Chapter 231 - Chapter 231 Call out the strongest among you!

"Amikos, King of Poseidonia Kingdom, son of the esteemed Sea God Poseidon and the Bithynian Nymph, I am Jason, captain of this Argo. We are on the journey to Colchis Island to obtain the golden fleece and glorify the gods. If possible, please allow us to resupply in your kingdom so we may continue our journey."

Upon seeing Amikos approach the Argo with a large number of soldiers, surrounding the ship with hostile expressions, Jason quickly stepped forward and revealed his backing to the muscular, tall, and robust demigod below.

However, Amikos did not listen to him at all; he merely narrowed his eyes, carefully observed the Heroes on the ship, and then asked:

"Who is Heracles? And who is Perseus?"

"Do you need them for something?"

Jason asked.

"Hmph, you don't need to shield them here."

Amikos sneered:

"Just call them out, otherwise, your ship won't leave this port."

After hearing Amikos's words, Jason was slightly displeased, but the opponent's combat strength was clearly superior to his. Therefore, the blond youth patiently explained to this person:

"Heracles has already disembarked due to an accident and is not on the ship now. As for Perseus…"

"Hey, muscleman, what do you want with me?"

Before Jason could finish his sentence, Perseus proactively poked his head out from the ship, looking at Amikos on the ground, and asked.

"You are Perseus?"

Amikos carefully examined Perseus's physique, then ordered:

"Seize him for me."

"Wait a moment."

Perseus raised his hand and asked:

"Are you out of your mind? We have no past grievances or recent animosity. How have I offended you? You want to seize me the moment we meet?"

"Didn't offend me?" Amikos sneered, "Don't tell me you've forgotten what you did in the Parthenon in Athens. Back then, you lorded over others, following that Heracles to blaspheme my father, the great Sea God Poseidon. Today, it's time for you to repay your sins with your own blood!"

"Nonsense!" Perseus widened his eyes. Amikos initially thought he was going to prove his innocence, but to his surprise, Perseus exclaimed, "To beat up a mere Poseidon, do I, your grandpa, still need to team up with Heracles? I think you're insulting my abilities! Does that old dog Poseidon deserve it?"

As soon as these words were uttered, people on the Argo immediately began taking deep breaths. Even the gods observing everything from above the clouds fell silent. Only Zeus clapped his hands and loudly declared:

"Well said! As expected of my child, so courageous!"

On the Argo, Jason felt his heart was about to jump out of his chest from fright, and he quickly said:

"He said that himself; it has nothing to do with the rest of us!"

"Look at your timid expressions, so scared of a Poseidon. Isn't it shameful? You've disgraced the gods you serve."

Perseus scratched his ear, blew on it, and then directly flew off the ship using his winged sandals, taunting Amikos:

"You dog son, come chase me if you dare."

After speaking, he turned and flew away. Amikos furiously ordered his soldiers to attack Perseus with arrows and javelins, but the arrows shot and javelins thrown by the ordinary soldiers simply could not reach Perseus's height. They could only watch helplessly as this arrogant sinner gracefully flew away, disappearing into some unknown corner of the kingdom behind them.

"Search for him! Find that fellow, and if you don't, I'll sacrifice all of you to my father!"

Amikos stomped his feet, directing his soldiers, and under his command, these soldiers dared not delay. They quickly ran into the city-state and kingdom territory behind them, beginning to search everywhere for traces of Perseus.

"That guy, not only is he no help, but he's going to ruin everything for us!"

Jason covered his head and sighed:

"The King of Poseidonia Kingdom will definitely not give us supplies anymore."

"So what should we do?" Asclepius stepped forward and quietly showed Jason a bottle of green potion from his sleeve: "Should I give him something hardcore?"

"No need. He is the son of the Sea God Poseidon. If we kill him, the Sea God will surely cause us trouble, and we will be dealing with the sea for a long time to come."

Jason's mind was relatively clear. He directly ordered:

"We won't ask for supplies anymore. Everyone will go hungry for two days, and we'll try to resupply the ship when we reach the next kingdom!"

After speaking, Jason ordered the Heroes to quickly start rowing. They pulled up the ropes and anchors, and the fifty Heroes worked together, attempting to leave the port and depart from Poseidonia Kingdom while Amikos's attention was still focused on Perseus.

But just as their ship had sailed out of the port, a series of huge waves suddenly surged from the sea outside the port. These waves directly pushed the Argo back into the port, returning it to where they had just been docked.

Jason poked his head out from the ship and saw Amikos standing in his original position, arms crossed, calmly watching them. Seeing Jason poke his head out, he snorted and said:

"You scoundrels, why are you trying to leave without listening to me, your King? How rude!"

"We merely wish to continue our journey. We have not offended Poseidon in any way, nor do we intend to."

Jason said:

"Can you truly not let us pass? We can swear not to help that Perseus."

"You don't want to offend, so you think you can leave my kingdom?"

Amikos said quite arrogantly:

"Who do you think you are? Heroes? Ha, in the presence of the Sea God, you are all just ants. How to deal with you is not up to your will, but ours."

On the ship, Jason covered his head, his face showing considerable resentment and regret, evidently cursing a certain "companion" who had flown away in his heart, regretting why he had agreed to let him on board in the first place.

And replacing him was Asclepius, the first mate of the Argo, who bowed his head and asked Amikos:

"Then, Your Majesty, what would you like us to do for you?"

"It's simple."

Amikos clenched his fists and laughed loudly:

"Call out the strongest among you and have him fight me in a boxing match. If he can defeat me, I will let you leave. Not only that, I can also replenish your ship's supplies!"
