"Huh? That's it? That was way too easy..." Casphian muttered in disbelief.
"It has to be the work of the System." he wondered. "Unless I'm some once-in-a-lifetime genius at magic."
Shaking his head, Casphian decided to memorize the rest of the fire spells listed in the

"Heh... that was easier than I expected." Casphian leaned back with a faint smirk.
[ 12:16 AM ]
Glancing at the clock, he closed the book. "I guess I'll head to bed and hit the training center tomorrow."
He didn't dare cast a spell indoors. A single mistake could set the entire house ablaze. With that thought, he lay down, deciding to get an early start the next morning.
"29 more days before the exam," he murmured as he drifted to sleep.

Casphian slowly opened his eyes to the sound of his alarm.
[ 6:30 AM ]
He got up, took a shower, and ate instant noodles for breakfast. By around 7:10 AM, he was ready to head out-but decided to use the Universal Roulette before leaving.
'Roulette.'

"System, I love you!!" Casphian was overjoyed. This was exactly what he needed-no more hassle of carrying around a heavy backpack
It took him a few minutes to figure out how to use the ring. Once he did, he stored the

With that settled, he left the house and flagged down a taxi. After a minute, a gentle-looking old man pulled over.
"Young man, hop in," the driver smiled. "Where to?"
"The training center," Casphian replied as he climbed inside, checking his status window on the way.
"So early in the morning? Young lads are diligent these days," the driver chuckled. "You taking the Magic Exam next month?"
"Ah, yes. I hope I'll pass."
"Hehe. Do your best," the driver encouraged.
"Yes, thank you," Casphian answered with a nod.

'Hmm... I'll save the stat points in case something unexpected happens.' Casphian had no idea which stat to improve, and for now, quest rewards seemed to be the only way to earn more.
After a short ride, the taxi arrived at the training center in the middle of the city. Casphian paid the fare and stepped out.

Inside, the center was already bustling with students. Casphian walked up to the counter.
"How much is the cheapest room, miss?"
"250 Credits per hour." the clerk replied.
"Two hours, please."
After typing on her computer, she slid over a scanner. "Scan this, please."
<500 Credits have been deducted from your account>
Once he paid, the clerk handed him a key card. "Room 14, left side. Yours for the next two hours. Thank you for your purchase."
Casphian took the card and headed down the hall.
The room was slightly larger than his bedroom- its empty except for a few training dummies and targets.
"Ha... I can finally try some magic." Casphian stretched his arms and stepped forward.
Without wasting a second, he visualized the magic circle in his mind, gathering mana into his palm before aiming it at one of the practice dummies.
'Fireball!'
A fiery sphere instantly formed and shot toward the target.
Boom!
The fireball struck, leaving only a faint scorch mark on the surface of the dummy.

"Oh! So that's how spell mastery increases." Casphian's eyes lit up with excitement.
For the next hour, he fired spell after spell until all four of his Tier 1 Fire Spells reached E+ mastery, his fire affinity advanced to rank E+, and he gained a good amount of stat points.

After a while, Casphian sat down and skimmed through the
"Magic revolves around mana and imagination... what if I combine some modern ideas into it?"
Excitement surged through him as he stood up again to test his theory. At this time, Magic Theory revolved solely around the idea that the amount of mana poured into a spell determined its destructive power.
'Visualize burning. A flashpoint is created-and when oxygen is added, it induces combustion.'
'Take a mixture of oxygen and hydrogen. Encase it within a partition of air, and at the moment of impact, ignite it from the flashpoint.'
Casphian aimed at the dummy once more. This time, a brilliant blue flame erupted from his palm.
Boom!!!
The flame struck, reducing the dummy to dust. A crater scarred the floor beneath it, while the nearby dummies erupted in flames.
"HAHAHAHA! It worked!" Casphian's triumphant laughter echoed across the training room.
His theory had been proven right-but then reality hit him. How was he going to explain the wreckage to the clerk?
"Eh... I guess I'll just stick to the normal spells for now..." Casphian scratched his cheek with an awkward laugh. He set the problem aside for later and kept training until his time ran out.
For the remaining forty minutes, he practiced refining his control. He even managed to double-cast the same spell with each hand, though none of his spells leveled up further.

When his time was up, Casphian walked back to the counter and handed over the key card. He scratched his head awkwardly.
"Uh, miss, I might've caused a bit of a mess in the training room."
The clerk gave him a quick side-eye and sighed. 'What kind of mess could he possibly have made?' she thought.
"Don't worry about it. We'll send someone to check it later," she said dismissively.
Casphian opened his mouth to explain further but decided against it. 'I guess it's fine. Thank god.' He smiled, bowed slightly, and left. "Thank you."
On the way out, he stopped by the nearby Magical Library to browse spell books before buying some groceries.
...
About half an hour later, another student requested the cheapest training room.
But when he opened the door, he froze. The floor was cracked, dummies reduced to ash, and targets charred beyond recognition.
He stormed back to the counter.
"Hey! Room 14 is wrecked. I want another room, or at least a full refund!"
The clerk frowned, glaring at him, but the number rang a bell. Room 14... the boy from earlier.
Reluctantly, the clerk handed over a new key card. "Take Room 18. If it's no good, we'll refund you."
The student snatched it and left, still grumbling.
Suspicious now, the clerk decided to check Room 14 herself. When she opened the door, her eyes widened in shock.
Even low-tier rooms like these were built to withstand Tier 2 spells. Yet the floor was split open and the dummies completely obliterated.
Her face darkened. "That brat... Did he intentionally book the cheapest room just to destroy it? Don't tell me he can already use Tier 3 magic?"
Her anger boiled at the thought of being tricked, misunderstanding Casphian's real situation completely.
