Chapter 6 - 6

Eir suffered from existential depression.

Pessimistic and unbelieving in existence… she saw no meaning in life, no desire to live or even to get out of bed.

For her, life was something to be dealt with rather than enjoyed.

Before her first crime and her arrival in the village, she had attempted suicide many times.

She thought about slitting her wrists, jumping off a building, even taking an overdose of drugs — but she always backed out at the last moment.

She did not believe in justice and saw that her rights could only be taken by her own hands.

After long patience and constant endurance, she ended up killing the one who had exploited and hurt her in silence.

Knowing that she carried the DNA and genes of her father — the man who abused her mother — only embodied feelings of anger, frustration, and disgust toward her own body.

No matter how far she went from him, a part of him would always remain inside her until the day she died.
