Chapter 1 - Chapter 0: The Supreme Invincible System?! (Prologue)

In the Lower Realm, upon the XuanYi Continent—one of the ten great landmasses of the vast and ancient Great Xuan Yuan Realm—the air was thick with the aftermath of rain.

High in the mountains, water dripped from broad leaves in clear, rhythmic chimes, each drop striking the damp earth with a soft plink. The calls of unseen birds wove through the misty canopy, their songs creating a tapestry of life that made the deep silence of the forest feel both lively and profound.

On a bed of rain-soaked grass, a man lay as if cast from a divine dream. His features were of an impossible perfection—a jawline sharp enough to cut the very air, a nose elegantly straight, and a face proportioned with such harmony it seemed to defy mortal artistry. His brows were like strokes of abyssal ink, and when his eyelids lifted, they revealed eyes of a radiant, bloody crimson, glowing with the serene menace of a moon that heralds annihilation. His skin was the white of untouched jade, purer than the first snow upon the peak of a sacred dao mountain. His hair spilled around him like a river of liquid darkness, so deep and black it made true night seem pale and shallow.

To call him beautiful would be an insult. He was a vision beyond the grasp of painters, a fantasy too potent for dreamers. He was the unattainable ideal, and his very existence felt like a quiet rebellion against reality.

Slowly, those devastating red eyes opened. There was no confusion in them, no surprise—only a bottomless calm, as if the rise and fall of worlds could not stir even a flicker of interest within his gaze.

[Supreme Invincible System Activated…]

A voice, clear and melodious like chimes of crystal, resonated in the depths of his mind.

[Good morning, Host 'Luo Fan'.]

Luo Fan's eyes shifted slightly, focusing on the faint, blue rectangular interface that hovered before him, translucent yet distinctly present.

"Good morning," he replied, his voice a low, undisturbed murmur. "What are you, anyway?"

[Host may be confused. I am the Supreme Invincible System—the strongest system in all existence, a force above all forces, a might beyond might.]

Luo Fan did not flinch. His expression remained placid, though a subtle sharpness entered his gaze as he studied the floating screen. He did not doubt its existence—such strangeness was simply a new fact to be understood.

"You speak as though you are truly omnipotent and omniscient," he remarked, tone even, almost conversational. "And yet you appear to me only as a system. A tool."

[That is correct. However, I am a tool meant only for the rightful person who shall claim the title of Supreme Invincible—the True Ruler of Everything.]

This time, a flicker of curiosity passed through Luo Fan's crimson eyes. "You say I am that rightful person? By what standard was I chosen?"

[I did not choose you. No one did. It is simply because you possess me that you are my Master. I do not exist without you. Therefore, you are my Host, and my Master.]

A moment of silence lingered between them, filled only by the distant drip of water and the call of a mountain bird.

"So," Luo Fan said softly. "What can you do?"

[I can grant any wish. Any power. Any treasure. Anything that exists or does not—I can give it to you, Host.]

"Then I wish to understand your existence."

Instantly, a flood of knowledge unfolded within Luo Fan's mind—vast, intricate, and immediately comprehensible. It was not forced; it simply was, as though he were remembering something he had always known.

"I see," Luo Fan murmured, the tension in his shoulders easing almost imperceptibly. "No hidden motives, then…"

He slowly raised a hand, fingers outstretched toward the blue screen. His fingertips passed through it as though through a mirage—there, yet fundamentally untouchable.

"So," Luo Fan thought, his mind crystalline and precise, "the System did not bind itself to me when I awoke. It has always been part of my existence. We are one, yet not merged—I retain full control. Even over it."

A faint, almost imperceptible smile touched his lips. "It's like a cheat tool meant for a protagonist in those cultivation novels I once read."

"Then," he whispered aloud, "this should be… quite fun."

He rose to his feet in one fluid, effortless motion. In his mind, he configured the System—commanding it to announce his wishes clearly and provide detailed explanations from now on. His thoughts were calm, deliberate.

"Very well. First, I wish for power that will render me truly invincible—power that places me above all else."

[Ding. Master has received 'Supreme Invincible Power'.]

[Supreme Invincible Power: An invincible and supreme force granting the ability to manipulate, control, destroy, create, and command all forms of power and existence according to your will.]

Luo Fan's smile deepened subtly. His gaze fell upon a great oak tree standing before him, its branches heavy with ripe apples, its trunk thick with a century of life.

Then, without a sound, without a shift in the air—the oak was simply gone.

In its place stood a magnificent sakura tree, in full bloom, petals drifting gently like pink snow. As though it had always been there.

"So I can manipulate reality and existence itself," Luo Fan mused inwardly. "Controlling this power is easier than breathing."

He let the thought linger, feeling the boundless depth of what he now held. Then his mind turned once more.

"I wish for an invincible background—one that cannot be rivaled, cannot be overlooked, yet grants me complete freedom and privilege."

[Ding. Master now holds the identity of Young Master of the Primordial Supreme Monarch 'Luo Clan'.]

[Luo Clan: The most powerful clan across all realms. Its influence permeates every layer of existence, standing above the Dao itself for countless eons. The Luo Clan possesses innumerable branch families across every dimension, with countless vassal clans and slaves in nearly every known realm.]

A torrent of information flowed into him—history, hierarchy, power structures, the sheer unimaginable scale of the Luo Clan's dominance. For a fraction of a second, Luo Fan's eyes narrowed in deep contemplation.

"If this clan alone is my background," he reflected, "it would already be the supreme cheat. And yet the System granted it instantly… Even knowing its full capabilities, I still underestimated it. By far."
