Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The 300-Pound Surprise

"Ouch!"

Levi exclaimed, as he was suddenly tackled onto the sofa by 2B, which promptly broke with a loud 'bang'.

Had he not been young and agile, Levi felt he might have been crushed beneath her weight.

How could 2B, his seemingly perfect creation, feel like a mountain?

That's when he noticed the number: 148.8 kg.

Kilograms?

Levi felt dizzy. This slender, seemingly flawless goddess before him was nearly 300 pounds!

"I'm sorry!" 2B apologized, quickly helping Levi to his feet.

She explained, "I was just too excited to see a human! I've never seen a human either on the space station or on Earth!"

Apparently, she possessed memories.

Yet, Levi wasn't worried. The system assured him she would completely obey him, more reliably than the three laws of robotics.

"So, 2B, can you tell me about your past experiences?" Levi asked, wanting to build rapport.

2B obliged, recounting her experiences. Hearing about Earth's tragic state, Levi felt relieved he hadn't transmigrated to the Nier universe, where humans were in dire straits.

In these worlds, humans seemed to suffer quite a bit, like in the Stellar Blade universe where they became Naytibas.

2B declared, "My mission is to protect humans, Master, and from now on, I will protect only you."

"That's good," Levi nodded. "Since that's the case, then stay by my side."

The next day, a luxurious Maybach cruised down into downtown Manhattan.

If anyone saw the driver, they'd be shocked.

She was wearing a black mask while driving!

The driver was 2B, and the black mask was her tactical visor, which didn't hinder her at all.

Levi sat comfortably in the back seat, sipping a cold drink from the car's refrigerator.

Yesterday, he hadn't gone to the company to specifically test 2B's capabilities.

As expected, 2B excelled in everything from laundry and cooking to more personal tasks.

She even stated that if Levi wished, she could perform tasks like a human.

Aside from being a bit heavy, she was flawless.

To manage 2B, Levi realized he needed to exercise more.

Perhaps next, he should consider some body-strengthening Future Technology?

His Prestige value had already soared to 200,000.

Tony Stark, the playboy, generated plenty of traffic!

Even his escapades with cover models made headlines!

Unlike Levi, who could only piggyback on Tony's popularity for now.

Soon, the Maybach arrived near Stark Industries.

Levi got out, allowing 2B to drive to the parking lot.

"Master, there are too many people here, which might pose a threat to you," 2B observed through her tactical visor, noting the crowd with cameras.

Levi agreed that reporters were indeed crazy.

But at this moment, he needed them.

"Don't worry, 2B. Just go to my office and wait for me," he instructed.

"Alright." 2B complied.

Levi tidied his hair, elegantly opened the car's back door, and stepped out.

"Mr. Levi!"

"Genius Scientist!"

The moment Levi emerged, he was swarmed by eager reporters.

Tony Stark had criticized Levi the day before, and Levi hadn't responded yet.

How could the news be only half-reported?

If there's no news, create some!

Reporters had camped outside the Future Technology building since early morning.

Levi smiled as Future Technology's security team helped block the reporters.

These guards were tall and robust, but on closer inspection, many had mechanical prosthetics—an achievement of Future Technology.

"Mr. Levi, what do you think about Tony Stark calling you a fake scientist? He seems to look down on your background, believing you're not scientifically rigorous."

Microphones were thrust into Levi's face.

He disliked the proximity of so many microphones and stepped back.

With a smile, Levi replied, "I've always said that Mr. Stark and I are not enemies; we can cooperate, but unfortunately, he doesn't see it that way."

He subtly implied Tony Stark's pettiness, delighting the reporters.

Initially, Levi hadn't antagonized Tony Stark, but reporters' imaginations had fueled the fire, escalating their rivalry.

Just like now, Levi had watched the live broadcast the day before; Tony hadn't actually made some of the statements—it was the reporters' embellishments.

It could be said that the tension between Levi and Tony was partly due to these reporters.

Of course, Tony Stark was indeed a difficult character, and Levi wasn't keen on befriending him.

"If I'm a fake, then everything Mr. Stark makes is trash, isn't it? I don't like him talking about himself that way!"

Levi continued sarcastically, "Our Future Technology aims to benefit the world, to create a world without the weak. Perhaps Mr. Stark needs our new Future Technology."

"Make way!" Levi announced, moving inside, as the reporters were reluctant to let him go.

"Mr. Levi, say more, say a little more!"

They clamored for more news.

But Levi, accompanied by his strong security, was ushered inside, leaving the reporters behind.

These guards were retired disabled soldiers, given new life through Future Technology's innovations, fiercely loyal to the company.

Just then, Tony Stark arrived at the company, and the reporters immediately flocked to him.

"Mr. Stark, the genius scientist Mr. Levi just said that everything you make is trash. What's your response?"

Tony Stark, just out of his car, was instantly incensed.

He shouted, "That fake's creations have never proven themselves! They haven't even been on the battlefield. Oh, it's because the Pentagon doesn't trust his creations at all, which is why he can't get orders!"

Tony Stark mocked, "The full potential of his creations can only be seen in his presentations, just like the U.S. military's sixth-generation fighter jet…"

"Cough, cough."

Realizing his slip, Tony Stark quickly added, "If he can really create a perfect artificial intelligence, I'll run naked in Times Square!"

Just kidding.

Even a genius like him had invested significant effort into creating Jarvis, and it still wasn't perfect AI.

Levi had boasted of creating perfect AI, sparking worldwide curiosity and skyrocketing his Prestige value…
