Chapter 42 - Prologue

VOLUME 4 — PROLOGUE

Early Times: Eternal Conflict

Long ago… following the downfall of the Dragon Kingdom, two beings were born whose power defied all imagination.

In heaven, Luna was born, who became the Goddess of Harmony; at the age of 16, she was sent to a city called Aurelion

And in hell, Nathan was born, who became the new King of Demons and took control of hell.

After his father's death, everything changed. Even before his passing, he had confided a secret to him — one that sounded more like a warning than a tale of war. He spoke of Valdor — a being that should no longer exist, yet might return. He claimed he could feel it. That something was awakening.

Yet a decade later, Luna and Nathan began a conflict that had no discernible beginning and no fully comprehensible cause. It was like a force of nature. Inevitable.

Their war lasted for decades.

Worlds burned, and continents cracked under the pressure of their power. The sky tore apart like a fabric no one could mend.

Cities vanished in an instant. Entire races were wiped from existence, as if they had never existed. The earth was soaked in blood, and the air was heavy with death.

And yet… neither of them could win.

Their powers were equal. Their existences intertwined. They could not kill each other, they could not defeat each other, they could not end this war.

The Goddess of Harmony looked upon the destruction spreading across the world, and for the first time… she hesitated.

She could no longer bear to watch the suffering. The death. The world dying because of their conflict.

So she did something no one expected.

She made a proposal. A deal.

The Demon King accepted it without hesitation.

The war was to end… not by their own hands, but by those of the chosen ones.

They were each to select five warriors. Ten chosen ones — the most powerful, the most talented, and the most dangerous.

In their hands would rest the fate of two gods… and the entire world.

The Goddess chose her five. The Demon King chose his.

Warriors whose names would be written into history… or erased from it.

But this was no ordinary choice.

The gods did not entrust the fate of the world to mortals without safeguards.

Each of the ten warriors was given a gift. An artifact. Something that transcended ordinary magic.

Demon Arcs — fragments of the gods' own power.

Each contained a different essence: speed, strength, wisdom, gravity, the elements… and much more that could not even be named.

Thanks to them, the warriors became more than human.

Their bodies were strengthened. Their minds expanded. Their capabilities… knew no bounds.

But this was not power they received for free.

They had to unlock it. Understand it. Survive it.

Some never reached their full potential.

Others… crossed the boundaries.

The warriors trained. They fought. They died. And they rose again.

For the gift of the gods had one more quality.

Immortality.

Not in the form of eternal life… but of eternal return.

When they died — they were reborn.

Anew. In a different body. In a different time.

But with the same memories. With the same past. With the same burden.

The war of the gods never ended.

It was merely transferred…

To the battlefield of humans.
