I turned around from the floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking my city that I had built slowly over the last decade, I cannot help but to feel somewhat proud, as long as no child has to go through what I did... I thought. I then spotted my trusty Demon Lord butler Diablo still on his knee showing an awe filled expression.
I then speak "Rise Diablo" when he is finally on his feet he then asks me "Your Excellency, if I may, what is the plan for that little King and his kingdom, the dungeon is way too valuable resource wise to give up." I nod slowly as I stand there, with perfect posture, etiquette class from my academy years seems to have turned me into the perfect noble, I muse, as I quickly remember that little street urchin, I cant help but smirk a little, it comes and goes within a millisecond. However Diablo caught it 'What is my Master thinking of again, he seems to be in his own world sometimes' I look over to Diablo and answer evenly, "I have a plan to deal with that King and gain the Dungeon for my city of Luminosity, do not worry yourself Diablo, all is under my control." As I finish replying I start to walk out of the Grand Hall as Diablo quickly falls in a step behind, as we arrive at the huge double doors of the room Diablo quickly comes in front of me to open them.
What greets me is a long hallway with huge canvases portraying battles of old and triumph, as I walk down the hallway, slowly but measured, I look at each of them and I cannot help but think 'these paintings still inspire me and drive me to continue on the path to power' there was always something about seeing images depicting past great mages and grand mages of old that always drove me to reach them, and then surpass them all to reign supreme. All the way back when I was just an orphan, a street urchin, with nothing, even when all I had to my name was awakening great talent and a rare affinity for light - when I first saw these paintings in the academy, I knew one day I would reach their level and that day when I did, I would take the paintings for myself by any means necessary, as a sort of triumph of my own, as a way to conquer. People may think this mindset is ridiculously stupid, however to me its the kind of mindset that allowed me to reach to where I am now.
We make a way to the end of the hallway and start our journey to the teleportation gates within my palace, as we walk through the hallways maids and servants pass us, they quickly move to the side and drop to one knee as they pay their respects. I ignore them and continue.
We arrive at the gates and I am greeted by its controller, a wiry older human gentleman who is only a senior mage rank, Diablo moves forward and addresses him to open the gate. I get Diablo to call for a handful of my elite guard all in the Lord realm with the captain a King realm mage. All of them in royal gold robes with a special alloy chest plate with the emblem of my house emblazoned across it. A golden, orange fiery sun. After, we step through the gate, to our destination the Kingdom of Telfordia.
