"Are you looking for this?" Sabrina's voice came.
Natsume turned and saw a chibi version of Sabrina standing on her shoulder.
The instant their eyes met, the little chibi Sabrina instinctively hid in her hair.
"Huh?" Natsume exclaimed, quickly pulling out his phone, opening a scanning app, and pointing it at the chibi Sabrina.
**????** The Pokédex showed nothing but question marks.
At the same time, the system's voice echoed in Natsume's mind:
**New Pokémon species discovered. Begin system analysis?**
*New species?*
Natsume froze for a moment, then agreed instinctively.
**Scanning this world… 1% complete. Unable to locate data. Scanning parallel worlds… Data found!**
A transparent window appeared before his eyes:
[Mimidoll]
[Type] Psychic/Ghost [Description] Born within a Psychic's Inner Realm, it likes to inhabit dolls, often taking on the appearance and habits of its trainer.
Natsume frowned.
*Mimidoll?*
He immediately thought of Banette—a pitiful abandoned doll that, under rare circumstances, becomes a Pokémon.
But in most cases, Banette is born from Shuppet evolving.
This so-called Mimidoll sounded very similar to that rare natural occurrence.
"One comes from resentment… the other from emotion?"
Natsume scooped up the chibi Sabrina, who panicked, shrieking as she bit his finger.
Natsume shoved his finger further, jabbing her throat.
*Cough! Cough!*
*Hah, trying to bite me?*
Did it not realize how many Pokémon bit him daily back at Professor Oak's lab?
"That Pokémon!" Seth Kenshin leaned closer, his eyes filled with shock.
"Old man, you know it?" Natsume asked.
"Nope." Seth shook his head.
Natsume: "…"
"But it does resemble what's written in my family's secret manual about a Psychic manifestation."
"Manual?" Natsume suddenly leaned in, staring suspiciously at him.
"Uh, well… I can't hand that down to outsiders. The one I gave you really was all the Psychic training methods except for the secret manual."
Seth stammered, clearly flustered.
"Let me see it." Natsume reached out.
"No way, really… it can't be passed to outsiders." Seth's face twisted in conflict.
He added, "Besides, even if you read it, it's useless. A Psychic manifestation can only be formed at the peak of the Inner Realm stage. Without a manual, you'd still naturally condense it once you reach that level."
"Is that so…" Natsume glanced at Sabrina.
Given her years of cultivation, it wasn't surprising she could form a manifestation.
"Here." Sabrina suddenly spoke, handing Natsume a booklet.
"What's this?" Natsume blinked.
"My family's secret manual." Sabrina smiled faintly at him.
"???" Seth stood frozen, eyes wide.
"Father, didn't you say that if I met the right person someday, I could give them the manual? I think Natsume has great talent."
Sabrina tilted her head, looking at him strangely.
"Little Sabrina, I meant…" Seth was utterly at a loss for words.
"Thanks!" Natsume waved at Sabrina, then recalled Dragonite. Sitting atop Gengar's head, he flew away from the gym.
"Natsume! You fixed everything?" Ash ran up excitedly.
"It's handled. I'll head back to the Pokémon Center first." Natsume nodded to the group.
"Alright, in that case, I'm going to challenge Miss Sabrina again!" Ash declared, dashing off toward the Saffron Gym.
"I want to see what the normal Miss Sabrina is like too!" Brock said excitedly.
"Hey, wait up!"
Shaking his head slightly, Natsume led Giselle back to the Saffron Pokémon Center.
Once inside his room, Natsume immediately pulled out the so-called family secret manual.
**Telekinesis Incarnation**
The manual was thin; in less than an hour, Natsume had nearly finished reading it.
*So humans really are a type of Pokémon too?*
He sat there, dazed in thought.
A Pokémon born from the human mind… by classification, Natsume felt that Banette should count as a Phantom Beast type.
ITS rarity was far too high!
Among humans capable of reaching the pinnacle of the core realm with psychic powers, wasn't Sabrina the only one?
Natsume dropped the idea of writing a paper on the spot.
A new Pokémon species had to be an entire group, not a lone individual.
Such an extremely rare case could only be classified as a Phantom Beast and recorded in the Pokédex.
*Ding!*
[S-Rank: The Reversed Curse]
[Subject] Sabrina's Doll [Reward] Master Ball Scratch Card ×1
Just as Natsume sighed, the system's voice followed.
He scratched the Master Ball card.
*Ding!*
**Congratulations, you've opened a Master Ball scratch card and obtained a Master Ball ×1!**
*Another guaranteed prize?*
Well, that was fine. At least he now had two Master Balls. When it came time to research Master Ball Rotom, he could afford to scrap one.
For now, his experiments with Ultra Ball Rotom already consumed dozens daily.
If that were Master Balls instead, the cost would be unthinkable.
"Ugh, I'm beat!" Natsume collapsed onto his bed.
He'd been through a lot these past few days. Now he needed rest to properly digest it all.
As for using psychic power to inscribe advanced Pokéballs—there was no rush. The road ahead was still long.
By evening, Ash and his friends returned to the Pokémon Center.
Seeing Natsume fast asleep, none of them disturbed him and quietly went back to their rooms.
The night passed without incident.
That night, the people of Saffron City all breathed a sigh of relief.
The terrifying Gym Leader had suddenly undergone a drastic change in personality, even hosting a Gym exhibition battle at Central Park.
Reporters, on the other hand, were left frustrated.
*Damn it! No big scandal had happened at all.*
Fine, they would just have to focus on Team Rocket—that was the only way to outcompete their rivals.
Overtime, late nights, rush!
...
**The next day, inside Team Rocket's base**
"Phew~" Giovanni sat back on the sofa, sipping his hot coffee.
"Boss!" his secretary entered, handing him a newspaper.
"What is it?" Giovanni reached for it, curious about what major news might have broken, but the secretary quickly lifted it before he could.
An awkward look flickered across her face.
"Uh, Boss Giovanni, I think I just caught a glimpse… this paper has some rather offensive content."
"Offensive? Hmph!" Giovanni sneered, taking another sip.
"I want to see what kind of *offense* this is."
Thinking someone was trying to stir up trouble for Team Rocket through the media, Giovanni snatched the paper from her hands.
Right there on the front page, in bold headline letters:
**Giovanni Caught Sneaking Into an Old Man's House at Night—The Shocking Reason Revealed!**
"Pfft—!" Coffee sprayed across the pages, staining them yellow.
The secretary tilted her head toward the ceiling.
She had already warned him not to look.
And that wasn't the only one—there were plenty more just like it.
**Team Rocket Executive Caught Robbing Saffron Gym at Night—Rumors Say Giovanni Withheld Wages, Forced Into Desperation!** — Kanto Economic Review
**Sabrina's Lover Turns Out to Be a Team Rocket Executive!** — Kanto Gossip Weekly
**The Real Reason Giovanni Prefers Male Secretaries Revealed!** — Kanto Rich List
Giovanni: "???"
*What kind of nonsense is this?*
Besides, hadn't his secretary always been a woman?
"Utterly deranged." Giovanni lowered his gaze, a chilling light flashing in his eyes.
Though he couldn't meddle with the larger media outlets, making an example out of a few smaller ones to warn the rest was well within his power.
Suddenly, his eyes froze on one particular photo.
In the image, a Team Rocket executive was bent over, climbing through the skylight of the Saffron Gym.
Giovanni frowned.
So the media weren't just pulling wild accusations out of thin air.
"Find out which executive this is."
"Yes, Boss."
The photo was blurry, and Giovanni could only make out the general outline.
