Chapter 5 - SYSTEM EXPLANATION.

Nyxil – The Celestial System

This is the system Adrian Arden was born with, a fragment of a celestial entity given long before his birth.

It shows up as a floating interface, sometimes with text, sometimes just numbers, and occasionally… commentary. Nyxil likes to talk. A lot.

It tracks everything: stats, skills, quests, and yes, rewards. Especially the juicy ones that come from doing things most people would call "bad."

---

Core Stats

The basics that make Adrian, well… Adrian.

Strength (STR): How strong you are. How much you can lift, hit, and smash.

Agility (AGI): Speed, reflexes, dodging. The quicker you are, the harder it is to hit you.

Intelligence (INT): Magic potential, tactical thinking, and how big your mana pool is.

Charisma (CHA): Leadership, persuasion, influence and his physical appearance. People listen when this stat is high.

Luck (LUK): Critical hits, rare drops, chance-based effects. Sometimes the difference between winning or losing is just luck.

Then there are the secondary stats, like HP, mana, defense, perception, stealth… all the little numbers that make the core stats actually matter.

---

Skills

Adrian has a mix of skills. Some are combat-focused, others are… let's say "creative."

Combat Skills: Swordsmanship, martial arts, ranged weapons. Nothing too fancy. Just deadly.

Mischief Skills: Stealth, sabotage, subtle tricks. Perfect for causing chaos without anyone noticing.

Artifact/Magic Use: Special items, magic from quests—basically anything rare and useful.

System Skills: Only comes from leveling up or completing ascension quests. These are unique and often game-changing.

How Adrian Levels Up

Experience comes from killing monsters, finishing quests, or… cleverly manipulating situations.

Every 10 levels, Adrian must complete a "bad deed" to ascend. Not optional. Not negotiable. A single major act of mischief, sabotage, or manipulation. And the reward? Well, that depends on how daring or immoral it was.

When he finishes an ascension, he can choose one of three things:

Learn a new skill

Gain a rare artifact

Boost one core stat five times

---

Limits and Balance

The system or maybe the world itself won't let Adrian get out of hand. There are level caps, and when hunters defeat major bosses, the world levels up too. That means stronger monsters, new bosses, and fresh challenges. Basically: the higher he climbs, the harder the world pushes back.

---

Bad Deeds – The Fun Stuff

Bad deeds are like quests with a moral twist.

Examples?

Sabotage a rival organization

Steal forbidden artifacts

Manipulate events for your own gain

The bigger and riskier the deed, the bigger the reward : stat boosts, rare skills, legendary artifacts. But be careful: drawing too much attention from enemies, rival organizations, or other celestial entities is always a risk.

Nyxil – The Voice in His Head

Nyxil isn't just a system. It talks. It teases. Sometimes it's sarcastic. Sometimes it's worried. It tracks everything Adrian does: good, bad, or ridiculous. And yes, it occasionally groans in disbelief at Adrian's twisted logic.
