the police officer who had fallen to the ground.

Meanwhile, Max was in a bad situation. Because he had just successfully mutated and gained superpowers not long ago, he didn't have good control over his abilities. He became excited and released electricity erratically, naturally attracting firepower from all the police officers.

However, bullets had no effect on him. Currents wrapped around Max's body, and the incoming bullets were entangled by the current and instantly destroyed and disappeared.

"All officers, cease fire, follow my command, repeat, cease fire, follow my command."

The police officer saved by the little spider was clearly an officer. After he shouted, all the police officers stopped attacking.

The little spider put down the police car, leaped up, and landed on a police car.

"Stop, stop!" Max was still raising his hands to protect his head, panicking.

"Hey! Shiny guy!" The little spider's teasing voice attracted Max's attention.

"Hello?!"

"It's you!" Max's eyes widened, as if he had seen a savior, overjoyed.

"Yeah, it's me, you are..." With this shiny appearance, the little spider clearly couldn't recognize who this person was.

Max looked excited and couldn't help but take a step forward. Instantly, he stepped into a puddle on the street, and streams of electricity immediately sparked in the water.

"You don't remember me?"

"I've seen you?"

"I was almost hit by a car when I was walking on the street, and you held me, you saved me, and you said you needed me," Max said happily.

"You're... the one holding the blueprints." The little spider had a good memory and remembered after being reminded.

"Yes, the one holding the blueprints." Max's voice was hoarse, and he looked even more excited.

"Of course I remember you, you're my eyes and ears." The little spider relaxed, jumped off the police car, and walked towards Max.

"Uh, what was your name again?"

The little spider scratched his head, looking like he was thinking, but these words sounded a little different to Max.

"How could you forget me?" Max's tone became agitated.

"Oh, I remember, I remember, don't tell me." The little spider covered his head and turned around, trying hard to think.

"My name is Max."

"Right, your name is Max, I remember!" The little spider said with a sudden realization.

"Yes," Max said.

"Sorry, I didn't remember you for a moment." The little spider said apologetically, trying to stabilize the situation.

"What's... wrong with you, buddy, you know, I mean, how did you turn out like this? You look... pretty!"

The little spider felt that the matter was perfectly resolved, and his talkative nature kicked in, making him unable to resist asking questions.

However, he didn't know that at this moment, on a building on the street, a sniper had already aimed at Max.

"I don't know either." Max was very confused. He tried to recall, only remembering that he felt like he had been electrocuted and fell into the bio-electric energy pool, and then...

He couldn't remember anything else.

"I know, I understand. But man, you look really cool like this!" The little spider's tone was friendly, and he started chatting with Max.

"My body feels strange, I just feel full of power, full of great power." Max looked at his hands wrapped in current, his expression lost in fascination.

And at this moment, Li Yue finally arrived at Times Square.

"Quite a lot of people!"

Slightly frowning, Li Yue gently waved his hand, and instantly, an area of several hundred meters was enveloped by his mental power, falling into his illusion domain.

"Excuse me!"

He spoke lightly. As Li Yue spoke, the surrounding crowd automatically parted, creating a passage. These people had all been hypnotized, so they were very obedient.

Of course, this hypnosis was only temporary; he didn't have the ability to hypnotize so many people for a long time right now.

Walking through the crowd, Li Yue quickly arrived at the center.

As he looked, he saw a group of police officers, a blue energy man, and a red and black clad Spider-Man.

"Spider-Man, and, Electro Max! Oh, there's a sniper on the building a hundred meters away?"

Li Yue raised an eyebrow. Within the range of his mental perception, everything was clearly visible, and the hidden sniper naturally couldn't escape his notice.

"In the movie, it seemed to be this sniper's shot that caused Electro to be stimulated and go berserk, and then he was defeated by Spider-Man and started down a dark path!"

"This sniper, go to sleep!"

He lightly snapped his fingers, and instantly, the sniper hidden between the floors rolled his eyes and fell unconscious.

"These police officers, all enter my illusion!"

With a cold laugh, Li Yue didn't want to be entangled with these police officers. Being entangled with these guys before had already annoyed him to death.

His target was Electro, and Electro was currently very sensitive and absolutely could not be stimulated by these guys.

As for the little spider, well, Li Yue indicated that his ability was insufficient and he couldn't hypnotize him, so he could only let him be.

With everything handled, he raised his feet and walked step by step towards Electro and the little spider.
