Chapter 91: Miserable Dai Mubai, Ye Wen's Two Choices for Zhu Zhuqing
Ye Wen nonchalantly swung his hammer, and with a bang, the hammer smashed the light wave, instantly dispersing it.
"How... how is this possible!!!" Dai Mubai was dumbfounded, a surge of fear welling up in his heart. The boy with the hammer—was he some kind of monster?!
"Damn it! Third soul skill, White Tiger King Kong Transformation!"
Dai Mubai's aura reached its peak. Under the enhancement of this third soul skill, his attack power and defense both doubled.
However, before Ye Wen, he was still utterly powerless.
"Get lost!"
Ye Wen swung his hammer again, sending Dai Mubai flying.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Ye Wen began hammering Dai Mubai repeatedly, each blow landing with immense force.
"Ahhhhhh!" Dai Mubai screamed in agony, battered beyond recognition.
The first hammer slammed into Dai Mubai's face, causing blood to pour from his nose, and one of his front teeth fell out.
The second hammer struck Dai Mubai's left leg, breaking the bone with a single blow.
The third hammer hit Dai Mubai's back, completely incapacitating him. He collapsed onto the ground, helpless and in a pitiful state.
Ye Wen placed his foot on Dai Mubai's face, looking down at the man beneath him coldly. "I told you it would be painful, didn't I? I warned you."
"You... you..." Dai Mubai weakly gazed up at Ye Wen, his eyes filled with terror.
He was actually terrified of this boy. He felt a kind of fear that he had never felt even when Zhao Wujie had beaten him.
But alongside the fear, Dai Mubai was also filled with intense anger, glaring at Ye Wen.
"What? Not convinced?"
Slap!
Ye Wen gave Dai Mubai another slap across the face.
Dai Mubai didn't dare to resist. He lay there, his head pressed to the ground, but his fists clenched tightly.
"Ye Wen, stop, please. That's enough, let's go." Zhu Zhuqing grabbed Ye Wen's arm.
She glanced at the miserable state of Dai Mubai on the ground. She felt a sense of relief but also a bit of reluctance. After all, Dai Mubai had been her fiancé since childhood, and she had once loved him.
But now, she had completely given up on this man.
Ye Wen removed his foot from Dai Mubai's face and shrugged nonchalantly. "Alright, then. I'm sure you won't be staying here at the Rose Hotel, so let's move ahead."
At this point, Ye Wen no longer saw Dai Mubai as a threat. Without the spirit grass, Dai Mubai was essentially useless in his eyes.
Even the talented Fire Wushuang and Feng Xiaotian were more impressive than him.
"Yeah, let's go," Zhu Zhuqing nodded, pausing for a moment before looking at Dai Mubai again. After two seconds of hesitation, she finally steeled herself and turned to leave.
"No, Zhu Qing!!"
"Don't leave! Don't go!! Zhu Qing!!!" Dai Mubai screamed as he lay on the ground, unable to get up. He could only watch as Ye Wen, Xie Hu, and Zhu Zhuqing walked away.
No matter how much Dai Mubai cried out, Zhu Zhuqing didn't look back.
Zhu Zhuqing had originally planned to come and get Dai Mubai to reorganize himself, to face the family competition together. But she never expected that she would end up coming to break up with him instead.
Since it was over now, Zhu Zhuqing saw no reason to go to Shrek Academy. She took a deep breath, then said, "Ye Wen, Xie Hu, I think I won't be going to Shrek Academy with you."
Ye Wen had anticipated this and said indifferently, "Well, there's nothing much to see there anyway. Not going is probably the right decision."
"Then why are you going to Shrek Academy?" Zhu Zhuqing asked, confused.
"Heh, our main goal isn't to study there, but to find someone. After we handle things, we'll leave." Ye Wen explained.
"I see."
"So, now that you're completely done with Dai Mubai, returning to the Ghostly Spirit Cat family means only one thing—either your sister Zhu Zhu Yun will kill you, or you'll be locked up after the family head position is decided," Ye Wen glanced at Zhu Zhuqing.
"I won't go back there. That cold family, that place, there's nothing left for me to yearn for." Zhu Zhuqing's resolve was clear. She wanted to break free from the arranged marriage and escape the family; she no longer wanted to compete.
"So if you're not going to Shrek Academy and you're not going back to the Zhu family, where will you go?"
Zhu Zhuqing's gaze was tinged with a hint of melancholy. "I don't know. It doesn't matter where I go now. I know that once the Star Luo Imperial Crown Prince's succession is decided, my sister Zhu Zhu Yun will take the family head position. So I'll be taken back, and then imprisoned for life."
The Ghostly Spirit Cat family was cold-hearted like that—once the family head position was secured, any remaining competitors would either be killed or imprisoned. Even if they escaped, it would be futile.
For a heartless family like that, you could be taken back no matter where you were unless you vanished forever.
"I'll give you two options. Do you want to hear them?" Ye Wen said.
"What are the two options?" Zhu Zhuqing asked.
"The first option: stick with me. After we finish what we need to do at Shrek Academy, we'll establish our own academy. You can come and cultivate there. The second option is to join the Spirit Hall."
Ye Wen paused for a moment before continuing. "If the Zhu family secures the family head position and your sister forces you to the brink of death, the only place that can protect you is Spirit Hall."
"I can confidently tell you, besides Spirit Hall, if you join us, we can protect you from anyone. No matter who or which force tries to harm you, they won't be able to touch you. As long as we want to protect you, including Spirit Hall."
Ye Wen's confident words left Zhu Zhuqing stunned and shaken.
Who exactly was he to speak such arrogant words, so shamelessly?
Who were they, to have cultivated to the Soul Venerable level at such a young age?
Zhu Zhuqing was now filled with curiosity about Ye Wen and Xie Hu's background.
"Who are you? What's your background?" Zhu Zhuqing couldn't help but ask.
"If you join us, I think you'll soon find out." Ye Wen smiled, not revealing the full truth just yet.
Since activating the hidden tasks and realizing he could create his own divine realm, Ye Wen had already thought it through.
His divine realm, his influence, might not be limited to soul beasts; it could include humans too.
His divine realm could allow both soul beasts and human gods to coexist, after all, soul beasts grew too slowly while humans advanced quickly.
