As the competition progressed, Alice and Lucy found themselves in a heated battle with Veronica and her team. The tension in the air was palpable, and the stakes had never been higher. They had to outsmart their rival if they wanted to win.
"Let's distract them!" Lucy suggested, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "I'll create a diversion while you present the pie!"
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Alice asked, her heart racing. But Lucy was already off, making a scene by accidentally knocking over a display of cupcakes.
"Oops! My bad!" she exclaimed, drawing everyone's attention. Meanwhile, Alice took a deep breath and stepped up to present her pie.
As she spoke, she noticed Veronica glaring at her from across the room. "This is it," Alice thought, her heart pounding. "I can't let her intimidate me."
But just as she was about to finish her presentation, disaster struck. A sudden gust of wind blew through the open doors, sending her pie flying off the table and splattering against the wall.
"No!" Alice screamed, her heart sinking. The room fell silent, and all eyes were on her.
Lucy rushed back, wide-eyed. "What happened?"
"My pie!" Alice wailed, staring at the mess. But instead of feeling defeated, she felt a surge of determination. "We can still win this!"
