"Hmph, you're fast." She couldn't hide her admiration for their speed. It was the first time she had ever been pushed this hard in a chase, and all the more astonishing that her pursuers were just kids.
"But this is as far as you go, Soul-Technique: Hidden Mist." She murmured softly as she raced into the village. With a whispered incantation, a thick fog rose from the ground like curling smoke, instantly shrouding everything behind her before anyone even realized what was happening.
"Isn't this!?"
They were stunned. That ability belonged to one of her accomplices, so how could she, of all people wield it? Soul-Techniques were unique to each hunter, and judging by her power to summon the mist, it likely came from a Sub-Elementalist Soul-Core, a core that was rarely ever activated.
