[Five years after Kozuki Momonosuke's birth, Kozuki Oden and Lady Toki welcomed their second child into the world. This time, a little princess graced the Kozuki bloodline. The couple named her Kozuki Hiyori.
Compared to her brother's legendary life trajectory—conquests, political mastery, reshaping an entire nation—Kozuki Hiyori's existence as someone who also bore the Kozuki name would become a source of shame for the clan. Historical evaluations of her proved overwhelmingly negative, brother and sister forming a perfect control group that illustrated the extremes a single bloodline could produce.
If Kozuki Hiyori weren't Kozuki Momonosuke's biological sister, history would barely have recorded this woman at all. Even as a princess of a sovereign nation, she would have merited perhaps a single line in history books—the same cursory acknowledgment given to countless other princesses across the seas who left behind no specific deeds worth remembering.
Although Kozuki Hiyori earned recognition as the most beautiful woman in Wano Country, she simultaneously gained infamy as the most promiscuous and dissolute princess in the nation's relatively short feudal history. The historical accounts didn't beautify her image—one could only imagine how much worse the unvarnished truth might be.
Her promiscuity and dissoluteness weren't mere slander or exaggeration. Reliable historical records documented the facts with uncomfortable specificity: after Kozuki Momonosuke reclaimed Wano Country from the Beast Pirates' occupation, Kozuki Hiyori maintained over thirty male favorites simultaneously within the newly constructed Princess Palace. The number of male servants attending to her personal needs proved countless, a rotating stable that scandalized even Wano's more liberal-minded citizens.
One of the princess's favorite catchphrases, recorded by horrified court officials, became: "If you're a man, you should want to sleep with me."
Despite such vulgarity—or perhaps because of it—later generations praised her as "the first person to liberate sexuality" in Wano's conservative culture. The moral relativism was stunning. One could only conclude that societal standards had degraded considerably, that people's hearts no longer held the same values as previous eras. Some modern ideas proved disturbingly open by historical standards.]
[The Sky Screen displayed images contrasting the siblings: Momonosuke in military regalia commanding armies, Hiyori lounging among her male favorites in scandalous dress. The visual juxtaposition emphasized how two people from identical blood could diverge so completely.]
[Despite their eventual estrangement, the Kozuki siblings grew up together and shared a genuinely close relationship during childhood. They experienced the period when Kozuki Oden descended into his mad behavior—dancing naked in the Flower Capital, abandoning his responsibilities. They suffered together through those humiliating years, bond forged through shared trauma.
After Kozuki Momonosuke successfully reclaimed governmental authority, he rewarded his sister generously for her hard work and significant contributions to the restoration. He even commissioned construction of a grand Princess Palace specifically for her residence—an unprecedented gesture in Wano's history.
Throughout Wano Country's long existence, although the Shogun's daughter received the honorary title of "princess," her actual dignity ranked far below that of the Shogun's sons. Before General Kozuki Momonosuke's reign, no Princess Palace had ever existed in Wano.
Princesses of all previous generations had simply lived within the Shogun's mansion alongside other family members. After all, Wano Country embraced a culture that valued males over females—women's status naturally ranked lower than men's. This gender hierarchy persisted even in later eras despite superficial reforms.
Once Kozuki Hiyori moved into the dedicated Princess Palace, all subsequent princesses of the Kozuki family followed in their ancestor's footsteps. The Shogun's daughter finally possessed her own mansion and surrounding lands, supported by subjects under her direct rule. She effectively became a large landowner, wielding local authority that sometimes rivaled regional daimyo.
Yet somehow, impossibly, the two siblings became complete strangers to each other in later years. Their bond shattered beyond repair.
This estrangement related directly to the Kurozumi clan's machinations. Perhaps many events were predetermined from the very beginning, destiny's wheels turning along tracks laid before anyone involved drew their first breath. What belonged to you was yours from the start; what didn't belong would eventually be lost even if temporarily possessed.
Although the Kurozumi clan successfully stole the Shogun's position for decades, even producing formidable individuals like Kurozumi Orochi, ultimately the historical tide favored the Kozuki clan. In the end, they had the last laugh—though the cost proved higher than anyone anticipated.
Images of young Kozuki Momonosuke appeared on the Sky Screen, his childhood face already displaying the perverted tendencies that would define part of his character. At this innocent stage, he and sister Kozuki Hiyori still ran freely aboard the Whitebeard Pirates' flagship Moby Dick, unaware of the dark futures awaiting them both.
His legendary life would begin from these humble origins...]
-Real World-
Wano Country, Shogun's Residence
Kurozumi Orochi sat in the outdoor courtyard, staring up at the Sky Screen with profound confusion written across his features. His hatred for the Kozuki clan burned stronger than anyone else's—yet the broadcast had described him as a "tough guy sent from heaven by the Kurozumi clan."
Wasn't "tough guy" supposed to be a compliment? A term of respect?
Yet it felt awkward when applied to himself. Kurozumi Orochi excelled at scheming and enduring humiliation, operating through manipulation rather than direct confrontation. Was this villainous image truly suitable for the "tough guy" label? The cognitive dissonance troubled him.
The Shogun's personal ninja retainers—the Orochi Oniwabanshu—observed their master with newfound perspective. Kurozumi Orochi possessed a fat head and oversized ears, presenting an appearance that screamed "corrupt official" rather than dignified monarch. The inappropriate crown perched on his head only emphasized the mismatch. He had absolutely nothing in common with the typical "macho man" impression.
Fukurokuju, captain of the Orochi Oniwabanshu, hurriedly spoke to ease the increasingly awkward atmosphere. "The General displays wisdom and courage beyond measure. Now that we possess information about Kozuki Momonosuke from the Sky Screen, we can monitor subsequent broadcasts closely. When the time comes, we'll eliminate the Kozuki remnants as swiftly as possible. Wano Country will belong to Lord Kurozumi forever."
Having a subordinate particularly skilled at flattery proved useful. Kurozumi Orochi shamelessly accepted the praise without hesitation. For him, as long as the Beast Pirates remained powerful, he could continue his comfortable lifestyle—music playing, women dancing, wine flowing without end.
The lecherous Shogun grabbed his favorite courtesan, pulling her close with possessive familiarity. But today the beautiful woman seemed abnormal—she didn't display her usual enchanting smile. Instead, her face remained cold, occasionally breaking out in anxious sweat. Kurozumi Orochi couldn't identify how he'd offended this particular woman, but out of genuine affection for his favorite prize, he began coaxing the top-ranking oiran. He showered her with attention in front of his subordinates, attempting to restore her good mood through public displays of favor.
The "Komurasaki" oiran had witnessed the broadcast's historical assessment of her future self. Words like "promiscuous" and "dissolute" applied to describe a woman, especially a woman from conservative Wano Country, represented the heaviest possible condemnation. It was ultimate humiliation, leaving absolutely no dignity for the Kozuki princess.
Kozuki Hiyori never imagined she would earn such terrible infamy in the future.
The woman desperately wanted to know what would happen in the years ahead—what events could transform a devoted sister into the dissolute monster the Sky Screen depicted?
She felt profoundly wronged. Smiling before others while enduring constant humiliation for years, playing the perfect courtesan while secretly working toward the Kozuki restoration—wasn't all that sacrifice worth something? Hiyori glanced at Kurozumi Orochi beside her, tears gathering at the corners of her eyes despite her best efforts at control.
It seemed everything she'd gained by debasing herself might prove completely worthless. Perhaps it had been meaningless from the very beginning, not worth the effort of her brother moving a single finger. All her careful scheming, all her degrading performances—pointless theater that history would condemn rather than celebrate.
At this moment, the woman felt something fundamental break inside her chest. The belief that had sustained her through years of living as a courtesan began cracking apart like fractured pottery. Kozuki Hiyori suddenly realized she'd been living like a joke all these years—a cosmic punchline at her own expense.
The Komurasaki oiran's tantrum and tears distressed Kurozumi Orochi considerably. He kept attempting to comfort her with increasing desperation, so focused on his favorite woman that he failed to notice his subordinates' suspicious behavior. In front of the Shogun, members of the Orochi Oniwabanshu were quietly discussing the ninja revelations among themselves.
Kurozumi Orochi, somewhat addled by feminine charms, regarded the Kozuki clan as his greatest enemy—yet didn't mention a single word about the Uchiha clan that had suddenly appeared in the broadcast. Even if he wanted to deliberately avoid acknowledging that particular threat, the connection proved unavoidable. Both dojutsu clans originated from Wano Country. Anyone with curiosity would investigate the history of these mysterious bloodlines.
The Hyuga clan and Uchiha clan both wielded dojutsu abilities, both possessed powerful bloodlines, yet despite their different political positions, both met identical fates—swept into unknown history hand in hand, erased from public record. The parallel tragedies made thoughtful observers sigh with regret.
The legendary ninja Uchiha Madara earned tremendous respect from Wano's ninja community, particularly from specialists like the Orochi Oniwabanshu. He'd demonstrated strange yet formidable eye techniques, profound mastery of transformation jutsu that could alter appearances convincingly, and space-time ninjutsu similar to teleportation. This ancient figure had revealed only the slightest fraction of his capabilities, yet completely conquered Wano Country's modern ninja practitioners through that limited display.
Critically, the Sky Screen didn't identify Uchiha Madara as a Devil Fruit user. The techniques he'd employed must be genuine ninjutsu—the lost arts of Wano Country that had faded from practice over centuries. The ninjas represented by the Orochi Oniwabanshu eagerly anticipated future broadcasts that might showcase additional wonderful ninjutsu techniques.
As for the Uchiha bloodline—that race born with innate eye techniques—information about them began spreading widely across the seas. Unpredictable ripple effects were already unfolding in response to these revelations.
