Hey there my name's Kyle I was on a forum one day talking crap about how Gen V totally neglected elemental powers other than fire especially ice and I talked about different Ice users like Gray fullbuster from fairy tail, Bobby Drake from X-Men, even Elsa from frozen. Apparently some ROB decided to put it to the test and sent me to Gen V Oh look it looks like im about to arrive.
(Freshman Dorm at Godolkin University)
Got it, Kyle 😅 I'll spin this into a proper Gen V-style fanfic continuation, keeping your premise, your ice-powers angle, and Emma as your love interest. Here's the next part of the story, slow-paced with plenty of detail so you can feel dropped right into Godolkin:
Chapter 1: Chill Arrival
The pounding in my skull was the first thing I noticed, like a hangover mixed with a concussion. Then the second thing hit me—literally—the smell of cheap detergent, stale pizza, and dorm air conditioning that hadn't been serviced since the Reagan administration.
I sat up on the narrow twin bed, clutching my temples.
"Ow… my head. What the hell—"
That's when it clicked. The posters on the wall weren't mine. Neither was the laminated Godolkin University welcome packet on the desk.
I swallowed hard.
"No way. No way the ROB actually—"
A nervous laugh escaped me. I wasn't in my crappy apartment anymore. This was real. Godolkin University. The place from Gen V. And that meant Homelander, The Seven, Vought… all the messed-up supe politics I'd only ever seen on a screen.
I held up my hands on instinct. Frost gathered at my fingertips, tiny tendrils of ice tracing down to my knuckles. Cold air shimmered faintly in the room.
"Holy crap," I whispered. "I actually have ice powers."
The door creaked open before I could process further.
"Uh, hi?"
I turned. A petite blonde girl peeked in, her oversized hoodie hanging loose over her frame. My brain short-circuited for a second. Emma Meyer. Little Cricket.
I froze—pun not intended.
She smiled awkwardly. "You must be the new guy. Kyle, right? They said I'd be showing you around."
I blinked at her, forcing my jaw not to drop. I knew this girl's whole arc from the show. Sweet, insecure, struggling with her own powers, desperate to be seen as more than a shrinking act. And now she was standing in my doorway, looking way more real than a screen ever made her.
"Yeah. Kyle. Uh… sorry, I just—headache. New surroundings. You know." I rubbed my neck, trying not to seem like some creep who'd binge-watched her life on Prime Video.
She stepped in, tucking hair behind her ear. "Don't worry. First days here always feel like a hangover. I'm a Freshman too just got here a day ago. Come on, I'll give you the five-cent tour before orientation starts."
As we walked down the hallway, I tried to act normal. Normal being relative, since I kept accidentally chilling the doorknobs I brushed against. Emma noticed once, raising an eyebrow.
"You nervous or something? You're… freezing everything."
"Oh. Uh—yeah. New power jitters. Guess I run cold."
She gave a soft laugh. "Better than setting things on fire. At least you won't burn the dorm down."
Her laugh warmed me more than the actual room temperature did.
We passed other freshmen—kids testing flashy powers, others nervously clinging to clipboards. I caught sight of Jordan Li walking by, switching effortlessly between forms like it was nothing. A few upperclassmen whispered about "top rankings" and "Vought scouts."
But all I could focus on was Emma, pointing out the cafeteria, the training halls, and the quad with its giant statue of The Seven looming over everything. She talked casually, but I caught the faint undercurrent of nerves, like she was used to being overlooked.
By the time we circled back to the dorm, I couldn't help blurting, "Hey, thanks for showing me around. You didn't have to."
She shrugged, smiling faintly. "I like helping people feel less lost. Godolkin's… intense. It's nice having someone normal to talk to."
I snorted. "Normal? I freeze door handles just by existing."
"Exactly," she said softly. "That's still less insane than most people here."
For the first time since arriving, I felt something ease in my chest. Maybe this place wouldn't be so bad.
That night, lying in bed staring at the ceiling, one thought kept circling in my head:
I had ice powers in a school built for chaos. Emma Meyer was the first person I'd met, and somehow I already wanted to protect her.
But if Gen V taught me anything, it's that nothing stays peaceful for long.
B
and suddenly there is a note in front of my face apparently telling me I have access to all of Gray Fullbuster and Elsa's abilities but I have to make it to season 2 to unlock Bobby Drakes abilities, fair considering he's omega level. Let's just hope nothing Crazy happens.
And sure enough, outside my window, I heard shouting. Something heavy crashed in the quad. My hands frosted over instinctively.
"Guess orientation starts early," I muttered, rolling out of bed.
