Chapter 3 - 3

Steve Rogers had always dreamed of joining the military and serving his country. However, due to his physical limitations, he was repeatedly rejected by the military. Even the clever Rogers tried to falsify his documents to gain admission, but the military wasn't foolish. After several attempts, he was blacklisted and never admitted again.

Fortunately, after the outbreak of World War II, Rogers saw new hope and enlisted again, but was kicked back. Rogers sometimes felt discouraged, and he envied others who became famous heroes in the world wars. Wolverine and Victor, two mutants, were invincible on the battlefield and had already entered the eyes of Captain America.

After the Stark Expo, Rogers was drawn to a nearby military recruitment advertisement. James, upon noticing it, tried to dissuade Rogers from enlisting, but the stubborn Rogers refused to give up. He bid James farewell and slowly left. He didn't notice Dr. Abraham Erskine, one of the researchers working on the "Super Soldier" project, observing him from the crowd. At that moment, Tang Tian, wearing a distinctive, handmade suit unlike those worn during World War II and sunglasses, approached and raised his hand.

"Mr. Donaldson has a good eye, and I think he can be a test subject for our plan." At the expo, in a deserted place, the middle-aged white doctor Erskine wearing glasses said with a smile.

"That's right. Using weak human experiments can help us get the best and most comprehensive experimental data. And what do you think about what I told you last time?" Tang Tian said to Erskine.

"I have to say, Mr. Donaldson's suggestion is very tempting. What the military doesn't know is that the main ingredient of the 'Super Soldier Serum' is derived from the large African chrysanthemum plant, Stairs of the Sun, discovered by Umbrella. It is also a non-infectious byproduct isolated from the unfathomable Stairs of the Sun. But if I don't have a good reason, I can't come to your company to conduct research."

Dr. Erskine certainly wanted to join this company. The research value of the substances extracted from the Stairs of the Sun was evident, and it was very attractive to a scientist.

"Don't worry about that. I've already prepared a genetic clone of you. You and Dr. William can research the latest biotechnology. It's the G-Virus, which is similar to the Progenitor virus," Tang Tian said slowly. Actually, this had been prepared long before. Anyone who's seen the movie knows that after Dr. Erskine succeeded in his research, Captain America was killed by Hydra agents. A clone was also prepared long ago for this situation. Furthermore, Umbrella's clones can have the exact same memories as the real person. Whether in the movie or the game, it can be seen that Umbrella's cloning technology is very advanced.

"Okay, I agree. I'll join Umbrella," Dr. Erskine said happily. This was understandable. He could research the valuable Solar Staircase plants, and Tang Tian offered him a position as a research project supervisor, compared to a senior researcher in the military. Dr. Erskine wasn't about to pass up the opportunity to show his talents. Of course, no one knew this reputable company was secretly researching dangerous biological weapons.

Another point to mention is that Dr. Erskine and Dr. William copied all the research information and experimental data of the "Super Soldier Serum". This is also Tang Tian's habit with high-tech technology - never let go of the wrong person.

Just like in a movie, Rogers underwent a physical exam, and Dr. Erskine arrived at the door. Of course, no one realized he was just a clone, nearly lifelike. Tang Tian's plan to conceal his true identity was to replace the fake with the real one. After the fake Erskine died, the great boss would convince Erskine to fully join his company. Furthermore, during the vacuum of World War II, he would constantly travel back to the movie world to plunder technology and talent. This would allow him to defeat the perverts like the Sentinel and Superman in the future, when Marvel was in chaos.

Ahem, we've gotten off topic, let's get back to the original story.

Unlike the movie, this time it was Erskine, a clone, who arrived. After Rogers's information was prepared, the military police sent the doctor out, leaving Rogers bewildered in the examination room. Seeing that forging a certificate was illegal, Rogers's mind froze, his first instinct being to run away. However, the arrival of the guards inside made him hesitant to act rashly.

"So, you want to go abroad and kill Nazis?" The clone Dr. Erskine said to the puzzled Rogers as soon as he came in.

"What did you say?" Rogers watched the military policeman walk out without saying anything, and he knew that this middle-aged man was a big shot.

"I'm Dr. Abraham Erskine of the Strategic Scientific Reserve, Steve Rogers." Dr. Erskine shook hands with the dazed Rogers, as if everything was under control. The clone's reaction was obviously faster than the original Erskine.

"Where are you from? Queens, Utopia Avenue, 73rd Street... Your five files list five different cities..." The cloned Dr. Erskine listed all the information like the back of his hand.

"Maybe the wrong document was taken." Rogers certainly wouldn't admit it like a fool.

"No, that's not the document I'm interested in. You've tried five times, and you haven't answered my previous question yet." The cloned Dr. Erskine closed the document and continued, "Tell me, do you really want to go to the battlefield and kill Nazis?"

"Is this a test?" Rogers asked doubtfully.

"Yes." The clone Dr. Erskine said with a slight smile.

"I don't want to kill anyone, and I don't want to be a devil, no matter where they are from." Rogers said seriously.

"Okay, there are already many big guys participating. It doesn't matter if there is a small guy. I can give you a chance, just a chance." The clone Dr. Erskine opened the curtain and walked out.

"I accept." How could Rogers give up this hard-earned opportunity? If he did, he would be a real fool.

"Very good." The clone, Dr. Erskine, was very satisfied. He then asked Rogers, "Then can you tell me where you are from? Tell the truth."

"Brooklyn." Rogers said excitedly. He never expected that after all the difficulties he faced, he could finally join the army.

The clone Erskine handed Rogers the stamped document. Rogers, seeing the first-class acceptance on the file, was overjoyed. Of course, he didn't know that all this was the result of some arms dealer's manipulation. Captain America would soon appear. Hydra, having acquired the Cosmic Cube, was rapidly developing energy weapons. Everything was unfolding according to the plot.

P.S. The author just came back so the update is late. Thanks for your support, votes, recommendations, and collections. The next step is to occupy Planet of the Apes 2001 and the Deep Space Amnesia Plane as colonies, and use them as the headquarters of Umbrella's high-tech weapons and the Iron Empire.
